I've been getting mostly stomped by Nephs. They have so much follower destruction that doesn't care about how much defence you've stacked onto them, and then when it hits turn 8 you can't banish the Mordecais and heal face quickly enough even for a Seraph victory.

Why do people rate white paladin so highly in control sword?
I'm seeing it alongside Otohime in all of these sorts of decks, and they both look questionable.
Why run mass tokens without any way to buff the tokens?
Why call it a control deck when it has like 4 pieces of removal in it?
It just seems like you're setting yourself up for suicide vs the new good vamp cards, while having no board clears vs Daria?
Also just in general having no turn 1 play feels like you're just surrendering the board to any faster deck.

Don't liquify your cards in general. Between your welfare packs and the ez grab packs followed by all the added tickets and packs from getting 3-5 wins per ticket you'll have enough for about 4 budget decks from liquify extras that you glue together with golds and silvers to do ranked. Every week between cheevos, levelups, score rewards, dailies, and winning arena to double your money to buy more tickets you'll get about 10-20 packs a week. Within a month you can play knockoffs of about 12-ish decks and have most of a couple good decks on rng. Once you fill out most of your card pool the vials will start pouring in from the extras. From that play experience you'll know what you want and you'll be able to craft most of it from your liquified extras while still being able to play budgets of a bunch of other decks. Every expansion pack so far has revitalized a lot of the "dust it" cards. Discard dragon went from a funny meme like early dirt rune to a legitimate deck. Homecoming is good again burning the fags that melted it. Flute's got a niche with even more draw power in dragon.

Ambush and tyrant/atomeme both seem really unreliable, for people who like to occasionally get a really satisfying win when everything falls into place for them. Bolt and rose queen strike me as the kind of decks people desperately want to work because they don't want to vial the legos they rolled for it. Eidolon could work, but no one seems to play it, so I have no clue what to make of it. Dirt rune is legit, but seems so fucking slow and boring without any solid victory conditions. Control blood isn't a meme at all.

Lyrial's additional ping can vary from killing off a bat or a wounded follower or just set them down to a threshold for you to use your other removal. The closest comparison will be conjurer, but conjurer requires you to have another follower on board to do something.

Cocytus is the premium turn 5-play for this deck that can get you a fatty just like pact does in late game.

Sergeant and Soul Hunt to make sure you will always get Death's Breath ward up on turn 6.

From what I read about the article, the 3:2 distribution with morde and nep is just right and will brick less. 2 nep reduces the odds of you drawing morde and waste the fanfare for the third nep.

Old cards getting good again is pretty rare. I really struggle to imagine shit like Soul Dealer ever becoming even remotely relevant. With this expansion, they actually just powercreeped old, irrelevant legos instead of trying to make them relevant.

I'm all for being easy on the vial button and keeping cards that would work in deck types that might become relevant later, but there's a limit to how much you need to hoard. At least personally I'd prefer getting 1000 vials now than gambling on a tiny chance of being able to save 2500 vials sometime in the distant future because one of my utter fucking shit useless legos might possibly become relevant and used in a deck that I'll want to run.

Also, no one got burned on vialing Homecoming. They can craft it again for exactly the same amount of vials they got for dusting it.

One of the most fun uses I've had of Sahaquiel is using her in a ramp deck along with Satan and Bahamut. If you have the 3 of them in hand use sahaquiel to summon one of them and clear an enemy follower.
If you summoned Bahamut the opponent becomes afraid of overextending and leave the board clear for Satan.
If you summoned Satan the opponent will try to close out the game as fast as possible and vomit his shit on board so you can't safely summon satan, but then you drop bahamut on him.

It works all the fucking time.
