Aggro is still the best way to play Shadow, but your deck is way too top heavy to be mid-range (but I guess that's because you're missing Cerberi), also it lacks the Howls, these are very important. Widows are usually not that good in this meta if you're running mid-range, as it can't trade versus most two drops. But even so I think the classes are way closer together if we're talking about power levels and shit, so that's pretty good.
Overall I think the meta is alright right now. As long as we can choose and climb with aggro, mid-range, control or combo decks based on choice alone I will be happy.

Mid-range decks are the inbetween of aggro and control decks.
They want to trade versus aggro, stabilize off of value and then win from there, while outpacing control (as an aggro deck would) and racing combo (since everybody has to).
Control always wants to do value plays and grind the opponent out of cards or stabilizing well enough to play their wincon (Albert, Seraph) and win off of that.

For one thing the matches are now much faster.

Finished 10 wins on ladder just for general points and acquiring the sleeves in less than an hour. You can net 30 wins in probably three hours straight now.

I just wish this game had an alternative mode that isn't unranked where people went for fun instead of ranking and still received monthly scores so people would be more inventive rather than going for the kill.

Healhaven, control blood, and aggro Blood are really the only ones that can reliably contest roach. Aggro can just outspeed it while control and heal haven are never going to let you get them low enough for an average turn 7 combo and you need to invest entirely into the big 20.

I'm new to the game and I'd like some input on these rolls. I'm hoping to go Bloodcraft with some Sword on the side.
First roll didn't give me much for Bloodcraft but I got attached to the Albert and Odin.
Second one has the two Matriarchs and apparently Vania and Veight are staples.

D.Shift just needs to be gutted. The meta is only balanced now, because control decks are actually allowed to exist. Morde, Seraph, and Bahamut can all be answered with Odin. D.Shift cannot be fucking answered by a control deck and is an absolute counter that has no right existing.

They released overpowered cards for the class to make it more follower based, and they achieved that. They have no excuse to keep that card in its current state now.

My main problem is that all decks are defined by how they play around Dorothy, not against her. Aggro decks work because they can potentially kill before Dorothy's board presence matters. Control decks work because they can reset Dorothy's board presence with boardwipes and then play a win con that doesn't depend on board presence. And that's pretty much it. Both are just ways to bypass her. No successful deck actually tries to play directly against her. You can't.

Isn't that kinda fucked up? Sometimes a deck has a specialty you don't want to challenge them at, like how you wouldn't want to take on d-shift with a late game wincon. But board presence is so universal. Up until now, most decks have been defined by how well they can gain board presence. Suddenly it just doesn't matter anymore. If you try, you'll just lose. That's why midrange sword and tempo forest suddenly went from being the two strongest decks to being irrelevant, they just can't win board presence anymore. Forest had to switch to storm strategies with roach, since that's the only thing that they can do quickly and without a board. Sword only seems to work if it's aggro. Control sword is only really relevant because all the aggro right now are free wins for them, otherwise they lack the reliable board wipe that control decks absolutely need against Dorothy.

I don't like this at all. We countered her, but only be abandoning a core part of the game and throwing away dozens of decks built around it. We had to change the whole game just to have a chance to win.

it has nothing to do with a web show. the classes both have broken mechanics - card generation and mana curve cheating (miracle style, not ramp). shocking, but when you have consistently have more cards or can play double the amount of mana the other person can in the early turns, you are usually going to blow them out. this is true in almost all card games. rogue in hearthstone with auctioneer turns and preps and their 0 mana cards or druid with innervate nut draws are nearly unbeatable. warlock zoo for longest time with double card draw every turn and minions that generate more minions are similar to forest and took absolutely broken pirate cards to remove from the meta.

These 2 mechanics (card generation and cheating curve) are always overpowered and titty elf and forest both have them inherently in their class. Its obvious they will be top tier classes barring any major broken cards introduced to others.

There's no way they'll leave Rune in its current state. It always has been a problem class thanks to a deck literally removing an entire archetype from the game. But, it was excused due to it being the only deck. Having 2 meta warping decks that force THE ENTIRE FUCKING GAME to revolve around answering your bullshit is way over the line.

They need to either balance the class, or castrate one of the 2 decks to allow people to actually answer the other without auto losing.
