why do items like echosaber, drums, armlet, urn, hotd exist? they can't be upgraded and are useless when your other slots are full and you have 4k extra gold. Then extension is the same, Basher/Deso/AC/BKB. He is a fighter hero.

You just ult, summon your wolves, Howl when you have it, and run at a support at 700 MS with free crit and alch ult regen

All hero roles are very complex and play differently. Carry is the most straightforward shit. Tape your ass to the safelane and farm. If you're a hardcarry like alche, AM, void, you build battlefury and farm the jungle until you get a nice item lineup, some carries can greed out and go for a midas instead. That's about it. Just don't be a retard and think you can win the game alone, because you can't.

I can't. Seriously. I got this mmr playing 10 games as support, I warded, pulled, etc, and still lost. The carries were shit. I played two as a carry (with a comfortable pick) and lost because I never knew anything, never had support.

I'm itching to pick something like Bloodseeker, Axe to meme my way through... but I'm mostly a dedicated support, my team non-ranked mmr is higher, my matches are always very high elo, as when I play solo I get normal ones.

if you wanna support, omni is notorious for good solutions to the "i fucked up because im a retard" plays of your carries at that level. you dont even have to buy wards, no one even looks at the map at that level really. if you pick omni though, dont go off and afk in the jungle or a lane, actually fight with your team.

if you wanna learn a mid hero knowing how to play invoker, tinker or storm at that level is pretty strong because no one really understands how to play against them. simpler mids that are strong are huskar, mirana and ember.

being a good offlaner could also win you games. abbadon, axe, and undying are all offlaners that if you win the lane hard enough, derail all ability for the enemy carry to be a part of the game, since people at that level have a very poor understanding of how to recover in farm.

You don't need to play carry, you can gain MMR as a support no problem, I have done it loads of times to overcome plateus, I went from 4.3k to 4.7k with Visage and Oracle for example.
Just hit creeps with any hero, try to get at least say 40 cs every 10 minutes, as a support do it by pulling for the first 10, other heroes do it in lane.
Use your spells correctly (When you can save people, or kill people, or you're in lane with full mana and a basi aura), and make sure they actually hit

Well done you're going to go up to 3k or something no problem.

No im sure you can gain MMR with supports at every level.

The reason you aren't is because your play is at that level of MMR, you won't gain if you're playing at the level it corresponds with.
Just put in effort and try to win, fix mistakes and try and play better, thats literally all it takes to gain MMR.

Deal more damage, farm more creeps, have stronger map awareness, counter gank, gank. None of those require you to play a specific hero.
I would assume you 2/1/2 at that MMR, so just pick Venge, get level 3, tp to the Offlane and run at their carry and stun him, your team mates will also cast spells, no one on the enemy will TP to defend him, you are 3 v 2, maybe 3 v 1 if they have a jungler, and you just got a kill.
Shrine up if needed, run mid and stun him, then go back top and lane support for a bit, zone, pull, maybe you can get a kill by stunning someone there because you and your carry are both at an XP advantage due to him getting solo XP, you getting a kill on a mid laner.
Congrats you just won the early game and probably had a bigger impact in the first 10 minutes than you will have ever had by just buying 1 tp and stunning twice, maybe three times.
You can do that every game till 3k no problem.

valve's matchmaking has always been this hit, especially in the past where the highest mmr's used to be high 6k to low 7k and those people in that range were few and far between so they would ALWAYS be matched with 4k/5ks.
Now since everyone is high as fuck it only makes sense that you would see it more often.

Linkens does almost nothing that game, should have been a damage item, or Butterfly (They have no MKBs, and a lot of right click)
BladeMail isn't that strong versus most their heroes except maybe Invoker, but a BKB would have been stronger, Satanic would have been a strong pickup vs Axe (Similar to Blademail Legion, you just pop it when they go to Blademail Dual/Call you and negate it).
SnY just isn't good, and Manta would have been much better to remove Track, help spread out Omnislash damage, and remove Cold Snap.

Skill build seems fine, you did a lot of damage despite dying a lot so it looked like you were casting spells and pressing buttons on heroes.

The best bloodseeker item build is eul's -> item to counter their most problematic hero -> mjolnir <-> defensive item -> some other random shit <-> abyssal blade.

He's a very good carrier for silver edge because bloodrage is best comboed with things that give you DPS, things that give you burst damage, and things that lower enemy DPS. Silver edge is the only item that does all three.

I regret having spammed Abaddon as position 3, having him as position 4 has been one of my favourite experiences in Dota.

Early dual off-lane (4-7 minutes) into defensive mid rotations or offensive safe-lane rotations.

Orb, wand, tranquils (arcane boots rush if you've got a good start), headdress into vlads, urn, aether lens, force staff.
You can get any moderately priced utility item you want and have it work flawlessly. Solar crest and drums are amazing. Comboing blink dagger and gem late game is amazing.

If you've got a line-up that even in the slightest can excel at taking all T2's by 20-25 minutes, it's so fucking hard to lose. If not that, you just need a single teammate that can be moderately aggressive and reactionary (burst carry with mobility/blink for example) that benefits from you as a hero and you're an unstoppable mist enthusiast.

It's just a shame Abaddon will forever and ever be the shittier version of Omniknight, and will be an instant loss in any competitive game.

And yes, aether lens. No meme, insanely powerful and well-utilised.
