With Waver do you think it's better to run Waver + Mashu or Waver + a healer (my Jeanne is NP2) since whilst Mashu + Waver can make your units take minimal damage over time I'm noticing that your health will still be chipped away.

Rin showing up would mean her reacting to stuff and the characters she knows. Ishtar doesn't do that for anything or anyone. She never once addresses anything as Rin. Not once. She may behave with Rin's mannerisms, but the character's entire history is obviated. If you wanted to see Rin interacting with anyone from the point of view of Rin, she offers absolutely nothing.

He brings up that all Heroes, even those chosen by prophecy or those hybrids like demi-gods live a period they behave or act or are human, before they lose their humanity and embrace their role as heroes, kings, whatever you have. Solomon was different. Solomon was born king with all those gifts. He was born as God's agent and vessel, who was not allowed to have even his own opinions of things. He was an inhuman hero since birth. He never had this formative period of other heroes that lead to their transition. He was like that since he was born.

The story of Solomon was, in other words, the story of a Heroic Spirit who becomes a real human bean. That's why I'm against to add him as a Servant, completely shitting on his choices and how he finally got out this fuckery. Solomon and Goetia started the same: as systems. But Goetia was allowed to do as he pleased while Solomon wasn't. Solomon died while Goetia was immortal. I can continue with the differences, but they were set as foils because their existences were identical.

The Three Families sought to open a gateway to the Root to bring forth miracles, but at the end of Heaven's Feel, the representatives from each - Rin, Illya, and Sakura/Zouken - were all in agreement that it was time to bring it to an end. It was a failure from the start. Illya, in her last moments, is full of joy, and is able to free everyone to carry on with a life of contentment. Zouken and Kirei both die with smiles on their faces. Shirou is free from his ideal.

Where? Who? Is "she behaves vaguely the same if she were to encounter vaguely similar things but wouldn't recognize them or address them as Rin would" suppossed to be a counterargument?

This is nothing but straw-grasping special pleading. "Rin" doesn't even address Archer as someone she knows, much less Illya or Saber or anyone else. She's just another character who behaves with the same mannerisms, but there is not a single occasion where she acts like she's Fuyuki's Tohsaka Rin or addresses anyone as Rin. That doesn't change. Pretending this counts as a continuation of Rin's character in the way Waver does is complete bullshit.

She doesn't recognize the things Rin would, she has nothing to offer to Rin's character, she makes no reference whatsoever to Rin doing anything at any point save commenting on how compatible they are. So what's the tradeoff here? It's literally a new character they slapped her face and mannerisms on. This isn't "twice the content" as someone was arguing before, it's half. You don't get a new personality and design for the new character, but you also don't get any of the interactions and development you'd expect from the old one.

You guys can take this line a little less literally when its explained in the final flashback when Da Vinci and Roman. Its not that he was a will-less robot with no ability to choose for himself, its not even that he has no freedom, otherwise entire parts of the game fall part and contradict. Its just that he was never allowed to be human. Yes he is the same as Arthuria, except its if Arthuria was born king rather than becoming it. Other heroes weren't born as heroes, they got to be kids at one point, but he was born as the king.

Yes he did within the text choose something that we know wasn't god's choice. That's kind of the point of him ending the age of gods. It was ending that shit by using Ars Nova, and the game even proceeds to say that once the miracles will returned to God, the world will be "Governed by the laws of men's reasons, psychics/science." Solomon is indeed super important agent of miracles, mystery but also reason. All stages of history. Roman was the embodiment of this third stage. He's even a doctor, yo. It's a stunningly done arc.
