Hotline Miami had a lot of shit to talk about in the first game and still after the second game, though. It's weird because FNAF is really shallow in terms of ambiguity or content density, with Hotline Miami and Dark Souls providing more room for debate while being less popular.

Hotline miami has an average player story completion rate of roughly 45% because of the skill curve required near the end of each chapter. Why didn't the SL animatronics do that? It's clear that they have two discrete, separable parts; the physical animatronic body and the data that actually makes them up; voice, programming, motivation, possibly lost souls, etc. exists as data, data in that piece of hardware you had to carry in night 5, and possibly inside the endoskeletons.

Couldn't there be some way to put that data inside of and in control of a human brain? I understand it's a silly, flawed idea that relies on animatronics performing brain surgery and transhumanism, but is it any more flawed or silly than several endoskeletons mashed together "scooping" a human body hollow then shoving itself inside?

Unless they had played Soma and knew how copying data actually works, of course, but something could probably be figured out. Just shoving those chips their data is stored on directly into Eggs' brain or something.

Kira could actually be scary though. JoJo stuff aside, Kira's a run of the mill serial killer. He's a seemingly regular guy who periodically murders people in cold blood for reasons he doesn't fully understand, and when he gets a family he needs to keep his double life a secret from them. Something about the way you draw legs and ass throws the picture off. Maybe it also has to do with your style of having things be bulky on-modelness which is a good but hinders things like this. I'm no artist but maybe tweaking things so she's leaning forward, extend her legs a tiny bit more past her ass before seperating so it doesn't go ass to rest of body so abruptly, while making her ass a little rounder might help.

The Mangle shrine is finally finished. I just got the figure in today. I usually am vehemently against painting/altering my figs but this one may see changes. They gave her eyelashes, but no white paint between each lash so it just makes her face look like it has really bushy eyebrows. She's also not the best at standing so she's using her not-lego version for better support. I'm so glad she has her tail though.

So was FNAF. It took me till 2 to figure out that it wasn't an intentional style.

FNAF 1's character designs were actually creepy. It probably has to do with the black and white lighting you see them in, as well as the fact that Scott was just trying to make creepy animatronics.

Scott's texture work was pretty bad, so I thought that he was trying to make a throwback to 90's FMV games.

FNAF 2's character designs suffered the same problems of 4 for me in that none of them capture a spooky feeling, and felt more hamfisted. Like he was trying to redesign Freddy or Chica to be more damaged or more kid friendly, to make them look like Bonnie and Foxy. The horror felt like an afterthought, and that the only time creepiness ever came up was when he was wondering how to make the jump scare. The later models are much more complex, but they completely bypass the original game's point by being over-designed and homogenized.
