That's when frags and incendiary bolts most reliably can kill people, and when smokes can block the lines of sight you know are critical. And when you have people nailed down and know where they are, the acog is generally preferred at anything beyond tonsil hockey range.

Hey guys new player here. I just finished my placements and got put in silver 4. I think I maybe have 25 hours in the game based off of steam.

>mvp 3 wins
>middle of the pack rest of the games
>won 5/10
I try to focus on callouts and vision, shoot cams, etc. as much as I can without being too backseat. I play mostly with friends I met in my first few games who have 100+ hours, yet I seem to be better than them just from being situationally aware but I still feel like I'm shit
TLDR: why am I silver 4 and generally better than most people I play with only 25 hours. Are callouts really that important?

The ranking system is based on if your team wins or loses, and the other team's ranks. It doesn't care at all about your kills or score.

Yes. You telling your teammates where the opponents are coming from, and letting them score the kills, still gets you the win. Their skills wouldn't nessicarily make up for their lack of info.

There is so much wrong with this list - the issue with headgear is how absurdly out of place and colorful it is. If something is a meme, like pulses eyeband or Twitches chainmail, but can't really be seen from a distance, it doesn't fucking matter. It's cancerous but not distracting.

The capitao florescent colored Brazillian flag and other shitty shiny headgears people have are a perfect example of what needs to die in a fire never to return

have you never used grenades or breaching tools or anything? That's the biggest reason why this game feels so good to play for most people. It isn't just a fucking corridor shooter where you can't interact with anything at all. games like csgo and cod feel so stale now because of that. Being able to break the environment really adds another layer to the game.

Sure, its buggy as fuck, but its really the only good choice since the only other one with actual destruction is battlefield and thats a completely different style of game.

My issue with reddit is it's still just a meme board that signal boosts the most popular stuff. If you go on the Siege subreddit, it's great for amazing webm's and gifs of some good plays - and there is occasionally a discussion thread, but any dissenting opinion or anything saying "Yeah Rook Mine is kind of stupid tbqh" gets downvoted into oblivion. Whereas 4chan you just get good and bad at a steady pace but not condensed for ease of view.

If I had 5 minutes and wanted to see some juicy Siege memes, I can hit up reddit. If I'm doing shit and want a nice discussion over the course of the day I have 4chan open.

Reddit's main problem is exemplified with how many boards have to remind people "The Downvote is not a "I disagree" button" and then use custom code to try and disable downvoting - which isn't entirely possible. Even though this has been a staple for years, Reddit still hasn't given the option for subs to have upvotes only... Meaning, yes, it is a "I disagree" button. Reddit by design meant for hive mind mentality. That is the entire point of why it exists.
