Zangief, FANG and Ibuki models are the only one we know for sure they've been outsourced to Western studios like Volta in Canada.

Even if that's the case, that doesn't mean shit. FANG model is very good, aside from some minor clipping issues with his collar, and Ibuki's face looks bad only on specific screens.

The game is designed to run on a PS4 or a PC with a GTX960. They could probably fix the clipping on PC but they figure, why bother? Wouldn't you say that SFV was built with the idea of it being casualized and feel less like work? I didn't play SFIV, I just watched the tournaments, but people kept talking about 1-frame links and plinking, which are now extinct concepts in SFV.

Just yesterday in Daigo's show, he was talking with Fuudo and Nemo about how to balanced the training "labwork" aspect of a game and the "just play" for fun aspect, and they all seemed to agree that SFIV was more focused on execution and having to train/practice harder for that.

SFV has much less execution requirements than SFIV, but it's a very behaviour-based game where if you do stuff that is considered "dirty" by modern standard you have to be ready for some kind of commitment.

For example, modern players see wake-up DPs as a scrubby tactic? They made DPs not invincible from frame 1 anymore UNLESS you pay an EX bar and if you do wake-up EX DP and the opponent blocks it expect a big punishment anyway.

The DP thing is just an example, but you get from that what I'm trying to convey.

I just feel like Crush Counters after whiffed/blocked DPs are an overkill, especially now that meterless DPs aren't invincible anymore (unless you play Cammy and Akuma and you're in V-Trigger).

It's like every character is being designed around what it feels like to fight them, rather than what it feels like to play them. And we know this actually happens because every character got gimped after the beta. So of course this ends up with characters that aren't fun to play.

The switch requires you have a book bag or decently large purse. I think most people don't care about playing portable AAA games so badly that they need to carry that thing with them everywhere. Phone games satisfy that small down time when out in public. That or people have dozens of others apps and internet to keep them preoccupied.

The switch is going to be just as big as a failure as the wiiu considering it already isn't getting full third party support. Third party platforms aren't going to heavily gimp their games just to release on a dead platform. There is no way to compete with the ps4
