Bravery notwithstanding, most of them got sunk with no BB's sunk in the process. People wana play BB's because, ostensibly, from a *gameplay* standpoint, this is a game about naval gunnery and they are the ultimate example of naval gunnery. Leme put this another way, this is a game made for Line Officers circa 1935, and if you were a Line Officer in 1935, Battleships were the cream of the crop, DD's were where careers went to die, and CV's were that newfangled thingambob that MIGHT be useful one day but need to prove themselves.

That all said, I want CV's to be back up to being feared and great in game, but I think they need a better counterpoint to dealing with them. Less 1 click die on opponents and something less than just being the last ship alive at the end of a match.

I don't *think* that's what they'd do. They already tried that on the Baltimore to no result. She's still the least played, and worse preforming CA at Tier 9. They buffed her AA a year or so ago and it did literally nothing since CV's stopped being a thing. And even if they were still a thing, I doubt it would make a difference since most CV's, by T9, aren't gona fly any planes over a USN CA in the first place.

IKR. Too bad too. She was one of the best designed heavy cruisers of the war and she just doesn't get her due in the game because of design choices. If they gave her IJN quality HE or the tanky levels of HP that something as heavy as her should have she'd probably be okay, but as it stands she's a brittle, low damaging CA with radar as her sole interesting feature.

Its accurate enough to:
1) Know there's a DD around, flanking you
2) Know where to expect torps coming from
3) Maybe not target directly with your guns, but good enough to send a torp spread in their general direction
4) Give cruisers and USN/RU DDs all the information they need to kill you or straight up make you irrelevant. Currently, you have to make an educated guess on which direction you're getting spotted from, and then go in that direction to hope you get into spotting/radar range. With the new skill, you just need to point your bow towards the indicator, and hit speedboost. Khab in particular will now be able to just speedboost in a straight line to catch up and kill any stealth DDs.

RPF is a mistake. Good BBs/Cruisers already know how to avoid getting hit by torps. Good DD hunters know how to kill bad enemy DDs and how to keep good enemy DDs in check. And stealth DDs will likely use RPF too, so it will become a game of making each other useless, as the enemy DD won't be able to position for torps/capping, and the hunter ship will have to keep going after the detected DD, making itself useless if it keeps up the pursuit for long.

Don't go running off on your own, stick with your BBs and scan for torps and DDs.

Fire HE or AP whenever you have a chance and if you start getting focused, stop shooting and let the BBs take hits before shooting again.

Concentrate on DDs, CL, CA, then BBs. Also, if your cruiser has torps, don't treat them as your main armament as you aren't a DD and you actually have a citadel.

If he does change course he will be showing his broadsie to your ally or have to reaim his guns. He won't be able to finish the ship he was firing at, and will have to calculate lead again. He will lose speed and thus be more vulnerable to any enemy.
