If you want that fixed they just need to add a hook length where if it exceeds that it automatically breaks, that would help with people running around corners as well. D.VA nerfs was too extreme. Her EHP is lowest it has ever been since launch.

Her damage falloff is still 10m so she now loses 68% of her damage if her target is farther away from her than that. Symm's microwave has a 12m range so a Symm can literally out tank a D.VA just by walking backwards while staying at max microwave range.

Hog's hook is wonky, the LoS system is a good change, but there is a secondary catch that makes it so that any object the target's hitbox comes into contact with causes the hook to break. So if Lucio's foot gets caught on a park bench or a lamp post on King's Row he is saved.

It's easy to say that but actually subverting it is harder than most people realize. Even with a relatively small number of characters in Overwatch compared to most MOBAs, balancing 23 different characters is a nightmare. If one character is being used much more than most of the rest of the cast it's far easier to nerf said character than buff 22 other ones in a manner that doesn't further unbalance the game.

I'm honestly pretty excited about that. People have been saying you can consistently one-shot Mei and Reaper as well which is a huge buff as they both can counter Hog and have hard escapes from a failed hook kill.

I think the hook break is currently overtuned and needs to be brought back a touch, but if the price is no more hooks dropping people at my sides or rear I think I can survive.

Roadhog hook is one of overwatch's keystone abilities, it is always working as intended. Neither of those matchups were ever meant to be direct counters to begin, the fact that they deliberately aren't being punished for duking at the last possible second anymore kind of proves that. Duking it like that requires more skill than landing it considering if hook had actually landed first their ability wouldn't have fired, and the netcode argument doesn't apply considering the topic of conversation is the fact that roadhog can no longer land hooks on tracers that aren't there anymore, and that's only if they can actually break line of sight, which if they do you were outplayed, as baiting roadhog to break his hook around a corner is now a valid tactic.

No. Opposite actually, there was a huge influx of new players at Christmas as you would expect.
Maybe people are just losing patience for the game. I know I've been leaving quick play when it looks like we're going to lose. Which is dumb I know, taking quick play seriously. But it's just frustrating when you run into the rerard team that can't break a defence, or let's themselves get harassed at spawn, or the enemy 4 or 5 stack who are obviously communicating because you can never get someone on their own without them calling their friends for help meaning half the time you're ending up in 1v2 or even 1v3 because your team can't stay alive against coordination.
I want to play, but it's not worth my time to carry on with an obvious loss in QP, may as well just leave and queue again

Takes the edge she has off on characters like Winston, McCree, Genji, Tracer, as well as in general making her weaker to everyone in general but less so for high burst damage like snipers, who always deal the most damage to her of course but in the past armor didn't matter to them much anyways, it was getting caught out

Thermal clothing is actually commonly tight. You don't want a lot of air in your itght clothing, it loses heat too fast. Though she should be wearing something like jogging pants over them but Overwatch.

Can any pro genji break down when to use M1 versus the fanned M2 shuriken?

It looks like M2 is useless unless you are point blank tanding all 3 shots to the face, correct?
But some guide said M2 is your "bread and butter" used more than M1, what gives?

Yeah, thatd be great, except they arent doing that so now theres a cheesy way to avoid getting hooked by sliding around a corner

Like theres no reason a hog shouldnt be able to hook people who are in LOS, and breaking LOS after he lands the hook within LOS shouldnt be a reason for the hook to "break."
