As someone with the dragon breath legendary I can say that I dont even use flame on any more. It's 100% inferior to the perma-crit on every target within 30yd. My cleave is fucking outta this world.

They had a great idea that they wanted to make all specs feel unique and have stronger identities:
BM was going to be Ranged + Pet
MM was going to be Ranged without Pet
Surv was going to be Melee + Pet

But then they stopped development on the Hunter class for a whole year. Hotfixed it to be functional 1 month before Legion changes launched.

And they have not fixed the problems since.

In 7.1.5 for whatever reason they wanted to try to fix some issues.. But they ended up fucking it up even more.

Problem:
BM and Survival have no scaling because for BM more than 50% of your damage comes from your pet and the scaling simply is not there.
Survival is unfinished, doesnt even have a prober talent tree, has no synergy between spells, has incredibly poor secondary stat scaling due to awful mechanics.And the gameplay is unresponsive due to massive build-up time for the spec to start dealing damage.

MM has all the same problems. Its new "Vulnurable" mechanic is the second biggest turd behind Survival. The one thing MM did have however was ungodly AoE. Sidewinders would apply Vulnurable on all the targets it hit and also mark them, then Marked shot would deal 150% bonus damage to everything infront of you. MM was strong AoE, shit single target.

Blizzard doesnt play Hunters so they thought that if they simply nerf Sidewinders and give blanket buffs to other abilities, that would fix MM. It didnt. Now MM is shit Single target, shit AoE, doesnt scale.

Yes. Because of AoE.
Sidewinders applied vulnurable and marked everything it hit. And it hit literally everything infront of the hunter for 50 yds. Then you followed up with a 500k Marked shot for every mob.
The damage added up.

Now Sidewinders is nerfed to shit. Doesnt apply vulnurable anymore, Marked shot doesnt benefit from Vulnurable anymore.

The lack of a reliable Vulnerable debuff on your target causes massive disfunction in your rotation. 30 less Focus means you have less leeway. swapping targets is fucking awful now.

They remove the bandaid fix that was Sidewinders, and hoped if they just give general buffs to abilities it would fix the problem.

I was lucky to get a legendary early; but the timegating on the second legendary - it's a 5 ilvl boost.

I got from 855-865 through titanforging regular mythics and low level mythics that I was lucky to get into. Then I had some nice guildies that contributed some higher keys to me that boosted me to high 860's pretty fast, from there it wasnt so hard

For AoE it's okay.

For single target, it is 100% garbage. Marksman only wants to use Marked Shot to apply vulnerable. Applying vulnerable again in the middle of vulnerable is extremely bad bacause with patient sniper vulnerable damage bonus slowly increases as the duration runs out. REsetting that is a huge DPS loss.

On top of that, you get a shitload more Marking Targets procs now anyway, so for AoE It's not even really that big of a buff. The bursting shot damage legendary is actually better for AoE than Zevrims.

If you are not in a top 100 guild there's just as much reason to optimize correctly because there's a higher chance your fellow raiders won't care/know too much about perfect play to capitalize on it during boss fights (or are too mechanically slow to pull off perfect rotations and deal with raid hazards).
If you are a good player and can carry a bit of extra weight in order to push for a kill, you do what you must even if it means grinding extra +.5% damage traits or rolling a class that does higher damage after yours gets nerfed.

Artifact knowledge is the same for every artifact for one character.

Artifact power is artifact specific; however AP tokens says "for your currently equipped artifact", so if you want to take on healing, you can farm tokens with your DPS spec, switch to healing, equip your healer artifact then use dem tokens.

Of course, a druid needs roughly 2x as much time to max out her four artifacts than a DH with her 2.

-production professions (other than tailoring and enchanting) require mats for a gathering profession so they best be used together (alchemy+herbalism, mining+blacksmith, skinning+leatherwork etc)

I have a DK, a Priest, a Warlock, a Paladin and a Druid either at 110 and 105+ yet still have no idea what to play. I can't help but feel like at most there is one spec I like to play while the other two (or three) inspire nothing but indifference to me.

While I loved Frost, I really hated the RNG clusterfuck that was Unholy while Blood just felt subpar in comparison to the other tanks.

My druid is only 107 and while I don't mind Guardian, I can't bring myself to like Balance or Restoration. Feral also feels unrewarding when my Frost DK shits out AoE while doing competitive ST dps for a fraction of the effort. With all the doomsaying surrounding Feral, I doubt I'll ever get to do a M+ as Feral either.
