I was going through the guide. I just finished step 2 of the 3ds guide. My dumbass click on Smash bros( a title that I did not purchase or downloaded), then it a black screen appeared. So I turned off and took off the sd card. Now my 3ds has dim/flickering screen on the top and the bottom screen is now green.

So I'm getting to the point in the process where I'm booting Decrypt9 and it's telling me I'll need to create a backup.

Stupid question;

I'm using a 32gig SD card. There's about 9gigs of free space left on it. Am I not going to have enough room for a backup? Should I take my SD card out and clear some space? I don't have a spare SD card. Can I just go back into the 3DS menu before I downgrade and delete some games?

Anyone has had problems formatting a microsd card?

Apparently fucked up with Windows formatting it (it was showing it to be 1mb), so put it in phone to format it. It correctly shows 59.47gb but now it can't be identified properly by windows, says the format is RAW.

This is unnecessarily difficult. Gparted in Linux doesn't work with it either. It doesn't help that I need root for my phone to format the card to FAT32.

Also maybe the old usb sd card reader is at fault? It's an old "telus" usb sd card reader.

I was following the guide on 3ds.guide to install arm9loaderhax, and got to the part where you have to go to http://dukesrg.github.io/2xrsa.html?arm11.bin. The page never loaded, and my 3ds froze up. Upon restarting it, the power button flashes blue for a second, then goes out. This happens regardless if there is an sd card in or not.

Any modern microsd card reader should work.

I managed to get mine working using some shitty freebie I had lying around. The left adapter in pic was the one I used for all SD and microSD until now. But then I got a 128GB card and windows would only read it as 31GB with that adapter. My phone was able to read the full 128. The shitty adapter barely holds the card in but it worked enough to format the full size to FAT32.

/hbg/, is it possible to make the PS3 play Blu-Rays from all regions (and DVDs too would be nice)? I have recently moved from Europe to Murrica and have a lot of BDs that I can't play on a hand-me-down PS3 that I got here.

I don't even care that much about piracy that much, I'm a PC gamer mainly and the few PS3 games I want I can buy, but I would really like an all-around all-region BD and DVD player. I know there are sites that sell modded BD players that do exactly that, but fuck paying them $150 for a player with void warranty if I can do it myself with a PS3, with the bonus of being able to play vidya on top.

I'm quite confused.
I wanted to replace the Steins;Gate manual with the walkthrough in manual format that some anon from here did quite some time ago.
Thing is, if I put the files into ux0:patch/PCSB00724/sce_sys/manual they're not recognised for some reason.
Putting the moleculeShell eboot.bin into said folder works however.
Now, I just thought that maybe manuals can't be overwritten for some weird reason. But Persona 4 Golden recognizes the changed manual when the ID is changed which I don't get.
If I could, I'd just install a dump and would just replace the manual files this way, but since my card died not too long ago (and I'm not going to throw money away for those expensive shits because the adapter is almost finished) I have to resort to "patching".

There's always that fade to black transition which kinda eats your time. Also try switching boxes in the PC. In ORAS, it smoothly transitions while in SM, there's like half a second delay each time you press the buttons to switch.

For some reason, trying to launch a resident evil 5 iso from my hdd through either multiman or webman won't work. It loads just fine, downloads the update, and installs to the hdd and even lets you start playing. But the loading screen after you talk to the guy to get your gun just loads forever without freezing. Is it a compatibility issue or an issue with the iso I downloaded? Is there a list of known causes for this freeze? Have been stuck on mine for a day. I know it's not a card format issue since I moved to a FAT32 formatted card that was literally just pulled out of a box. I used all of the files that were linked on Plialect's guide for arm9loaderhax installation. I've tried initializing the browser save data and pressing Select and then A after the page freezes but nothing seems to resolve this.

Can the arm11.bin loading phase randomly fail due to something during the downgrade to 2.1.0 ? If so, what options do I have for getting a O3DS back to an exploitable firmware in order to try to get back to 2.1.0 again?
