Demon's Souls takes place betweem Dark Souls universe and Bloodborne universe.

The nightmares were created in the first place because the Old One, the first great one, dreamed them into existence a la Azathoth. By lulling him into sleep at the end of Demon's Souls magic was lost and the dreamlands were allowed to keep existing (this is where the "Nightmares" and "Dreams" got their name from). We also see evidence of the Old One's fog being able to create physical realities out of thoughts in Shrine of Storms.

Then we get to Bloodborne. We see the evience in Father Gascoine, who came fron a foreign land and mentions the "Umbas word, he probably came from Boletaria.

It is here that Chester is somehow pulled into the past into Dark Souls 1.

Aldrich saw all of this coming and could have potentially avoided the age of great ones or age of Deep Sea or become a Great One himself but we kill him in Dark Soul 3.

Not exactly.
1. Don't kill Djura. Doesn't matter if he shoots at you or if you kill beasts or the hunter on the way, just don't kill Djura.
2. Kill Blood Starved Beast. After you do so snatchers will appear and the door at the Cathedral Ward will open.
3. Go to the Gaol. Get killed by a snatcher, there's one right outside the Ward so just look for it and die.
4. Meet Paarl. Doesn't matter if you kill him or not, just receive the insight by looking at his health bar and that's enough.
5. Talk to Djura. Either from Paarl's or BSB's lamp go to his tower. Some say that you can't kill any beasts on the way but I've done so and still could talk to him, just make sure he doesn't see/shoot at you before being at the top of the tower.

I got it for fucking free and still feel I wasted money. It was fine up until Iron Keep and Shaded Woods. Chariot was shit but manageable, but Iron Keep's knights are fucking Red Spider tier since they aggro from across the fucking map and Shaded Woods has literal invisible enemies and more cheap ambushes than anywhere else so far.

I was burnt out on Bloodborne, but fucking hell playing this mess is really rekindling that fire huehuehue. Wouldn't be so bad if I could just co-op through some areas, but I have seen a grand total of three actual human summon signs so far and have been invaded by humans twice. No one plays it.

It has the heaviest stun of any weapon, it does poison on a few attacks and has a couple attacks with projectiles, The running r2 multi-hits for around 1000, a lot of it's attacks are multihit, a couple of the attacks have literally bullshit range like the charged and tricked r2 .

No the l2 is always a stationary thing that takes like 2 seconds but the sprint into R2 is kind of a double armed hug that hits for like 100 then 200 then 700 damage. I think Byrgenwerth was dredging up all sorts of shit from those Labyrinths. The blood the nameless scholar fled with has to have been Pthumerian in origin since Bloodlickers and Gargoyles show up in the Labyrinths and Cainhurst almost exclusively (the bloodlickers in the Hunter's Nightmare look a little different, could just be turned Vilebloods honestly) and Maria was a distant Cainhurst relative and had that same fire and blood-based abilities used by Pthumerians like HMPH and Queen Yharnam.

You just don't need it. There's no point in the game that you can hit someone more than 4 or 5 times before having to dodge out and you can do that with 15 end. Some of the heavier weapons can do with some extra end but even then you can pretty much do the whole game with the heaviest weapons going ham at 20 end.

The likelihood of this is very, very slim. For one, there are specific details to be gleaned from trophy descriptions that we can't get elsewhere. We know for a fact that the Lecture Hall is the -byrgenwerth- lecture hall because the trophy description tells us so, although this could reasonably be deduced within the game itself thanks to the designs of the doors, chandeliers and so on. It helps to have direct confirmation though. Similarly, trophy descriptions canonize the Abandoned Old Workshop as the "Source of the Dream". Besides that, the trophy names themselves(mostly for the endings) are fairly esoteric in relation to the story. Take "Childhood's Beginning" as an example. The name is directly referencing something that Bloodborne likely took inspiration from, and as such strikes me as a deeper, more nuanced title than could be given by some Sony intern with no vested interest in the lore. In fact I find it probable that Miyazaki had a direct say in this, given that he's a well-read fucker and Childhood's End seems right up his alley.

Consequently, I'm not keen to dismiss the trophy descriptions when they tell us Rom or the Emissary are Great Ones. Occam's Razor says that Kin and Great Ones are not mutually exclusive concepts.

stand by his sides and hack at his legs. That will make his attacks more predictable (stil requires a lot of mad rolling skills tho) and eventually stagger him, leading to a visceral attack and some serious damage.
If you have balls of brass and a weapon with vertical attack range (like Logarius' or Ludwig's), get some hits on his head. That will do something like 2x the damage and stun him that much faster. Of course, his most damaging attacks (including the infamous one-hit kill charge) are focused on the front, so that's not as much the smarter choice as it's the most fun and fast one.

LHB really isn't that boring. The 2H L2 attack will stun almost any enemy; it's like the fist of gratia. You can do up to 4 hits in a heavy L2 combo - this will stun-lock a merciless watcher to death if you have the endurance for it.

The transition attacks look awesome but they are way too slow to ever be practical, and the 2-handed R1 combo is pretty shitty, honestly. But the things like the jump attacks, running attacks and L2s have the reach of a long weapon like the pick or the scythe (for tall enemies like amygdala), and can do more damage than either of those weapons - even the pick with 32% thrust gems. The 2-handed R2 / charged R2 is fantastic; it almost has the range of the rifle spear's charged R2, and does like 2x the damage. One handed is pretty good, but not nearly as good as the saws with their heavy-damage transition attacks.

Both weapons (the saws and LHB) are top tier for PVE. Also, not all enemies are beasts so serration is definitely good but its not a deal breaker. I'd say that, at the most, 40% of enemies are beasts.
They both look and handle like you'd expect anime weapons to. The saws just have the problem where you've got 2 weapons that look very similar

Ludwig's holy blade has stellar A arcane scaling with helps compensating for less speed (on both forms) while still mantaining an amazing moveset on either forms. If you make saw weapons arcane you are completely defeating their point, wich is to have a high DPS. They are supposed to be quality weapons and quality weapons only.
Granted, saw weapons don't actually suck on arcane, they are just underwhelming on comparison to Ludwig's, wich is a weapon that is already supposed to be made arcane to begin with.
Arcane builds shouldn't really care for dps anyway. It's all about the spells, of course.

Serrated and holy are bonuses, not damage types. Weapons stop doing physical, blunt or thrust when you convert them, but they keep the bonuses.

It's why you're recommended to use serrated weapons when converting to fire, but not thrust weapons to bolt.

It's R1 spam is second to none. If you have high stamina (I went to 25 on my SKL build) and an enemy has no poise thier fate is sealed after you hit them once. I got 3500 damage combos by hitting Ludwig's broken legs after I staggered him.

The rolling R1 is also fantastic. Thrust, quick and a 1.4x Modifer.

Untricked Charge R2 is also the fastest backstab in the game apart from Augur.

It's Litterally useless in PVP though. If you opponent pulls out a wooden shield you might as well just give up.

Saw Spear has not only the best DPS in the game, especialy with BBP, but is also one of the most recommended weapons for arcane builds, hell any build, until they get the weapons they actually want. It has damage, speed, range, serration, thrust, good scaling in Strenght, Skill, Arcane, is simple to use, don't require special builds or farming, stunlocks everything and can be used in almost every situation. It's only fault is that the game becomes boring as fuck because you use two buttons and everything dies without a chalenge. It's broken.
My favorite weapon is Beast Embrace Claws by the way.

Untricked with Blunt gems will hit real hard, but it's kinda boring. You can still use tricked mode with Flat Arc gems for multi-hits, Flat Wheel is pretty good for Vit-gouge so you don't really have to invest past base requirements for it to do well.

Bolt gems are best. I got lucky enough once for an Abyssal Waning (don't even remember the Bolt effect, but was great) in a Loran dungeon from Amygdala. You'll have plenty of time to get gems to work your way up to the Hamlet. You should also find some good Bolt gems in Yahar'gul part 2, if I remember correctly. The Tonitrus should do a decent job of carrying you since Bolt resistance isn't all too common. However, the slow swing time on the Tonitrus may hurt you, so bring a good all-round weapon to back it up.
A little off topic, but in the Dungeons, you can skip most of the Hintertombs. Go there to fight the Forgotten Madman, but don't spend too much time there.

Guidance 3 is hidden somewhere in the actual DLC / hunter's nightmare tombstone - just like Moon 3 was hidden in the main game. There is no DLC items or content found anywhere within chalice dungeons whatsoever, with the sole exception of bath merchants selling lost and uncanny versions of the DLC weapons (so you could at least get them *somewhere*). For example, new types of blood gems from the DLC - such as Lethal gems - cannot be found as cursed gems because there is not a single enemy in the chalice dungeons that is capable of dropping them. Guidance is a DLC rune. It's not gonna be in the dungeons, if it even exists

She is directly to the left after you walk out away from the lantern on layer 1. Her back is almost to the wall but if you stick to the side of the wall yourself you can somehow backstab her and visceral her. She'll survive but it should only take 2-3 hits to finish her off. Then just bold hunters mark and repeat.

So far I have been pretty unlucky, where 7/10 of them would have ATK DOWN or HP drain curses, and only like 1 out of 10 would actually be +23.1% -- and only 1 out of 30 would actually be an arcane gem

...but its just bad luck. Yesterday I got like 5 arcane radials off her in like 20 minutes of farming her. And she seems to drop at least some kind of gem 90% of the time (usually tempering, but literally every possible kind of radial). I've also gotten some bizarre offshape circle gems from her, and a few waning versions of her normal gems

the weapons stats say it doesn't have good rally (only 80; hunters axe has 125 rally), but I believe you guys since I've heard BB is god tier rally before. There appear to be different rally-modifiers on each move in the moveset, just like there are different damage modifiers based on the moves
