Some people get worked up over this and like to speculate there were romantic feelings involved between Ayano and Asuka.

Finally finished Root Letter and as promised to the anon 2 days ago, I'll leave my impression: it was a good read overall, leaving me wanting more of the story.

The Goverment & The Princess ending is kinda weird for me, the Cursed Letter ending actually make sense and sorta fit to the mystery theme of the VN and I feel like it's the perfect route for first playthrough.

The true end perfectly ends the story and I feel like it portrays the message properly. It doesn't feel too forced like the other route and make sense without unnecessary drama.

I hope Kadokawa make more of this series but at a lower price or make the story longer while maintaining the high-production value since I cannot justify the hefty price tag of $60 for a 10 hours game even with the quality that it has.

I've been wanting to play it since release in Japan but then I found out it's only physical copy on Amazon so it kinda put me off from buying it Day One. If they would've sell it on GameStop or Walmart I would've get it on midnight release. I can understand people not liking it but I enjoy the whole game from start to finish and would definitely play the next game in the series if Kadokawa wants to do another one.
