For the same reason Pilots vs Pilots is, the game really in my eyes, can't can't stand on it's legs when the footplay, or titan play are removed, it really needs both to shine and 'Feel right' to me. LTS is better than PVP by quite a bit, and I do enjoy it but it's definitely in my eyes a weaker mode, and is only really at it's best on a few maps.

That said I think a middle road could be nice, some customization, but all the customization bits would be locked to that specific class. Or like >>165638071 said just helmets.

But depending on with helmets, some classes look pretty similar to one another (wall and cloak, pulse blade and grapple, where helmets are the main difference between them) so you'd be able to fool people if it was free helmet customization. That said putting a pulse blade helmet on a holo pilot to help get the ruse on would be neat as all hell.

But I agree with the middle ground option, there should be maybe a little more customization such as helmets and armor pieces that are pilot class specific.

Cold War does okay damage, doesn't quite measure up to the consistent output of the SMR or the big hits of the EPG, although it does have the advantage of faster projectiles, so it can be more effective at range, it is serviceable as an AT weapon.

Move to one spot, take some shots and get some kills, and then roll to a new spot. Snipers really don't work for the constant /FAST/ that most people around here try to maintain.

Pair it with a pistol, something like the Mozambique or the Wingman / Wingman E. Use the pistol for when you're fastmode, and pull out your rifle for when you spot some slows down range that need to get dropped.

Thanks for the tips, this is basically what I was doing anyway. Staying in one spot works well because sure, a good player can flush you out but shitty ones using shotguns and SMG's will try in vain to shoot my tower or something, and that's an extremely still and easy to identify target.

Critical hits don't do extra damage.

Projectiles move slow as fuck. There's a good deal of luck/opportunity to get the whole fan to hit a pilot moving perpendicular to you because they literally run sideways into the whole grouping.

At its maximum range, the whole shot can still do 96 damage if it all somehow hits.

And in general, projectiles are iffy as fuck.

I posted those instructions few threads ago which caused some kind anon to buy japanese voices, anyway, you have to paste japanese voice pack into "Titanfall2\r2\sound" and then you have to go into the "Titanfall2\bin\x64_retail" and there you have to open a "tier0.dll" file using Hex editor and search for a "ja_JP" line and edit it to "en_US" or line symbolizing your language version.

The grenades have a bigger explosion radius so near misses are more forgiving than the epg, and you can aim it to see the projected path of the shot which is great for pinging campers from way far away.
