Blizzard sucks ass at balancing, every patch they fuck up a hero, whether it be by making them completely useless or by making them insanely overpowered (look at d.va for example, she was widely regarded as useless since release, was buffed to a viable state in a recent patch but is already going to be nerfed back to uselessness in the next) while some heroes are allowed to shit on the meta for VERY long periods of time without being touched (ana and rein).
The meta right now is in an awkward state of being dominated by the same 8 or so heroes to the point where if you pick anything else in high level ranked you'll be considered a troll, and it gets old very fast.

If I didn't already own it I wouldn't consider paying for it until they finally gave in and nerfed ana and rein for good, which will never happen because blizzard loves playing favorites.

Update on the STAR_ vod. The ripoff accusations have died down but the chat is reaching so far to call this game bad it's so cringy.

They keep dragging on about how "bad" the voice lines/actors and sound effects are as if it affects anything. They also can't shut up about the character visual designs. It's so ridiculous how set they are on this game being as bad as they think it is.

Being one of the most talented students of those sacred knowledge she one day did something no one else was capable of. Combining both. That brought her so much respect that she became one of Nyx's direct students. The day Androxus walked in the living throne room to kill him/her/it, ying was the last one to stand in his way. She tried to talk him out of it, but in the end all she got was silence and a slap in the face that threw her to the ground. The death of Nyx triggered much more than the everlasting curse of Androxus. Decay. The forest dies. it rotts from underground with no sign of slowing down.
Her people had to flee from the holy shrines to the human fishing habours, where they now live in poor slums. Some elves have to work in order to kep their families safe and warm, but most refuse to because the humans only take from nature for their gain, not for survival. After a short time it almost came to an open conflict, yet Ying managed to talk both sides down. The grudge didn't stop, which lead to the elves giving up their people.
Now they're spread all across the realms, fighting and living on their own. But Ying is still fighting for the forest and her People to this day.
She entered the contest of Paladins to make their misfortune and misery known in all realms.

I just threw together the first thing that came to my mind. what do you think?

It has a pretty good number of players. It's a bit sparse in competitive but you can still get in a match after some waiting.

I'd say but the Founder's pack, having all the champs unlocked is pretty nifty. Also the horse and Fernando skin are also pretty cool.

That said though, you can easily unlock all champs within a few days of playing.

Lack of mobility and escape once you start attacking drastically harms her ability to win duels and get out of ones she's losing. With PBolts and Nimble Fingers her DPS is insane, yes, I've solo-ed Fernandos with it, but with her now-reduced HP, dies too quickly when enemies actually react to you. Personally I'd just decrease all damage by ~30%.
Pretty much every non-tank character is two projectile shots / half a second of continuous fire away from dying at full health.

That's stupid when all escape abilities have some kind of a cast animation, your ping is ~50ms and on top of that there's like 200ms of lag compensation for hitscan weapons.

Sha Lin, Mal'damba have instant escapes.
