Having only ever seen screenshots and stuff i thought it looked pretty cool and was excited for it to come out. But only after hearing news of it's cancellation did i check out the trailer footage and honestly while it looked really good visually i cant say the gameplay was all that impressive or even looked like it would be fun, for me anyway.

I hear it was from the Platinum people and i typically enjoy their titles so that part was promising but seeing the almost QTE style nature of the larger boss battles kind of diminished by interest. Unless it was pulled off in a manner similar to Dragon's Dogma, which would have been sick and made me want it even more than i originally did, i cant say i'm too hurt by not getting it. Just kind of sucks that the Xbone is a system that really does need more exclusives, especially decent ones. If it turned out to be even simply mediocre that's still preferable to no exclusives or Quantum Break level exclusives.

I think the reason they prioritize CoG over the Swarm / Locust side is because they can be used in both multiplayer and horde, makes sense i guess if that's it.

probably depends on your level, if u are freshly after reup and start from 1st ,than evey 5lvls (besides the original 5th i think) u get bonus 500credits, so with bounty u will be around lvl 30 after the hardcore run so to every 500cr u earn, add 20% more, which will be something like 2400cr just for every fifth lvl + 50 waves cr reward. Overall in this level range u ll get more, if u are 50+ than insane is still better plus if u get yourself for a speedrun u ll save yourself time.

Truth is horde 3.0 is one of the worst, lame reskinned enemies (and dont start me on retarded ,slow and lifeless deebees, they are literaly a filler so this whole thing goes for so long), added classes confuse many simple joes and playing public is almost impossible to complete on harder difficulties, add that if someone leaves (because it fucking goes for so long/dc) and is scout/engi u can as well quit, and insane dmg imballance for insane mode that forces u to sit on turrets for most optimal performance and u get the lamest experienc horde mode has to offer ever.

I dunno. It's probably just because I was much younger when I played gears 2 Horde so I'm remembering it through rse tinted glasses, but I was so much more captivated by it. I can't even remember the map name, but I specifically remember one game of horde with a pub on the map with the seeder in the middle, based in a city with a shop and a theater? And you could enter the interior of the shop

Gears 3 was definitely a huge step forward with adding defences and horde there was a lot of fun, especially with lambert berserkers etc

I thing deebees really kill it for me. It's so hard to make a robot enemy lovable in the way that I loved the locust, deebees are just so stale and boring to play against. Killing off the locust fully was an annoying move for gears, I know they kinda had to but I would have accepted an "oh look they're not really dead lol". Yeah we kinda had that, but they're now rare as fuck and crystally and you see like 3 of them in the campaign. The leader of which is literally unnamed despite speaking English.

To be honest I'm kinda sad about the removal of beast mode. I know it's a swear word here but I actually really enjoyed judgement.

For the most part i disliked the entirety of Judgement, as most people rightfully do and should, but there are two things i consider worthwhile additions or alterations on the series. The first one were those extra challenge missions you could choose to do at some point in the level, made sense thematically and fit what the campaign for was going with at the time so it might be something that could only exist in that game but i liked them.

And Overrun, which honestly i found to be the best thing and only good thing to come from that whole mess. And i mean like legitimately fun, engaging, and different. It was sort of like a multiplayer horde mode, it was brilliant. The maps were varied enough to offer advantages that felt fair to both sides and every map was fun to play on whether you were on the attack or the defense. Mostly it could have just used some balancing adjustments in some rather obvious areas. It's pretty telling that Overrun was the only mode that lasted for as long as it did, having a larger and more active playerbase while the rest of the multiplayer modes died long before it.

I hear where you're coming from in the complaints with this one though, it's certainly flawed, but can be improved with patches and updates. And one of the main things is yes, the DBs. The first 3-5 waves of every wave after the boss is always the worst because of just how long and slow and boring it is fighting these personality devoid, faceless shambling machines

Because you can easily clear out some waves without hammer, you'll save much, much more energy and it'll take the same time.
Use planted nades (try to be as efficent as possible, the soldier should equip all grenade perks, TR and of course hammer), place a salvo to the left of the tree, looking at the shock spawn, closer to the torque bow section. Don't fall for the "salvo is bad" meme, it clears out enemies way faster than a turret and it never gets targeted if you set a couple barriers in the right spots. The only turret you need is the one on the ramp behind the wall.
Of course for this to work you need to place some barriers (3) and a heavy that can shoot properly with the salvo at long range.

There you have it. When done right, these rounds take 50 seconds or less even with no hammer. It's even easier with an extra turret or heavy. As for the exact player/barrier placement, I guess I'll have to use a map overview picture, or show it when I'll make the video.

Just realized all the bounties I've used in the day for credits in KOTH gave me 0 creds, thanks Trump.

I played Gears 3 Beta MP once and it was okay but I kept getting Gnashered and I chainsaw bayoneted a guy once or twice
Overall it was okay, not the worst multiplayer experience I've ever had but I would say it was great.

Due to our downtimes this weekend we will be extending the Developer Playlist and the Onyx Gold packs for at least 24 hours. We may extend the credit offering beyond 24 hours on the Onyx Gold Packs as well but marketplace for real currency will only be extended 24 hours.

We will also be doing a Double XP playlist next weekend to help make up for the downtime next weekend. We apologize for the downtime.

As of now, most issues should be resolved. Credits, XP, Progression may lag a little while the servers catch up on all the calls that occurred during the downtime. They are still being earned in the background but the servers need to catch up on awarding all the credits/XP earned over the past day so it may seem like you aren't earning anything but you still are. We will be checking in again in the morning.

Really? It looks pretty dead center when I aim it. Cause that's the first thing I noticed coming from 3 is how blind firing isn't cocked to the right side nearly as much. I'm not entirely sure but it looked like blind firing in 4 was almost identical to hard aiming in terms of where the bullets fly.

Vs seems to be doing "better", as in it's occasionally playable, not sure how Horde is though.

Gears 4 was a good campaign mind, but it wasn't a good GEARS campaign. There was no sense of dread, you didn't feel like you were fighting the losing battle, too little was at stake. Not to mention the only time characters died we'd only met them a few minutes before so didn't have time to get attached to them.

Almost non-existent. Which is why Cross-play is considered a big deal for them.

Only missing 4 skins and one Legendary. Opened 5 packs so far. Hopefully the last few dont take forever.

And thank goodness the servers got fixed. Just sucks that the Onyx Gold wont be available during the weekend where all the grinding could have been done.
