Its probably considered the rarest because they're not taking into account promo and legacy emblems. Greetings Guardians!
Welcome to 2017, a potentially important year for our community. We've just hit 300,000 subscribers for our little subreddit, so the mod team wanted to reach out and make this post as a celebration.
While the game isn't that old, this subreddit was created by /u/Cozmo23 (Happy Birthday!) on Wednesday, the 5th of October, 2012. Since then, we've seen Destiny go from an announcement in a ViDoc, to an Alpha, Beta, Launch and then with many changes and additions along the way, evolve to what the game is right now.
The journey has had its ups and downs, controversies and celebratory moments, but that has been what makes the Destiny community special. Outsiders have asked why we still play. But we know what the game is and what it has become. And we also know the potential it has going forward!
While we seem to have a lot of lurkers (our average monthly unique users is still over 1,000,000 for the previous year), hitting the magical number of 300,000 is a pretty important milestone.

So we hope you, the community, are proud of the group we've built up here on reddit, we are one of the most active Destiny communities in the world, and that wouldn't be possible without all of you.

The Eliksni had a mighty empire much like the Arabs of our history. Complete with lots of tech, niceties, and the backing of The Traveler. Now they are nomadic, tribal, and extremist in their ways because The Traveler used them for its own gain against the Hive/Darkness. They were left with nothing but scraps after being nearly wiped out. Useful idiots, if you will.
The Traveler sought protection with a new emerging superpower in the Sol system. Much like the western culture of our own time-line, advances in technology and society caught the eye of an omnipresent force with shrouded intent.
The Traveler buffed up the people of the Sol system to use them against the wave of shit it has coming for it. The people of Earth were needed to clean up the mess with The Eliksni The Traveler dicked over, and also take care of that super-evil darkness that is spreading throughout the cosmos.
The Eliksni sweep in and invade Earth in a bid to retake their benefactor. The Hive show up to destroy the light of the Traveler, and all those corrupted by it because it goes against everything they base their existence on.

Meanwhile, Rasputin aka /our guy/ watches the story unfold and realizes something isn't right. The Traveler attempts to leave the mess it created again in a bid to save its own skin. However, Rasputin recognizes that The Traveler contains a wealth of technology and power that can be beneficial to the existence of the people it was made to protect at all costs. When the Traveler attempts its final betrayal, Rasputin steps up and BTFOs the would be deceptor. Allegedly.
Before The Traveler is annihilated it bursts a great wave of light and roughly 6 gorillion ghosts to preserve its "legacy" and have an ace in the hole, should it ever be allowed to regain its full power.
Rasputin puts himself into hiding underground as there is nothing left he can do at this time, with humanity near its end, and The Traveler crippled. The ghosts start waking up creatures to fight “for humanity and save it from the brink of death.” These warriors take up arms against the invading Fallen and push them back enough to reclaim holy land under The Traveler.

Fallen attacks are reduced to hit and run tactics and small scale operations. Some have been taken under the wing of fringe beings that straddle the line of light and dark, as if the Eliksni could be controlled by fundamentally different beings. This is evident as the Awoken become victim of the Fallen terrorist attack, lulled into a false sense of security, while they believed that the Eliksni could co-exist with a form of humanity. You even have bug huggers who see the Fallen as misunderstood space refugees, and despite nearly wiping out the history and the existence of humanity at their darkest hour the Eliksni need our help.
Humanity and Eliksni are both pawns in the plan of that great orb in the sky, so in a sense the bug huggers have a point about helping each other to get answers and reasoning from The Traveler. However, the Fallen have proven time and time again to be savages and have no intent of co-habitation. They are a brutal caste society to the core, viewing humanity as inferior, as infidels. They have their dregs, the thieves and desperate, docked of a set of their arms, much like thieves are liberated of their hands in Arab cultures.

Now you have Guardians, the warriors of The Travelers light, running free throughout the solar system. They blindly follow the word of the Speaker and the will of the light for a long time. Any Guardian to question the word and the will is publicly shunned and excommunicated. We even see instances where the Speaker tasks Guardians with tracking down dangerous thinkers, ie Saint-14 v Osiris. The story of how The Traveler got blasted is vague at best, Guardians are told “the darkness did this, now go kill these things because reasons. In its dieing breath muh 6 gorillion Ghosts.” So you have Guardians of questionable intent meddling in things such as /our guys/ bunker. As Zavala put it, they were scattered across the Cosmodrome. The Iron Lords got BTFOd when Rasputin had enough of their shit, and showed them first hand how dangerous SIVA is.
Queue our Guardian. At first you're kind of thrust into a world where this floating thing is telling you to do stuff and to get somewhere because he said so. Then as you're given a glimpse of the bigger picture, you simply take on the biggest threats in the moment. Along the way, your curiosity helps Rasputin. Not meddling, not picking and prying, not malice, but genuine good intent. Your ghost has an admiration for Rasputin, despite being the creation of The Traveler getting the long dick of Rasputin law. Allegedly. Which means your personal Ghost maybe has no knowledge or orders of The Travelers shrouded intent. Where other ghosts and guardians have been obliterated by Rasputin, you and yours would surely have suffered the same fate at some point in your journey if Rasputin sensed you are a threat.

Aside from the test of /our guy/ you are put through the ringer by everyone and time and time again, you emerge victorious and ever powerful. You have further pushed back the invasion of the Sarac... FALLEN, you have halted the efforts of the Vex by destroying the heart in the Black Garden and Atheon, Killed a family of Hive Gods, overcame the abuse of SIVA under the Fallen Splicers direction, tested yourself in the Iron Banner, and burned bright in the Trials of Osiris. The Trials ultimately determine whether or not you can face other powerful guardians in close personal combat and be victorious. You are now ready to face threats both foreign and domestic, and win.
Destiny 2 will likely give more definative answers. As of now it seems that The Traveler has operated in societies for a very long time, being pushed out because of its behavior and ideals that go against the very nature of life. It undermines cultures and societies by giving power to those without, and using those with power by giving them just enough more power, to be useful to serve its agenda. Much like the Jew.

We will likely see The Tower with “Fallen Welcome” signs up, and any guardians who wish to keep them out will be in the wild operating in the shadows, or eradicated. The Ahamkara will be labeled a symbol of hate and bigotry. Rasputin will be shut down and buried as a threat to “modern liberal ideologies.” Humanity rises up and REMOVE ETHER, or humanity is destroyed from the inside out. Think about it. Supposedly our characters, the most powerful Guardian to ever be brought back to life, will not carry over to Destiny 2. Wasn't the Great War against the Darkness? The loss of the System and the Collapse. Exo Grimoire talks about them being built for a long forgotten war. We know Bray managed to transfer human consciousness into robot frames, they retain their personalities after mind wipes, and that the Ishtar Collective was able to transfer themselves into frames (one of them potentially being the Stranger), and they were built on Europa, maybe we'll "find" Deep Stone Crypt in the future.

It was another battle, this time a Control battle in the Exodus Best, with DonThyDone on Alpha team this time as his teammates were Zippy100012, Enji_n3rd, a random female Titan, and StuartRae92 while Bravo Team were xInterReborn, MattWGordon, Growliff, ApplePython, and Kite17, all of which were trying to get the most control points. The Alpha team had 2 points capped while the bravo team had 1 cap.
"Come on, you guys!" DonThyDong exclaimed, this time being in a blue colored shader and wearing his regular Trials gear. "We can beat these guys!"

As stated, 375 is a good starting point, but you'll lose shotgun battles noticeably more, often leaving your enemy with a sliver of health. Certain weapons will kill you faster/with fewer headshots at 375- pulses, some scouts, etc.
It's not too bad, but you'd best keep your aggression in check. At least run strikes until 385, it won't take long.

No way, anon. It doesn't matter for Infusion but what about getting a good roll on a gun? A good Party Crasher. Matador. Eyasluna. Whatever other gun the Crucible offers. I wouldn't know cause I've never gotten shit. Max rolled Ghosts as well. They added in the Crimson Doubles ghosts into the loot table but the drop rate seems to be as low as what it was back when Crimson Doubles first came out. Which was atrocious.
Of course, a lot of this is hyperbole. I'm just annoyed that I've literlly gotten 3 of the same damn Marks in the past 12 or whatever games. Not even max rolled, even though I don't need one.

A. Networking. Make friends with people and they'll come knocking for raid time.
B. Recognize the absolute shit-tier players like joff and shun the shit out of them. No reason harming your reputation via association.
C. Become known for getting raids done. Experience is key here but its, hopefully, an eventuality not a hope.
D. Play on PS4. We get raids done several times a week if not more and most of us have it down to enough of an art that 40 minutes is the general goal whereas xbone raids take upwards of 2 hours and seem to spontaneously combust for no reason ontop of also being HIV positive and refusing to wear condoms for their own pleasure.

You can max a subclass fairly quickly, I did so after I switched over from 360 to One and it fucking wiped half of my stats for some reason. The only one I can't grind up is Crota rep, and I lost access to the cool predawn or whatever shader.
I grinded up Striker and Voidwalker fairly easily.
