well, yeah. there's one possible string of choices in which the protagonist decides she loves the dick but still identifies as a lesbian.

i'm not sure why this is more fucked up than having an ending involving cannibalism, or raping your mother to death with a spiked dildo, or being paralysed for life and kept as an incestuous sex slave, or watching the main character be raped by a woman while he weeps and has a mental breakdown, or endings where girls commit suicide because you refuse to fuck them, or any number of other bizarre bad ends

if you mean specifically the people praising it as consensual lesbian porn, they are lazy and failed to 100% it. sad, but common in reviewers.

Afaik there are no het routes. There are two possible het scenes at the end of the indecisive route where you focus on both main female love interests instead of just one.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I don't mind controversial stuff in games because people can do whatever, but when game journalists try to sell a game as something it clearly isn't... yeah. Also, the fact that CLove didn't think it was something worth mentioning until people pointed it out says a lot about them.

That's wrong, though. It does NOT surface only if you're looking for it. There's no het route, the het scenes come as a surprise if you end up on the bad route.

Kind of off-topic but I wish the reviews talking about how innovative the dialog system was would mention other games that have done that kind of thing.

Oxenfree is the most obvious example. I honestly don't know if there are more, because I don't play everything that comes out, because that's not my job.

(In Oxenfree, you have visible dialog bubbles you can activate to respond or jump into the conversation, but the conversation keeps going, and the bubbles will slowly fade away as they cease to be relevant. And everything's voice-acted, as well, so there's finesse needed in getting those interruptions to work.)

I know reviewers can't memorize everything, but it's literally their job to know.
