They weren't using the core to begin with retards. This explains everything.

Nostalrius and Elysium made their announcements. Then suddenly after over a year of Blizzard ghosting nostalrius despite Nostalrius working on battle.net integration out of their own pockets Blizzbulls contacted them again telling them to shut that shit down and not to release their source code to anyone.

So a few days later Nost tells elysium they won't be giving them shit. Not the code for the server and especially not the anti-cheat. Elysium figures their core is close enough to nost to get away with ""tricking"" people since most people never played vanilla on private servers let alone paid enough attention to notice the differences in bugs since there were a lot on Nostalrius as well.

So Elysium devs lie to get as many donations as possible before Nost finally admits that they won't be giving anyone shit because their overlords at Blizzard are still dangling jobs in front of them and baiting them into fucking over the very people that threw money at their project in the first place.

Now with Elysium stabling out and things calming down Nostalrius realised people would be asking questions about when the rest of the "community" is going to have access to the core, so they decided to rip the band-aid off today.

We were literally baited into playing Valkyrie. I can not fucking believe we left Kronos for this shit. What a fucking joke.

I wanted to heal at end-game because I consider healing relatively fun compared to the other roles in vanilla. Now I'm not sure what I want to play.

I want to be useful and needed and contribute to groups but I'm not all that interested in priests. I kind of want to play hunter but obviously they aren't particularly useful as a class. I suppose warrior would be a decent choice but I don't think I want to suffer through their leveling only to end up just DPSing in raids.

I've played it, did with a buddy at launch. It was awful but I've read that it's gotten quite a bit better.
I'm not a big elder scrolls person so grain of salt, etc, and WoW private servers are really the only themepark i normally spend time on as I mainly prefer more sandbox style games or FFA pvp type stuff (UO, darkfall, MO, etc).
Even tho I didn't enjoy it, it was "fine" and like I said, i've seen lots of people saying it's really improved. It felt very empty to me, not like a "world". The combat was pretty fun but pvp was mostly a zerg fest.
The housing stuff they are adding looks pretty decent, i think.

It's cheap or free if you feel like checking it out. I think if I was into the elder scrolls lore/world that I would have given it more of a shot.

Going from Howling Fjord to Grizzly Hills just feels like a more natural progression. Zones have plenty of character to differentiate them but they don't feel like they were random ideas stitched together.
