Someone was making an Aus mod, but never released anything to do with it, what I thought it was going to be was each state becoming substates of the UK when they historically got representative government (Also, The Cape colony shoule also receive this nominal independence in 1872) and then eventually becoming the federation in 1901, complete with events for possible inclusion/exclusion of NZ.

I think the number of points required to make a colony a state is based off of the distance from your capital, and I think also based on if it's on another continent. So you can get Algeria and shit turned into states at relatively low cost, but Quebec is a lot further away and thus costs more. Pretty BS obviously, especially considering most of Canada in 1836 is only 'colonial' in the sense that it's not a proper part of the British motherland, not because it's uncivilized/undeveloped.

I actually took Leningrad hex and I believe I could have eradicated that pocket if I had more time. Pic related is close-up on that pocket. However in full campaign I think that I wouldn't succeed mainly because I threw almost every division to Leningrad and near lake Ladoga. Alright, I cut out the state of emergency government because it had too many bugs with it.

I also did some stuff for pop growth and immigration, but the main change is Africa, sub saharan africa can no longer get a zombie outbreak until the 1880s when colonization starts, except for South Africa. I really doubt there could be massive zombie hordes in the jungles without them all disintegrating, so I'll push it up to 1880. This also makes the later game less of a boring wait since people can only field like 3 brigades. I'm also going to add some events to increase pop growth and life rating in provinces with less than 10k pops

Old Paradox had several advanced mathematics people, like Chris King, who programmed Victoria 2's economy. You need that sort of person on a dev team to do the heavy-duty sort of programming involving lots of math required for anything complex.
Neo-Paradox consists mostly of modders they've hired, who can do great things (see Darkest Hour) but are mostly just retards who learned Paradox's simple scripting syntax and think they can program, but can't actually implement anything. I've been adjusting the pops in the Cape, and some interesting things I've found out is that there were several thousand Malay living there, mostly as fishermen and artisans.
Additionally, according to one source there were fewer than 30,000 Khoisan left by 1830, far less than are there in the game. Of course this is bound to be inaccurate due to the difficulties in recording that population, but it's such a discrepancy with the game (~20k Khoisan in Capetown alone) that I wonder if I should adjust it to a lower number nonetheless.
I would also replace some of the removed Khoisan with some sort of 'Coloured', 'Africander' or 'Griqua' culture.

Apparently it used to be good, but I think recent updates have really taken it down the meme path. As for your suggestion for the Xhosa, breaking them into separate tags is not something I'll do soon mostly on account of it being time-consuming and me being lazy. But I can certainly add some events of some sort to represent the disunity among the Xhosa, and the cattle-killing.
