It's really difficult to learn how to play, because when you get a shit hand you're basically totally helpless and get utterly rekt.

There were two things that helped me. The first was learning what to mulligan: I keep only 1xEPM, 1xRoach, 1xNature's Guidance, 1x Ancient Elf. Occasionally I'll keep a Fairy Circle or a Feena, everything else gets mulliganed.

The second thing was learning to use alternate roach combos. Obviously it's ideal to wait until turn 7 and them do an instant 17 damage (19 if you went 2nd), but oftentimes you'll be able to get their health lower than that and can launch an early combo, or a less-than-perfect one.

The hardest thing is getting rid of wards. That's why you keep some Dances of Death around, but that delays you by a whole turn so it's not idea.

Played a little over 80 games with Nep so far and this is the state my deck is in. I feel pretty comfortable against all matchups except Seraph. Roaches and Daria can also be difficult matchups if you brick your draws, but thats a bit harder to do with this variant.

At least in my experience Resentment, Tempest, Pact and Dingdong are enough to slow those decks down so that you live to your turn 6 Breath and turn 7 Khawy. Aggrobats is probably the hardest to deal with out of the 3 you listed, since if your opening hand is bad enough you just autolose - but as long as you mulligan for stuff like Dingdong and Tempest you'll be fine most of the time.

Daria is pretty easy to deal with though; most of their stuff doesn't have Storm, so you'll generally be able to remove it before it hits face. It's tough if they get multiple Levi+Piercing combos off since there's no way to heal outside of Khawy, but as long as you stay on top of their board it's manageable, and almost an autowin once you get to Neptits.

Goburoach isn't too bad either, since usually you get Death's Breath online before they can OTK you, and they don't really have an answer for 3 2/3s with Ward.

Hmm I see. Then I guess I should replace my Widows with Dingdongs since I've been getting slaughtered by fast aggro decks. I've alsoo run into some roach decks teching in Will of the Forest just to get rid of my zombie wall which is pretty frustrating. Daria's direct burn can also be pretty hard to deal with if they manage to get 1 or 2 hits to face in, especially if they go second. Levi+Piercing is such a bullshit combo.
