I just got a crazy idea for a hero ability.
Shadow of the Past
Enemy heroes trail an image that lags behind them by 5 second. The image is only visible when you(the hero that has this ability) are within 900/1200/1500/1800 range of it and you have vision on it. Spells and attacks aimed at an image will hit the main hero.

With the illusions change to gain attack speed i usually skip armlet due to the free 15 attack speed doesn't seem like much, but you can burst people down with his high raw damage and 2.9 str gain. Illusions+echo sabre reality rift auto then stun auto usually kills anyone unfortunate to get caught in it.

Nyx can fuck up Tinker (Batrider too) by going to the march with carapace. Instant disables are decent against Ember and Storm, Skywrath comes to mind, Disruptor isn't bad either.

For position 4 or 5 I feel like their skills rarely win fights by themselves. The closest is maybe Veno, since if you get the ulti and gale off before dying it tends to have high impact if the enemy can't just walk off.

Icefrog's dota was NEVER balanced on sentinel/dire. Sentinel/dire was a legacy of guinsoo. Thus we generalize these 2 creators thus in malaysia :-

guinsoo is black/white. The specialist heroes, no one will mistake that heroes role. There is balance on radiance/sentinel
icefrog is gray. The hybrid heroes, neither here nor there jack of all trades. personally i only play 1 or 2 of the new heroes icefrog introduced.

Example :-

CM - aoe (used to be the same as lich), cc, mana, high dmg ulti aoe
Lich - aoe, buff, mana, high dmg ulti

Lina/Lion
DK/CK
Centaur/Magnataur
TS/Kotl (his ulti summons fenixs)
Sven/SnK

etc etc kinda boring. However bear in mind it was icefrog's version that made dota popular. Dota was just ONE OF the 'Three Corridors' spinoff when icefrog took over. 3 Corridors btw is the true grandfather of this genre. Not dota. Ppl who coin the term MOBA etc after dota lol etc are prolly not even aware of '3 corridors'. The map as u might have guessed is 3 corridors with a single pathway right in the middle connecting all 3 corridors. Current towers and barracks placement also originate from 3 corridors. Item upgrades too. Though there were stats boosters (unlimited quantity) and mercenaries to help with last hitting which were not continued by others.
