Bit of a long shot question, but anyone know where to farm B+ type blood in Mary Skelter postgame? Only place I can find is lower tower, which is bad because enemies there give almost no EXP. Would prefer to farm xp/blood simultaneously.

Tried 2ch archives but most of them were complaining about A type, not B+

6k yen each. Kinda expensive, but they're like twice as large as the standard shop bonus B2 tapestries (these ones are slightly larger than B1), and the material is thicker and is just better made overall.

A handful of Death Mark pics and an interview.

Part of it:
>For business' sake, want to try new genres and possibly turn them into one of the pillars.
>Also trying to find new fans.
>Chose horror since CEO+director like it.
>Originally not a horror game but some kind of RPG so that core users are more likely to enjoy it.
>They felt that it's harder for RPGs to be scary if it involves defeating the monsters, so they changed it to the current form.

>Death Mark is 2D, like the older adventure games, but with a small system attached.
>They want it to be scary, though there are some discussion as to what kind and how to execute it.
>Although there are scenarios, it's more of an exploration type of game.
>i.e. going around searching for clues and information to solve the current problem, as well as some thinking to handle situations.

That's because it's true, story is bad and the gameplay was buggy, ps4 ruined ateliers, instead of focusing on good characters and good gameplay they focused on visuals and now the games look like shit and play like shit. Worst of both worlds.

Atelier died when they went 3d for the story scenes. At least the fixed the crashes. I don't think I crashed even once on Sophie.

Watched all the story scenes on youtube, and read the reviews of the gameplay. To be fair this was near launch I have no idea if they fixed the gameplay which was soo buggy. The story is pretty bad particularity how Sophie was kinda just jammed into the story, when she is an irrelevant character even in her own story, Prafta is the real hero.

>thinking arland was ever not casual with relatively one-dimensional alchemy and completely one-dimensional three-member combat

You can keep liking the game if you want, they are still really bad -compared- to Arland and even Dusk is better.

>Arland and Dusk have better characters
Rorona/Totori > Sophie/Firis

>better gameplay
Time limits keep the game from becoming a grind fest, Alchemy costing time and Mana actually mattered, more endings and ways to get stuck on a bad end

>better music

Areas ranging from plains to the ruin of ancient civilizations

>More at stake in the story.
Beloved Atelier being closed down due to government regulations, need to get my ass in gear or I'll get shut down by an oppressive anti small business government

Going to become an adventurer to find my long lost mother, need to get my ass in gear or she will fucking die!

I just use either a matte or oleophobic screen protector. You can get grips I guess, but they just feel worse to me. I have a metal shell if I ever need to just toss it into a bag or something, but I typically just let it be naked.

Maybe get one of those pisen usb adapters so you can charge from more devices (e.g. generic wall chargers).
>>
>>165665290
>they are still really bad -compared- to Arland and even Dusk is better.
How are they bad compared to Arland? They're objectively better in every way.
I could see the argument for certain dusk games with intuitive alchemy, combat, and even atmosphere in ayesha's case, but arland? That's just nostalgia bullshit.

I never mentioned music you insecure twat. I'll agree that Sophie's ost was totally forgettable save for Liela Xea, but you've already gone and done some cherry picking of your own so it might as well be just as good.

>>better visuals and character design, and artistic direction
Literally subjective for the most part. I'd agree with Dusk's art with landscapes and the like being far superior but again, Arland has jack shit to offer. Even more one dimensional characters and areas with dated assets and uninspired inconsistent artistic direction.

>>More at stake in the story.
Holy shit you're dense, the entire well-being of the world was at stake in Sophie, did you even pay attention?

Nothing ever felt in important in Sophie. It was a huge slog with no real motivation, even story wise for all the time I put into it until dropping it. Maybe the story picked up dozens and dozens of hours in, but I am not going to play a game that is a snooze-fest for 40 hours to only get good in the final act.

NoA, let you know shit was going bad right from the start, just for comparisson.
>>
>>165660996
Does anyone but a couple reddit posters actually have and play all those Vita games?
>>
>>165666537
Sorry but when I see people compare Mystery to good atelier games it makes me angry because i had SUCH HIGH expectations for the games. Instead what I got was happy go lucky nothing ever goes wrong causal games. To be fair that started in Dusk, where if you don't save Nio, Keith just Deus Ex Machina saves her. It got progresively worse, to the point where Mystery has nothing driving you forward.

Part of the greatness of Arland was the very sad and emotional bad ends, it MADE you want to see the good end. It MADE you want to get better.

>Expect all the ways I listed?
>Expect
That aside, how about all of the reasons I listed? The combat, alchemy, graphics, and characters being overall improved?

>Because it's shit in Sophie
I literally agree overall, but you're only cherry picking the best examples to compare to the worst

>>cherry picking
>Sorry those games have amazing tracks?
Most of those games had, what, one or two amazing tracks? Ayesha I can understand but Totori? That's rich.

>Sophie's characters are over designed man, and the artistic direction is split and conflicts hard.
I can understand the conflicting artstyles but overdesigned? It's not like Arland didn't have the same kind of overdesign when it comes to characters, look at this shit.
>b-but the characters have actual development instead of being one-dimensional anime gimmick characters that means they're overdesigned right?

And nice to see you're admitting you never payed attention to sophie's overall plot and "more at stake". Of course there's no gameplay ramifications to failing because time-based restrictions were retarded and archaic, but failing story-wise would be catastrophic.

>>165666902
Your expectations are unattainable because you're blinded by nostalgia and unwilling to accept anything objectively, and can only manifest your criticisms in "but it's not edgy so it must be bad :(("
To add, the time limtied endings in arland-dusk in particular are archaic and tedious for the sake of actually finishing the fucking game.

People like different things. You're both arguing your subjective opinions so you'll never convince the other that you're right.
I liked the Dusk games the most, and the Arland games the least though I still liked them all. I don't go around saying that series of them is bad since I happened to like it the least because people enjoy different things about them, and forcing my opinions on others won't change anything. It's okay that others think differently.
>>
>>165667476
No, I don't actually care if games get ported. If it gets more money to devs to make more games, good for them. I just enjoy playing games on my vita, man.
>>
>>165667476
To be honest, I haven't really cared about Disgaea since 2. The newer mains were all just memes. 4 had potential but the sardine thing killed it. I have played 5 because 3 and 4 killed my interest in the series so I can't tell if it is a meme-fest too or not.

>The combat is more flashy but it's not in any way deeper, E&L has better combat.
E&L boils down to the same cookie cutter combination of support attacks during an attack, those of which barely even matter in the first place because double draw is where literally 90% of all your damage comes from. It's not deep nor does it have any amount of situational planning or strategy that mystery does.

The elemental system in mystery is pretty gimmicky and gets old I'll give you that much, but it's a lot more in-depth and interesting than power pour to win dusk or literally-one-dimensional-nothing-to-it arland
>Dusk relied too much on hidden items, but once you know where they are you can get ultimate gear in no time.
Same thing happened in Arland with the broken as shit soul properties. And Ayesha didn't particularly have broken properties to begin with and relied on conventional property planning, which was exceptionally difficult because of the convoluted property transferring system. Sophie sort of featured this sort of thing with the loads of required property combining, but a lot more simply than Ayesha.

>I felt Sophie's alchemy was too time gated
If you mean the actual progression of the system throughout the game I can agree, not being able to transfer more than one property until a certain point was a hindrance. But it's not like the same problem didn't persist in pretty much every atelier game, especially in Dusk.

Nostalgia faggot

>The combat, alchemy, graphics, and characters being overall improved?
The combat is more flashy but it's not in any way deeper, E&L has better combat.

I felt the alchemy was fun at first but then when I understood how it worked it was actually overly simply. I felt Dusk's Alchemy system was better, and Arland had the better ways to find effects and traits, Dusk relied too much on hidden items, but once you know where they are you can get ultimate gear in no time.

I felt Sophie's alchemy was too time gated as well, it was fun, but I think it was only fun to find out how the alchemy worked but once you figure it out it's kinda simple.

>>165667441
>Most of those games had, what, one or two amazing tracks? Ayesha I can understand but Totori? That's rich.
I disagree, I think Shallie/Meruru had a VERY rich ost, Shallie is the ost I use in Sophie now after my first play through.

>I can understand the conflicting artstyles but overdesigned? It's not like Arland didn't have the same kind of overdesign when it comes to characters, look at this shit.

Sorry but if you look at Prafta, Julio, Monica and Leon, they just look retarded side by side to Sophie, Oskar, and Elise (who actually look like they wear what their occupations call for.) Again comes down to conflicting art styles, when one character dress like classic Sophie then you get something like Monica and the weird shit she has on her arm, it makes it feel like the characters should be in difference games.

>>165667441
>Of course there's no gameplay ramifications to failing because time-based restrictions were retarded and archaic, but failing story-wise would be catastrophic.

That is my point. There should be ramifications, Atelier have always had bad ends. The world does not have to end, you can just have Prafta sacrifice herself for something. If there are no ramifications for being bad then their is nothing at stake. Where as if you dick around in Totori, Totori's mom fucking dies.

I only played Kuroi Hitomi no Noire (Noir Yeux Noire -Cielgris Fantasm-) when it came out on PS1. It's a little like Atelier except you swap alchemy with monster capturing/raising (which forms your battle party).

It's still quite playable now though. Time limit, save childhood friend / world, open world, multiple endings, capturing monsters, part time mini-games for the cash etc.

If it got a remake I think it'll still hold its own even now (was from 1999), though it probably needs a buff on character events.

Also on PSN.

Think I posted something similar back in 2013 or 2014.

Late to the party, but
>The combat is more flashy but it's not in any way deeper, E&L has better combat.
It's the opposite, E&L is the flashier but it's not in any way deeper. Sophie has deeper gameplay than E&L because in E&L it's sooo freaking easy to break things and kill anything easily.

Dusk's alchemy is simple af, I never had to think a lot even when making ultimate gears in E&L, Shallie's was just a joke, and Ayesha's was just bad in general, which is why the later Dusk games have nothing in similar to Ayesha's.

Sophie still requires you to think really hard to prepare stuff if you're aiming for 999 everything.

Also, Firis literally blows any previous Atelier out of the water as far as the combat and alchemy goes.

>I disagree, I think Shallie/Meruru had a VERY rich ost, Shallie is the ost I use in Sophie now after my first play through.
Shallie I agree, but Meruru really isn't, outside of the battle songs and Hagel's song I don't remember anything else. Sophie at least has more varied battle songs, and some decent ones like the bar song, Corneria's song, and the day map song.

Again, Firis blows them out of the water, even most of the area songs are really good.

>There should be ramifications, Atelier have always had bad ends

Dude you didn't make ultimate gear in your first run without a guide, fuck off. No it isn't hard, but materials you need for ultimate gear are EASILY missable or easy to fuck yourself by wasting the traits on your first run. While in Sophie it's almost impossible not to get ultimate gear.
>>
If there was an alternative reality where Ruka was a girl, I wouldn't hesitate to impregnate her girl pussy.

Cute and gentle timid girls are the best.
>>
If you can't read, I was saying that in the context of the alchemy, not about the materials gathering. And even you yourself were replying in context of alchemy, then you suddenly switched to material gathering.

And yeah I didn't use a guide for looking for the traits, though be honest I did had a friend tell me about how to get the ultimate traits, but that's all, making the item itself doesn't need a guide.

But anyway if that's your standard for difficult, then Sophie's materials for actual ultimate gears is harder to obtain because the best DLC traits are a pain to gather.

Don't worry Anon. I started reading the first Utawarerumono mostly because of that ESRB rating indicating that it would be localized. And it has been consuming all my free time now. All of this just because there was a rating made for it. Though that said I've been enjoying the story very much.

I've always wondered why so many depressed people tend to gather here in /vitagen/. I'm one myself, too. If you still have good relations with your relatives, try to keep at least those. It really sucks when there's nothing for you offline or outside video games. You don't want that.
>How do I so the revival thing in Shiren 5?
Other people have to rescue you now. I'm still not sure if the rescues in the story dungeon are limited to ad-hoc, or can they be done online. There are a few people here who have played Shiten a whole lot, so they might be able to help you.

Whether or not you like Sophie vs Arland really comes down to what you think of in terms of game design philosophy.

If you like power fantasy like Skyrim, chances are you will like Sophie, they are more alike than you think. In Skyrim the idea is to NEVER punish the player for making mistakes or not knowing how to play the game. You ALWAYS get stronger no matter what you do, and even if you die or fail the punishment is very light, and no matter what you do you will eventually reach a good and satisfying end with and "end game" that focus around you getting stronger and beating up stronger enemies. No matter how you play, you will eventually be able to beat every monster in the game.

Arland on the other hand is in the EXACT opposite end of the design philosophy. They punish you for not knowing the game, and the game definitively ends at a certain point. In many ways the game is like a Souls game. Souls game punish you until you understand all the mechanics at play, so that when you finally overcome an obstacle it's all the more rewarding. In Souls and Arland you can fuck up big time, get ends you didn't want, or gimp your character by not understanding the system. Also there is a set point where the game ends, which is very important in game design. Arland games end after x number of years then you have to start again from the beginning, this makes it so that you CAN'T grind your way to beating all the end game content, if you are not good, you won't even see that content. Souls ends once you have no more bosses to kill, this reset is important! This is important because forcing people to start a new game shows them how much better they have gotten and shows them how all their hard work has paid off. Not because they get to keep all the levels and gear they earned but because of the skills they acquired.

Both are equally good, Skyrim and Souls are good games same as Arland and Sophie but different people have different taste.

Generally I agree, except
>No matter how you play, you will eventually be able to beat every monster in the game
Not really, the post game non-DLC bosses on anything above normal require pretty good equipment and items which requires you to at least know how to make those properly.

The DLC bosses are even more difficult.

Also this
>Not because they get to keep all the levels and gear they earned but because of the skills they acquired
Assuming people already know how the new game+ works, most of the time people just end up blindly going through first playthrough randomly while making equipment as good as they can so they can do things much more easily and much more faster in the next playthrough. Which, in a way, is kinda like a power fantasy desu.

You could check out Soul Sacrifice Delta. You'll almost certainly like the atmosphere and story. I personally didn't enjoy the gameplay, but a lot of people around here disagree with me so you'll probably like that too.

Maybe Stranger of Sword City, if you're a fan of DRPGs? It's got fantastic art, and a single wrong move by you can have one of your characters in the hospital for weeks. But due to that, it might not be so good for people who are new to DRPGs.

Sometimes. I accidently went into NG+ on Bloodborne before doing the DLC, which was a big mistake.

>>165680172
The only darkish Vita game that comes to mind is Sword of Stranger City. I haven't played it, but from what I've seen it looks dark compared to other Vita DRPGs. You might also want to consider Darkest Dungeon, that's another slip up and die game.
>>
>>165680145
For Rorona and Totori, it's just near impossible to beat the game in first run without a guide considering the amount of missable events. Also Meruru requires new game+ no matter what.
>>
>>165674981
>>165678545
>>165679782
Wanderer "Aid" is for the mainline story dungeon and is limited to local connections. As in someone visits you, starts up shiren, and sends over a revival herb or something. You receive it from the main menu I think.

Wanderer "Rescue" is for the other dungeons and you can get help online. Someone takes your rescue request, goes through an identical dungeon up to the floor you died on (the final floor having a monster house), and interacts with a sprite of a dead shiren to revive you. Once this happens and they send the results up to the server, you can receive the "rescue spell" from the main menu.
>>
>>165680541
>For Rorona and Totori, it's just near impossible to beat the game in first run without a guide considering the amount of missable events.

That's called good game design, get good.
>>
>>165680262
>>165680330
Worth a shot I guess. I think I have the game already because I got it on a flash sale for a few bucks way back when. I didn't like the first Soul Sacrifice too much, simply because I'm turned off by games that give you AI companions that do half of the work for you. (I realize DoD3 and Nier have mandatory companions too, but they don't do shit).

As for SoSC, I'm into hardcore DRPGs, especially oldschool stuff from the 80s that hates you. I'll look into it, thanks.

>>165680539
>Darkest Dungeon
This game I think is just boring though. I think I'm a bit too used to old-school ascii roguelikes and stuff to really acknowledge it. It felt like a smartphone game to me.

This just reminded me how much I'd love to see Baroque on the vita, though.

>>
>>165680541
I'm new to Atelier and am a few months into Rorona - by 'impossible to beat the game' do you mean that there's like a 'true' ending that I won't be able to get without a guide? Will I have to replay the whole game to get it?
>>
>>165680916
Something like that. Rorona has a few missable events that you probably won't know unless you use a guide or you're just really lucky that you somehow prioritized all those with the deadlines at the right moment.

If you're like me, don't want to play two playthroughs but don't want to follow I guide, I would recommend to consult a guide but just take note of the deadlines for missable events, then play on your own without following the steps on the guide.
>>
>>165680541
>For Rorona and Totori, it's just near impossible to beat the game in first run without a guide considering the amount of missable events.

Again, if you like power fantasy, where the game waits for you and the whole game is curated so that you never miss anything, then that is for you.

Not everyone like their hands being held. You can't see all the content in a single run of a souls game, hell you can't do it in two in some games. Does that mean it's bad? No, replayablity is an asset, not a liability.

Do you think Baldur's Gate 2 is bad because it has soo many events you can miss?

I disagree about better alchemy, and the better combat is overshadowed by Totori having a basket system that actually matters, and having some of the best time management for the series (which is what makes Atelier unique).

To me, the point of the Atelier series is the combination of time management and alchemy. Marie and Ellie, and then the Arland series are the best of the series for me.

I won't disagree with that as that's what I think as well, but I won't let that cloud my judgement of the game as a single game.

>I disagree about better alchemy
As I said, it's arguable. I personally like it because it takes a whole new approach and it's not as braindead as Shallie's or E&L's. Arland's was nice, but after 3 games having more or less the same system it gets kinda boring, like, you play one, you only need to adjust a little bit to master the others.

And before you ask, Firis's look really similar to Sophie's, but the difference is larger compared to the difference between Arland titles.

>the better combat is overshadowed
I only mention the combat, the combat is better, hands down. Whether it's overshadowed by other aspects you find more important is another matter entirely.

Combat is "arguably better" so is the Alchemy. Everything else is a step down from Dusk, which is a side step from Arland. Dusk had the best setting and mood/atmosphere.

Nah, I don't like to be handheld. I just don't like wasting time on unnecessary things like going back to all the previous places just to check if anything's there, or replaying things over and over again to check if I missed anything. Which, if I don't use a guide, I wouldn't have known what I've missed at all in the first place!

I mean, it's fine if you like doing repetitive things like that, some people do like going back and forth over and over again or replaying the same thing over and over again. It's fine, no big deal.

No, I prefer to use my skill instead of tediousness. Take my example of Tales, it's not at the level of "going into every room in a dungeon", it requires one to check for literally every place each time a key scene happens, otherwise they'd become missable. That's tediousness.

And if you fail at reading like two others have done before to me in just a few hours, I never said I deserve to get everything. I prefer to HAVE everything, but I want it to be skill based instead of tedious, menial tasks.

So in your ideal game every item and scene should be locked behind an easily found unskipable boss? Sounds boring. Having soo many secrets you are bound to bump into some is a much better system. Sounds like you are just kind of ocd about getting everything. I would rather explore and lose myself in a world searching for hidden items and treasures.

You seem to have comprehension problems. I don't mind having to explore everything as I go. What I hate is missable that is not clear where and when to get. Go back to my previous Tales example again, having missables that only appears in previous areas you've visited once you're already rather far and will expire after certain events is a really bad system. You need to retrace every place each time a key scene appears in hopes you find something that wasn't previously there. It's definitely not a good system. People just end up going without them at all, or consult guides.

Another example is Arland's missable events. Due to time limit, it's just not possible to check everything before a certain time to ensure you've triggered all before their deadlines. You need to be lucky to bump into them, or read a guide to know which one has deadlines, or play again and again in hopes you got lucky and eventually bump into all of them. Which is tedious as fuck, annoying, and not good in the slighest. It's worse here because unlike Tales where they're mostly some extras that I can go without, in Atelier it's related to the true end, how the game actually ends, which would in turn be referred to in the next entry. Disgaea, for example, does this much better. You get the true end by playing normally, but you can get alternate ends by fulfilling some obscure requirements. That means the actual important one can be gotten without having to resort to luck or consulting a guide, but you can see alternate ones as an extra if you're lucky or if you use a guide.

Anyway if you like going back and forth or replaying the same game over and over in hopes you get lucky and find some missable, more power to you.

>>165690493

>>
>>165691036
And to prevent further misinterpretation from you since you're bound to misinterpret anything I say, no, I don't mind missable that isn't clear where to get. I don't mind missable that isn't clear when to get. But I hate missables that isn't clear where AND when to get.

What you described is good game design for an RPG, because it makes the game feel like you are in a real world and that the game world does not revolve around you. I actually like role playing in my RPGs. The characters actions are my actions and I want the story to change because of my actions.

Again it's the difference between a power fantasy, where the game revolves around you the player, or immersion games where the world does not wait for you.

Both are valid, immersion is more important for RPGs in my opinion.

You like the kind of game that tells you the world is going to end, but then waits for you to show up to the final battle.

Also Disgaea is a prime example of curated games, nothing happens without you picking from a menu.

Assumptions, assumptions. That's all you can do from this argument so far.

>good game design for an RPG, because it makes the game feel like you are in a real world and that the game world does not revolve around you
If story content is locked beyond you being lucky, then it's shit game design. It might work for open world WRPGs where it's build your own story, but for JRPGs where the story is more linear, no it's just shit.

>immersion games where the world does not wait for you
You seem to have peculiar definition of immersion.

>tells you the world is going to end, but then waits for you to show up to the final battle
Read my other post. I don't mind if the game tells me the world is going to end but doesn't wait for me. I don't mind if the game doesn't tell me the world is going to end, but waits for me. I do hate when games don't tell me AND don't wait. That's content locked on being lucky (or seeing guides), and that's just shit design. Anything crucial that relies on luck is shit. I think you're just deliberately misinterpreting what I'm saying because you already have this assumption about me, in which case, I'll just cut it at this, because it's obvious you're just going to make further assumptions and misinterpret what I say again.

No problem. I knew you were having a problem since you kept misclicking and I only do that when I'm trying to use my Vita TV.

>I don't know what happened to our game, Me and that Wizard sort of split off into our own game, and Jennifer and Milky seems to have split to theirs.
I try to worry more about positioning for my spells and magic to try and do the most damage I can than anything else. Also I try to run off to a corner to eat to make sure I heal my skeletons before they die. I thought us splitting up like that seemed to work pretty well though.

>>165693385
For just one other person it's no problem at all. Since I'm the host I didn't really have any connection problems, except when the Dwarf disconnected right when the cooking started.
I usually fill in and cook for any of you guys that disconnect when we're cooking so you at least get some bonus if you decide to come back.
I played most of the game by myself and with NPCs so I'm used to cooking for multiple people already.

Let me tell you a little story anons.

>usually go to cons alone
>it's okay I guess but a little lonely sometimes
>casually mention I'm going MAGfest to /vitagen/
>someone says they're going too
>says we should hang out and play Freedom Wars together or something
>usually not a fan of meeting up with anyone from 4chan for fear of them being a memeing sperg
>fuck it he seems normal enough
>finally meet up with him
>he goes in and gives me a hug
>we sit down the hallway and get a game of Freedom Wars going
>you know you're kinda cute anon-kun
>wat
>you wanna cuddle while we play?
>think he's just joking because of all the /homogen/ homoposting meme
>laugh it off and say sure why not
>he tells me to sit with my back to his chest
>he wraps his arms around my waist and plays by looking over my shoulder
>laugh nervously thinking he'll tell me to get off in like a minute
>we stay like that for half an hour
>it could be worse I guess-
>suddenly start feeling something wet against my ear
>he starts nibbling on my ear and licking it all over
>scream really loud and stand up
>walk away without say a word

And that was the day I learned /vitagen/'s homoposting was not a meme.

Around these lower LoC levels I prefer the Trailblazer's boon for faster level ups.
Later on the Blessing that gives higher quality Spoils can also be useful.

What's the LoC level you reached?

I also have a Dwarf I can play with you there. But I might have to rebuild him.

>>165697428
Yes, I know. My advice isn't 'fuck anybody that you cuddle with,' my advice is 'be careful of who you cuddle with because after 20 it seems that everybody you cuddle with expects that you are going to fuck, and best case scenario you will wind up getting an unwanted kiss.'

>>
>>165697765
memethemes, fucker
>>
>>165697561
Nice. My Dwarf is a Grand Smash build, so he doesn't use consumables a lot.

Looks like that's the skill he had been missing all along.
I always compared the Dwarf's combo to the Fighters, and saw the Dwarf as disadvantaged, because the fighter's has larger hit-area in all three dimensions and from behind, and his attack doesn't use much duration at all compared to Dwarf's.

But it's sort of compensates that if Dwarf can regenerate equipment with the golds and metals he finds. And then it also fits into the lore about Dwarfs being gold/riches hoarders.
>>
>>165698215
Yeah Dwarves cap out in terms of dps early, they're decent as crowd control because the chucking lets you group up enemies but that loses utility when elites become more common in infernal and ultimate.

>>
>>165698702

>>
>>165698572

It's because the Skills Calculator website never mentioned that the skill could heal weapons durability.
It only said it healed HP, so that's why I avoided it.

I think it's pretty fun. There's lots of skills to use and the weapons are neat to try out. I'm not sure it would give you the feeling you're looking for though if you were really REALLY into MMOs. It's like a really "take it easy" kind of MMO feel, like you could probably give it little thought and still get away with a retarded build. Aesthetics aren't all that great since, but definitely remind me of an MMO since they're essentially 4 or 5 different pieces of armor or weapons with different pallets.

What exactly are you looking for?

I sort of need a break. And I'm also just Rin in FW

By the way I can highly recommend you to progress in the single player story in Kiwami.
That's the way you will be able to unlock higher level Mitama skills than just level 3.
Once you get the really strong Mitama, your character will be so much stronger thans to the skills you get from upgrading.

Also I imagine you might have some space issues with your inventory. Progressing the story and unlocking the Blacksmith's quests will fix that.

Also try out more weapon types like Dual Dagger, it's like mountain climbing, it's really easy, speedy and fun when you get used to it.
>>
>>165730153
Listen to this >>165730479

Try to get max mitamas and bigger inventory ASAP ... once you max out a mitama you can freely choose between all the skills it has and really have fun making builds

And without doing the blacksmith quests and upgrading your inventory you will have to start deleting material drops to make room

I can also highly recommend everyone to use Sickle&Chain ones you have really strong Mitamas that boosts stamina.

It's sort of funny, back in Vanilla Toukiden, I knew at least 2-3 vitagenners who mained in this weapon, and back then I thought it was too hard for me.

But now it's like the easiest weapon in the game in my opinion because I have Mitama that lets me fly constantly. But the situation has reversed, nobody else in Vitagen is using Sickle&Chain now, unlike in Vanilla.

It's just a good idea to try other weapons, it makes the game more dynamic, and you get to know what the weapons were weak at, and what they are good at, and knowing this, you'll be able to help the other players even more by taking care of things that are hard for them with their styles.

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
>>
>>165730905
But I have it on PS4. What a mistake.
My Vita copy is arriving soon.
>>
>>165732003
I'm sure it's a good game, but I think it's a bit too much adventure and not enough pew pew for what I'm looking for.

>Killzone mercenary
I've always been curious about this one, but never got around to playing it. What kind of shooting game is it? I just assumed it was cover shooting (my least favorite thing on earth), being a modern FPS and all. But if it's more arcadey and fast-paced I'd definitely be interested.
You know, I actually kinda wish Bullet Witch was on the vita. That game was fun as fuck.Just any third person shooting game that only lasts an hour or two, and doesn't give a shit about anything except for stuff to blow up.
>>
>>165732267
You ain't got a laptop/tablet/phone anon?
>>
>>165732389
It's easier to just hold a vita than it is to balance a laptop or prop up a smartphone while holding a DS4.
>>
>>165732332
>fast-paced
>Killzone

Mercenary is more fast paced than the console versions but overall Killzone is not a very fast paced shooter. You should play it anyways because it is top tier AAA gaming on Vita which is incredibly rare.

EDF sounds more your style

The Knives and Sickle/Chain are pretty good opposites to the Rifle, because they are super mobile, while the Rifle is more stationary during its strongest attacks. So I would recommend those.

I need to get better at Sword and spear myself.
I have barely even touched the spear weapon in Kiwami.
>>
>>165733356
I never used another weapon after I got a rifle

And one year ago, Escha&Logy was almost released on western regions. Now that Shallie+ is soon releasing, that probably marks the end for January releases for Vita Ateliers.

Vitagen, most developers aren't even interested in making good dungeons anymore

What Vita games show how fun a greatly designed non-randomly generated dungeon can be?
