QV is "unsafe", you're not going to be doing it up close and it does leave you at -4~3 but if they actually sit there and block because they're avoiding the frametrap it allows you to do 5P ball hit (but the 5P whiffs on the opponent) then another QV then 5P...looped over and over and it is very difficult to get out of. in the corner of course, can't find the tweet with fino fucking an axl atm. It's also air unblockable so it can catch people during prejump and jump frames right after.

about struggle, there are more places to use it, ie. 2D(2) > P set knockdown, dash 2P ball hit then jump cancel 2P into struggle or chain into 2K - isamu likes doing this a lot. 5K is jump cancellable as well, can dash struggle after carcass and stinger yrc and any multihit ball setups to get back in

consider P>K as a neutral formation too. H if you want to leave a ball to teleport to, remember you don't always have to play a ball as soon as it's summoned, they linger for a couple seconds

Backdash either needs to be really well timed to make use of the invult times or at 5S distance.
Also one movement tool you may not use is the 623k teleport. It teleports you in the air above the latest ball you set on the field. It's quite great if you leave a ball behind your opponent he forgets.

Xrd has interesting characters, balanced roster, near-perfect netcode, high graphical fidelity to the older games, appealing aestethics grounded in real world references, best OST of any fighting game ever, appropriate length for combos, and basically doesn't have anything to alienate anyone from it.
