Does HEATFS ever get better? I'm using the 85mm one on the Type 62 and it's barely doing more damage than APCR. In my experience so far it's basically APCR with higher pen.

Same experience here, I'm going to study the ammo layout for tanks I'm facing the most to make the best out of HEAT-FS. The pen is great and can kill pretty much everything up to 7.7, but the damage is just a long straight rod.

The Type's mobility is decent though, but still same as T-34. I usually bring the two together or change the 34 for a T-V to hopefully have less uptier.

I took it out in test mode and sometimes it took several hits for the ammo to detonate even if I shoot the rows of ammo directly from a Panther's or a Tiger II's front.

In actual gameplay a lot of them would also go hull down and they wouldn't wait for me to finish reloading (and they reload faster). It really feels like the only way to get kills in this thing would be for the enemy to be extremely stupid and just sit there and let me kill them.

I'm just going to J out in Carpathians from now on, Gaijin managed to find a way to make it worse. Its like all the AIs they took from White Rock Fortress, Hurtgen, Jungle they put them in Carpathians.
