Noob DRK question. For boss fights ive been hitting grit then going though one Power Slash rotation with a Dark Passenger mixed in then using DA on the Power Slash itself before turning grit off and going on with my damage. That sound about good enough?

Im only 51 so im lacking all the HW skills. But i just want to make sure im at least on the right track and not picking up some bad habits for the last 9 levels and beyond.

I've noticed in the English release it's mostly either TV, film & music references or puns/innuendo. Do the japs have a similar theme or are they really tryhard with it? It's a shame that they completely cut 1.0's story from the game because it actually has a lot of Minfilia in it and her character development.

The lore book makes catching up on the little references to the history of the world interesting cause it does show not everything was quite as cut out as it seems, though in its own way I suppose a time skip was always going to make that shit hard.

They've made use of one of those aether-channelling horns from the events of 1.0, the Limsa one that Y'shtola was chasing. The Ul'dah one involved in that event seems to be unaccounted for (I have no idea if there was a Gridania one).

You should probably not take anyone seriously if they think anyone is twinking anything in this game. You can get some Mor Dhona stuff with Poetics, but if you're already at 60 then just get Lore and buy stuff in Idyllshire. You can also buy crafted off the marketboard or depending on your server ask someone to make you some stuff to start you off, but Lore is fine and you get Lore tomestops from Aetherochemical Research Facility
