I actually had a game yesterday where I was saboing a hook and a moyers came up to it to hook the survivor. While I was still saboing he frozen there in place for few seconds. When it finally skipped forward and hooked the person, I was still mid-sabo'ing and was wondering what would happen if I were to finish the sabo with a person on the hook, but had to flee from there.

How do the community and bugs affect the experience of the average player? Is the core gameplay enough to keep someone playing, or do the problems of the game just destroy any semblance of fun?

I've done that, when it happened the model for the survivor was floating, diagonally, like the item glitch. Static, but moved with the killers arm. It was funny to see them flopping around. 'Not sure if they were stuck like that, or it counted as wiggling free.

I killed my first glowing Claudette today. She ran from pallet to pallet slowly self-healing each time but eventually I got her with a really, REALLY bullshit lunge at a vaultable and somehow hit her despite her being well over it by the time I swung and I couldn't even see her in my screen. She must have been pretty mad, though she did have 17k points somehow. I wish I knew how to get so many points as a survivor without escaping, maybe she was the sole survivor that ever rescued anybody I hooked.

That said, the speed decrease is painful as fuck, but with some pre-planning you can get sacs easily with it.

600 hours and I've never seen meg or nea focused, jake gets killed first universally (even the devs posted this statistic during the last livestream)

if you want to not be tunneled/learn the game
here's the list

1) white dwight has a passive effect that makes killers go easy on you, double the chance of proc if you hide in a locker in plain view
2) laurie almost never gets tunneled because the killer assumes she has dstrike (80% chance I figure) so chasing her is a waste of time
3) pizza dwight has a 50% chance of being mori'd or left completely alone all match, depending on how much the killer assumes it's a memer pallet tour guide
4) Bloody Claudette, because she's goddamn invisible when crouching facing a wall combined with pizza dwight's passive, but claudettes are also tunneled and killed for sport in some cultures
5) Full default claudette, above reason

whenever I gift the game to someone I carefully instruct them to play white dwight exclusively, while putting their points into either dwight or claudette

Running away in F13 doesn't leave a big ass "FOLLOW ME" trail and Jason relies on sense to know where survivors are then just following the scratch marks and having a survivor in his FOV. And since counselors are much faster than Jason if a Jason loses track of a counselor he has no hope of finding them unless they light up through sense again, which is why in F13 crouching and managing your fear is so important.

Its an entirely different mechanic to DbD simply because the counselors all run so much faster than Jason can.

I've learned to control heavy amounts of lag and constant teleporting. It all works like one big ass drifting match where steering your characters makes him drift, so if you're going to take a sharp turn you have to account for the drifting to end up where you want to be. Its actually somewhat fun and the entire reason why I have Eurobeat ready to play at any given moment during matches.

I guess it's mostly because my playstyle doesn't really rely on any perks. Ideal matches for me the only perk that comes into play is Urban Evasion. Usually the others don't come into play anyway because I don't get found.
