Also, since so many people use SB, so even if MM spooked survivor, then survivor will use SB, gaining invincibility to the hit and running away. Basically, MM starts with impaired chasing potential, and wastes a lot of time build EW2.
While other killers would already start pressure survivors by chasing and hitting them, MM does nothing.

They fully understand that camping is a tactic that killers can use.
When camping, the killer fully gives up his entire map control for one sac. This can allow survivors to get 1-4 gens for basically free depending on how they play.

Ironically, the same people who benefit the most from camping, SWF groups, are the same ones who complain the most about it. They don't want to let their buddies die so they swarm and don't get gens, which actually turns the killers gamble into a good play.

The trick I've found that works is to injure them and see if they moan.

If they moan:
>Can take time to play around pallet town
>Going slow and listen for moaning
>Patience is key

If they don't:

>if they keep juking you might be better to just break away and check the gens because there's a good chance they'll get away

The descriptors "common, "rare" etc. don't actually indicate the perk's rarity, but just what levels they'll show up at. For whatever reason, you graduate from "commnon" to "very rare" perks fairly early, so you've effectively only got a few levels to nab a common perk - and some early bloodwebs don't have perks at all. This is only aggravated by the fact that, as you prestige, you'll get "rarer" perks earlier.

As a result, the "common" perks end up being the rarest at all - if you aren't lucky enough to grab them early, then you won't see them again until you've gone through several level 50 bloodwebs and have taken literally everything else.

Stridor already takes a strong part of the killers kit and amplifies it. There is no full counter to rank 3 stridor. Iron Will is a half counter and even then it only helps when you've already been found so you're still in a situation where you have to lose the killer anyway.

Put Simply if you're bad at securing people with Iron Will, you'll still have trouble even with Stridor. BUT finding them in general, that is not tracking them in a chase, just like patrolling and such is still very likely to net you a "survivor found" especially if they heal up. Besides, VERY few people use Iron Will anyway so if you use stridor you should basically never lose a survivor unless you choose to stop chasing them.

You used to get 250 objective points for marking things with the map, so if you brought a map with red twine on it you got 250 objective points for every gen, hook, and trap you got near, including the 4 basement hooks. So as you can imagine this led to the meta baddies breaking all the hooks (which were also 1000 bold per hook sabotage then) and not actually trying to escape because it didn't matter they got insane points at insane speeds for 0 effort.

Now the map give 50 points per item. I personally think the only things it's good for now is with the black cord add-on to find the hatch, and the marker add-on to slap a marker on it. Otherwise you're better off not bringing an item at all and taking something out of a chest.

It goes deeper than that. Stealth gameplay is actively not rewarded in Dead By Daylight. The only thing you get out of it is not being detected, which as a personal thing, is good. But you get far more points when you run him around in circles like a retard. Not only does it give you points, it also distracts the killer, meaning you're effectively helping your team win much harder that you would be by popping generators and avoiding his LoS. If they gave any fucking bloodpoints AT ALL for avoidance maybe we'd stop seeing this absolutely AIDS style of gameplay.

Also Hag is pretty fun to play. She feels weak and all, but watching people try to window hop with a spooky jumpscare popping up in front of them is nice

That's why I do it. I love that feeling I get when I lose a killer or hide right under their nose. It never gets old. I was so stoked the first time (and still am every time really) I reached rank 1 because I did it with stealth. It feels like an actual accomplishment compared to what I see other rank 1s do. It's harder to learn and it gives less points. Sadly most people just see the lower points and I get the "your bad" treatment.

Even as a survivor main I get salt when I play killer. I play super passive and focus exclusively on getting my dailies completed, often hooking people just to hook them before taking a leisurely jog in the opposite direction. Usually the salt comes from morons who have no idea how to play all that well and have just been relying on crutches up until then. I try to explain to them how to do other things to succeed since it's in my best interest for when I meet up with them as a survivor to not have to carry them, but people who play this game get very upset when you try to help them improve for whatever reason. Basically if you're trying to get salt, killing them and then trying to help them in the post game lobby is a salt generator like no other. First time I've been invited to a group though.

I don't know how to play against wraith with out spine chill or prem.

You almost always will need at least a window hop to lose a killer legit. Sometimes if you're far enough you can break Line of Sight making him think you're going one way and then turn around and walk the other while he tries to cut you off where he thinks you're going, but you need distance for that.

Aw I went back and watched it. He said at the end to my "Whispers is basically impossible to 1v1" comment that I didn't really do any work that game. I had almost 5K points in all objective because he never saw me except at then end where I quickly died and I couldnt altruism because they threw a basement party and he chainsaw sprint camped it. I mean I even stayed hidden for a good minute while inside his whispers search at the end, just kinda following him and such. Makes me sad that people don't realize the stealth aspect of the game.

I suppose it's expected since the very nature of playing stealth means the killer will never know when he just got outplayed or how well you lost him or the like. Because they don't see it. He literally never knew I was in the Coal Tower. Never knew I was at any other gen I was at. He just assumed I was jerkin off somewhere since he never saw me. If I had been at the basement party at least I would have gotten like 4K altruism, instead I got shit on by whispers. A point rework couldn't happen soon enough.

I'm not fond of sabotaging hooks so I don't use toolboxes for anything else, I'd rather be working on the objective and try to stealth my way away from the killer because stealth is fun. Only time I sabotaged hooks was once when I first got my hands on a toolbox and saw the prompt as I was passing by a hook so I did it to see what would happen, and then a few days later 4 times for a daily.

There is no time limit though, as long as you're avoiding the killer entirely then you can be as slow as you need to be. The only thing that might make it seem like time is of the essence is when you're friends are all being constantly found and being chased and it seems like its just a matter of time until you'll be the last one left, so you kinda get in a hurry to do as many gens as possible.

It really is that simple sometimes. I was running towards the other pallet, but once I heard him start breaking the one i dropped I knew I could slide back into the corner because he's stuck staring at his foot. But because of the way tracks are put down, that is they're put in a wider area than you'd think around you, my tracks were at least partially painted on the far wall, which is why he went that way, but because I have lightweight they wore out quick and he soon had nothing to go on thanks to iron will, and I just walked right back through the pallet he just broke. Honestly I do get got quite a bit more than I'd like, but that's how you find out what works, gotta just try things out.

Two things,

I recently noticed that if you only need one gen, and you're working on a gen when someone starts a different one by extension starting yours you'll get full points for the gen and co-op points.

And I've been using Balanced Landing because why not for a while now but I keep forgetting to post that it's got a little bug going on right now. Maybe it's always had this, maybe you already knew. But sometimes at seemingly random times it just gives me the 2 second speed boost for no reason, and it doesn't even go on cooldown. So that's neat I guess.
