The option to recruit Fuuka doesn't show up at the Owari menu for some reason. I heard that I have to fight Orochi in this route so I was wondering if this will affect anything.

Actually looking at that again you can't even fight Orochi in Kenshin route, so don't worry. The dungeon will open automatically through story events

I like how so many of us have sharp enough eyes to spot that anon is on the Kenshin Route, but not sharp enough to spot that anon's question has already been answered many times over.

On a related note, if anyone can be bothered to find out what exactly makes Fuuka unrecruitable, it'll be appreciated, there's no mention of it anywhere that I know of on the Wiki, and I think fixing that problem has been on my to-do list since summer 2015.

The wiki is hopelessly outdated, and some information is wrong/outdated like some semi-generics having fixed stats (Super Jockey for example) or Yukihime's priority list (on several occasions she incited Takeda instead of Tanegashima with Uesugi conquered)

Their 13-turn 3 actions strat is also too RNG heavy where you must get 2 of either scrolls or cups else you can't get dungeon scout on Suzume, and you need to capture good enough generic warriors and foot soldiers to clear the dungeon. Comparatively, the 14-turn strat on the gamefaqs walkthrough is much more lenient with regards to RNG with no need to roll affection items or good generics, and is much more comprehensive describing the exact things you should do in order to win the early game castle battles

There's no reference to grinding for affection items and the only RNG mentioned is to reroll assassinations only IF you really can't win certain battles. It also becomes easier if you get a strong earlygame bonus character with high enough troop count like Elina or Morita Ai

I had that same issue a while back, I think people here figured out that the problem was something along the lines of this.
If you kill too many enemies at once the enemy armies get a small boost to their troops. The issue is that this boost can interfere with capturing the Yokai wives, since the game thinks they haven't been wiped out.

If you're using Natori/Seigan to fight them, try not using them and only target the wife you're attempting to capture

Yeah, to my memory what you've said is about right. I've got the full text of those posts saved somewhere so if any more specifics are needed I can organise them and post them, but as you can see (pic related, if I'm not mistaken that's about 75,000 characters to go through), it's a fucking mess so it could take a while for me to do, although at least if I did it now it would make the Wiki's info on the subject easy to clean up.
