I think they're making the characters stupid about Lea/Axel for the sake of building up drama. Or at least I hope so. Axel/Lea has never been trust worthy, and sure you could say "But he didn't have a heart!" which is true, but he actually started growing a heart at the end of CoM. And what did he do when he started to feel emotions? He immediately became a huge sadist while watching and instigating the chaos in Castle Oblivion. Axel was also still a secretive, poisonous, possessive and a total jerk in Days. People just over emphasize the "good" things he's done because of how much of a crazy asshole he is and because he has such a hard on for Roxas (and at certain points Xion. "You can keep running. I'll always be there to bring you back!", goddamn Axel's like an abusive boyfriend to anyone he's interested in.

Ventus is in a weird gap.

He's younger than the early 20 somethings that Aqua and Terra re, but he's apparently older than the 15/16 year old Sora was.

Ehh, I personally think most of the English VA's sound better than the Japanese VA's, but the Japanese VA's that are good are very good.
