Why the nips hated DRV3:

Although we here in the west don't know that much yet about Chapter 6 apart from the plot twists and how it's structured, the nips are implying that the meta message that the finale brings is extremely insulting to the Danganronpa series
Basically, the meta message Kohacka is trying to bring over in chapter 6 is "Everything is fictional, don't get overattached to these fictional characters and this franchise because if you like this series you are sick in the head, asshole".
Now I can forgive this message being aimed at the fans, but not at his staff, voice actors and SC as a whole. They all did their best to bring this series and their characters to life and Kohacka seems to be in a severe mid-life crisis or something and decides to fucking hate his own work.
Now correct me if I'm wrong on this, but this seems to be the reason a lot of nip fans stop supporting the series and are refunding their copies.

Also I want to reaffirm that this post is ENTIRELY wrong since the beginning.

Kaede NEVER found out Shirogane's the mastermind. She set a trap for the mastermind because she THOUGHT that ONLY the mastermind knew of the secret room in the library. She never thought that Amami would've went there at that time. She only wanted to kill the mastermind from the get go. That's her mindset.

Basically Kaede set a trap for the mastermind.
Rantarou used the Survival Bonus Manual and wanted to straight confront the mastermind BECAUSE the manual came with a map of the entire compound.
Due to Monochichi giving feeds to Mother Monokuma, Shirogane knew of the trap set by Saihara and Kaede. Rantarou just happened to be there, so Shirogane used the trap to kill him instead.

Seriously though, anons, is the backlash even spreading beyond Amazon and 2ch? Enough of it that would actually warrant a public statement from Kodaka and/or Spike Chunsoft?

Doubt a significant amount of people cancelled their preorders. Right now, everyone's pretty much withholding judgement until they get to play the game for themselves so it's safe to say that it will get a similar amount of purchases as the previous games.

The issue though is that the ending is only really fun and interesting if you accept to play the meta game and put yourself as a viewer instead of a player. While the message is definitely interesting and worth considering, the issue is that we basically expected a mystery ending, with a huge battle with the mastermind. Tbh, Korekiyo felt more like a mastermind confrontation than this did. Shirogane felt (by watching streams) amazingly -even too- easy to pin down as the mastermind in the end, and the meta mindfuckery was interesting, but is just pretty much hilarious now you look back at it. The issue is that it requires you to get too much away from your seat as a player, which is not comfortable. Everyone expected a huge mystery ending with a really strong mastermind confrontation and got pretty much tricked by Shirogane until the very end. Just look at Korekiyo and how much he fought before being taken down. This was kinda what people were expecting, but x1000. Shirogane didn't fight in a mystery way. She fought dirty.. That's the issue. She stated facts about the world, and actually made our protagonists despair by mindfucking them about their identity. The issue about this ending is basically that it took all our expectations about the mastermind after an intense build up through amazing trials and battle of wits (Maki looking like the culprit in case 5 along the Exigal bot mindfuckery, for example), only to have Shirogane being pinned super easily because her alibi made no sense (which is a point that didn't even get considered in the first trial lmao), and then to have her mindfucking with meta.
