I wouldn't even go so far as to call those people shitters, many covenant rewards kind of suck and FROM made the drops too rare. I liked that in DS2 you could just buy everything in NG+2, in DS3 I have to sit around and play Pokemon while to be summoned into the world of a suicidal host who doesn't understand that aggroing every enemy in the area is dumb as hell when there's an invader present.

I mean FFS, I've gotten most of my vertebra shackles during genuine efforts to help people because hosts with any form of backup seem to lose all common sense. I've had hosts run into situations where I, a PvEfag counter-twink with late game gear, couldn't save them. I'd imagine it's a straight up nightmare to legitimately get 30 ears whether by farming or summons.

Health regen sucks after a certain point, it's probably not worth going for if you're not a low level. If you are a low level then the blessed broadsword isn't bad but Anri's SS is really the way to go even if you don't have much luck since it heals at the same rate as a +10 blessed weapon.

In DeS they did it because heavy weapons cost a fuckton for a single swing. In DaS they only did it for the extra equip load. In 2 they did it because SM butchered builds and you could easily hit SL 200 while staying in the 3-4mil SM range and there's nowhere else to put your stats at that level. In BB very few people even went over 15 END.

Fromsoft even tried their best to make softcapping stamina less important by having such retardedly cheap roll costs and changing equip load to VIT but shitters still needed way more stamina than they'd ever use.

The early vig levels are absurdly strong to the point where you're basically forced to go to 27 if you don't want to be fucked, even if you aren't even SL 27. The meta needs to be high enough for offense to stop being inferior to vigor.

26 end is the first level that gives you 3 points instead of 2
20 end is the bare minimum before your stuff really starts getting fucked; it's directly between the first 3 point level and the last 1 point level

with favor +2, 37 end is a good place to stop yourself at. It gives 4 points while the 38th gives 2 due to how the ring affects the rounding.

Is there some kind of list with weapon rating in PvP/PvE in DS 3? Cause with quality build I just can't decide what weapon to pick. Used Uchigatana for most of time and in PvP anybody with longer range weapon, who can parry or with greatsword/ultra fucks me so easily. In PvE it's also shit due long attack animation and stamina consumption.

Washing pole is pretty much inarguable the best standalone weapon in the game for pvp, its worst matchup is any decent onehandable weapon with a black knight shield, but it still fares pretty well even then. Offhanded crossbows also affect what's good and what isn't, and pretty much render anything bigger than a greatsword useless.

What does that have to do with my post? SM tiers still correspond to SL, which is the overwhelming majority of what your souls are spent on.

Your possible matchup SM range is always less than +/- 10% of your SL, with the upper limit slowly increasing if you don't use all your souls too level up.

Pre-agape you were basically forced to inflate you soul memory if you dueled, and if you died in a duel without recovering you'd be stuck with a fatter SM and no levels to show for it. Post-agape noone used it anyway because basically noone cared about the game and those who did refused to sacrifice the ring slot or were already too far gone on most their builds to actually worry about it.

It was a pretty shitty system, if you had a bunch of half upgraded weapons you'd be thrown against people who upgraded one weapon completely as though you were somehow on-par with eachother.

I used to suck at parrying and thought the same way, until I started thinking about parrying as an attack/read rather than as a timing thing.

Instead of trying to get the timing 'right' I just throw out the parry before I think / see the opponent attacking. I don't look for tells, I don't watch animations, I just do a blind prediction as if I was trying to trade damage with the other person or use poise.

If you try to get the 'window' timing perfect you'll fuck up more by being too early/too late than if you stop trying and just start throwing the parry out as a hard read.
