When you download games on freeshop, update it from freeshop as well by clicking on the gamepad icon, then on the games with the green triangle next to them

When I hacked my 3DS a week ago, I was content to just follow directions without really understanding what I was doing.

Now though, I'm interested in learning what all of the different components actually do. I've surmised that FBI is used to install software via .cia files, but that's about it.

Why the fuck can't I create a new directory? In both MolecularShell and VitaShell. I can transfer and delete files, but not create a new folder. I've started over from scratch with both Henkaku and Taihenkaku, but it still won't work. The last thing I want to do is format my memory card.

Roger that. I figured and am hoping I just need to reinstall the games, which I'll take care of later this morning after I finish sorting out the last installs of Luma Updater and whatnot. What messed me up here, was that I didn't move over the proper files to my new micro card the first time around even though I installed these things before I system transferred.

From the previous thread, an update,

I more or less shot myself in the foot. I downloaded the games over and yet it appears my save files haven't returned. What happened was that I system transferred over to my n3DS, didn't see the FBI and Luma icons on the home menu and then I system restored through HourGlass9 while rewriting the /3ds/ and /Nintendo 3DS/ folders on my SD card. So I lost everything on the 3DS. Luckily I have the data, the original /Nintendo 3DS/ and 3ds folders on my on my computer, which I put back on my SD card but I don't know how to get my 3DS to recognize it.

Hmm, depends. I made a similar mistake on my new N3DS - I'd completely forgotten about Thearhythm's and MonHun's ExtData. Thankfully I'd backed up the entire SD card beforehand, but if you just search "extdata" in Windows for it, you'll find it. I'm sure the save data is in there somewhere too - I was able to find my extdata, used JKSM on the old N3DS to export it, then imported it on the new N3DS (the new New 3DS, fucking Nintendo and their crappy names).

To turn off your 3DS, just hold the power button until all lights are off.

Remove the SD.

Once the 3DS is on, go to browser and then browser settings, then initialize save data.

THEN put in the SD card, open browser, and retype the link.

Just double check the steps and keep trying.

The browser part is very luck-based.

Just keep clearing save data (in browser settings) and make sure you keep your SD card out every time you turn on the system or initialize browser save data (as that brings you back to the home menu)

Make sure you don't forget that 7z that has the arm11.bin file.

All of that 7z's files should be on the root.

Also, check if your arm9loaderhax file is the right one.

There's a 20kb one and 70 something kb one.

Find the 70kb one and make sure that's the one on your SD card.

I've got an old R4i Gold, I got it for my DS Lite. (From r4ids.cn) It's old enough that I can't find any on the internet, the only thing I could find is R4i Gold 3DS edition.
I've got CFW on my DS, when I use the newest R4 Wood kernel (1.64), I can load the menu but selecting a game takes me to an infinite loading screen. If I use the 1.48 R4 Wood kernel then I get stuck on loading before I even get to the menu. Does anyone know anything about this? Am I gonna need a more recent flash cart?
