Should I but V for PS3? Online still active outside of Japan?
>>
>>164675365
>Should I but V for PS3
If you mean opposed to the 360, then yes. PS3 is more active.

Game is still pretty dead overall if you don't network, but that's what /acg/ is for.

Also make sure you get Verdict Day, not V. V's server got shut down, but Verdict Day (the sequel) is still up.
>>
>>164675365
Play online with Verdict Day. V is completely dead and has no servers active anymore except for peer-to-peer free battle.

If you want to play V for the single player, it's fine. It's not very good, and you would be better just watching the story mission gameplay videos (including cutscenes) than spending the money, so that's up to you. I assume since you haven't played it yet, you're probably not so strong of a fan that you -need- it.
>>
>>164668902
They replaced that with hard/hardcore mode in 4/FA/VD.

V had the (excellent) multiplayer bosses, though they were almost impossible to attempt offline.
>>
>>164680934
They're literally impossible to attempt offline.
Well, really, it's more accurate to say they're literally impossible to attempt because they're gone forever thanks to the servers shutting down.

Something like that could be really practical for automating warehouse duties that are currently done by hand, and other general automation machines. Most robots are highly specialized but something like this could be used in many industries for cheaper, thanks to economies of scale.

all they need is to increase the power of the hydraulics, and increase the balance and stabilization of the legs. I hold that making it a quadruped would do that far better, while giving it mobility above just giving it tank legs.

I'm sorry, but I'd have to say no. I wish ACV was a little cheaper, as it doesn't feel as worth it without the online superbosses.
>>
>>164721681
At that price? Hell no. Try looking for a cheaper copy because while some of the mission levels are cool (the city ones specifically), it's not worth 30 bucks.
>>
>>164722372
>>164722528
I should mention that 30 dollars in my country is actually 21 burgerbux.

What went wrong with it?
>>
>>
>>164724001

It was too experimental for its time, has frame rate issues, doesn't really have stellar optional missions, contains a weird part balance where some weapons aren't that viable, has no online except for online multiplayer, and to really top it off I don't think you can even download patches anymore.

It has some of the coolest villains though, and the main singleplayer missions are pretty rad. But other than that, ehhhhhhh.
>>
>>164721681
Only if you have played all the PS2 titles first and really just need more AC content. The difference between ACV and ACVD is so great that you're better off buying or emulating an older game to get the same feeling than paying full price.

ACV's single player isn't bad, but it's not nearly as good as VD. The cutscenes are great though, so watch those on youtube or something.

Two questions for FA:

1. If I am using an energy weapon-arm, does the "energy weapon skill" value have any effect on that arm's damage?

2. Does the "turning ability" value have any affect in the air, or is it just for when your legs are touching the ground?

>>164711445
Worst company since Technocrat.
>>
>>164732754
>1. If I am using an energy weapon-arm, does the "energy weapon skill" value have any effect on that arm's damage?

Yes it does.

>2. Does the "turning ability" value have any affect in the air, or is it just for when your legs are touching the ground?

Turning ability does affect you in the air. Although it's not really worth investing your tuning points into it.
>>
>>164734121
Thank you. Why isn't turning worth investing in?
>>
>>164734781
Because quick-turning exists.
>>
>>164732754
1. Yes. 120 = 120% damage. 80 = 80% damage for all energy weapons.

2. Yes. It will also affect the speed of your quick-turn when boosting. It's worth investing points if you're playing on the extreme edges of your turning capability (like trying to do 180 degree quick turns for jousting) but otherwise not that useful.
>>
>>164734781
>>164734121
Also, you can use stabilizers to speed up your turning in one direction. If you are heavily left-loaded, you will turn faster to the left, I think. It might be the opposite, but +10 in either direction does change your balance of turning speed.
>>
>>164691835

>>
>>164742056
>Are you still stuck super low to the ground in Verdict Day?
Only if you suck and don't git gud at the movement mechanics. VD honestly feels faster than FA in a lot of cases once you master it all.
>>
>>164742056
VD is faster than FA because it is at much closer range.

>>164742834
So its still super low to the ground then?
>>
>>164743527
Watch the video and judge for yourself. VD and V is higher in the air than every AC game except for 4/FA.

If you want to play 4/FA style, you should play Murakumo: Renegade Mech Pursuit, Project Nimbus, Zone of the Enders, Another Century's Episode, or any of the many of the Gundam titles out there.

Verdict Day is probably one of the best AC games, and definitely the best one on the PS3 generation.

V's single player isn't that bad. I appreciate it for what it was trying to do, there's definitely more of a dark souls / demon souls influence with the story missions being like full levels to explore with items and enemies to discover. Unfortunately the missions were so linear and poorly designed that it was more of an annoyance to try and complete subquests than a fun atmosphere to explore.

The cutscenes and voice acting is also hilariously good. Chief is fantastic. But you can get that from youtube, without needing to buy the game and suffer the bad missions to reach it.

DS2 and SOTFS were done by the same devs behind ACVD, and it really shows.

It's more equipment-based rather than stats based, the parts mix and match better, there's more content overall (even if the quality is lower) the overall mechanics are vastly improved over DS1 (especially with varying frame ranges and animations instead of everything being identical no matter what your build is), stamina management is a lot more important, it has proper dual wielding, it's generally better balanced for PvP than DS3 (still worse multiplayer balance than ACV/VD though) etc.

But then it also has a lot of the flaws of AC. It's a quantity > quality approach, the levels don't really flow or connect to eachother and feel more like 'missions', the bosses play more like giant mobs /turrets rather than bosses trying to kill you. Most of the weapons have identical movesets with just slightly different stats.

You can also see little things between Tanimura (DS2, AC2/3/5) and Miyazaki (DS1/3, AC4). Like how in AC4 and DS1/3 the armor parts don't really mix well together and seem to be only designed as sets, but in ACV and DS2 the parts are a lot more interchangeable and look better when mixed up.

AC games are a really popular alternative to gundam, and definitely have their niche. I don't think AC could compete with Gundam in other media, but I'm sure Bandai wouldn't want it to try. Model kits are probably the only area where they do compete outside of games.
>>
>>164814808
The future of AC lies in a mobile game, going ala Interior Union with just female pilots, that are all moe and cheap waifu material.
>>
>>164815185
NO.

Don't even joke about that shit.
>>
>>164815797
The player would be called "operator" as you command the girls to take on missions and provide intel, with a focus on the arena instead of any real war, to leave room for low quality comedy and shipping either with the player or full on the yuri side, the events would about retaking a beach during summer, defending a base during valentine, inspecting a tower on halloween, having a arena torunament during christmas, and more.

Anime?

Oh man, a Verdict Day anime would be a godsend. I would love it if they explored the idea that V takes place after FA and sprinkle in little references like fallen cradles and ruined NEXTs. Hell, continue to follow Caesar Venide and show Venide's rise to power and their battles with Sirius.
>>
>>164823864
Sounds rad, if that ever were to happen it has to be handled very carefully and not sink into moe or idolshit. Also it would be kind of cool to explore the infantry's perspective on the ground as AC's/drones/walkers fight around them.
>>
>>164809730
Normal people on the majority of the surface probably barely just sketch a living better than people who live in Command & Conquer Tiberium Yellow/Red zones, or any other post-butnotreally-apocalyptic lifestyle in fiction. There's probably a huge rat race involved for regular people trying to join the corporations in an attempt to seek better lives/try to get the fuck away from radiation-heavy zones. All the people who couldn't catch a ride on a Cradle years ago most likely migrated to Line Ark, but I'm sure there's still pockets of small to medium sized settlements scattered all over the world that risk annihilation if a corporation were to ever set their eyes upon them.

It's sorta fucked on how fast the world transitioned from 4 to FA in just what, five or ten years? Damn, I need to replay FA.
>>
>>164824213
Imagine being a ground trooper and hearing that all to familiar crunch of an AC landing. It must be insane to watch an AC sortie from the ground.
>>
>>164823864
I have actually think on something like that, mostly if they focus on Caesar's father, since he mentioned he was the one that build Venide.

Following the games tradition, the MC is just called by his callsing or just "mercenary" by others, but at the end of the serie is revelead that his name is Venide, after all the events of the anime probably showing why he wants to build Venide and make it a meritocracy, and show what "help" did he get from Chief and Carol.

No peace princess or similar.
>>
>>164824704
Final boss is him an the Dark Raven fighting chief in a severely damaged White Glint. It would be a great way to set up Black Glint's existence and why how Foundation Man got it.
>>
>>164824589
The AC4 intro always makes me rock hard at the moment you see that infantryman watching as Supplice does flybys around the area.
>>
>>164824448
It gets even more fucked when you think that all the people you saved in 4's Sol Dios mission probably died from Kojima poisoning being leaked out from the dead proto Arms Forts.
>>
>>164824589
If they make a anime, I have always wanted a that the Main pilot to have a team, working more on cities and or attacking bases, the AC stops any heavy stuff and reinforment from attacking the troopers, while his team invade the base to take, destroy, kill their target and escape while the AC defends them from the rest. VD would be great for that.
>>
>>164824882
Final boss is attacking the answerer that is being repaired, is not yet fit to leave the ground and is stationary, but most weapons are functional and you can recognize the shape under the construction.
>>
>>164825189
I always thought the idea of an anime that follows a Storker and each episode is him working with a new merc and watching that merc suceed or fail in their missions.
>>
>>164824589
>this guy's balls of steel for aiming at an AC while it's boosting
Man the ACV trailer made me want to have an FPS spin off title where you play as an infantryman. From doesn't even keep up with mainline AC titles though so that happening is a distant dream. Also the risk of it being a CoD clone.
>>
>>164825461
>>

The Cabracan mission actually takes place in "the former colony of Sing." It's mentioned in an easy to miss tiny info blurb when you're accepting the mission.

Basically, the Sol Dios mission in 4 is confirmed to have been a Pyrrhic victory. You destroyed the doomsday machines, but the colony was destroyed anyway.

Was Oldking a disgruntled Line Arkman?

I mean, there's not exactly anything to do about that. The best you can do is weather it out and not respond to it, but given modern Anon's propensity towards not ignoring things and responding to things that already have responses, even if some of those responses were samefagged by the poster, it's not something that you can expect.
Any involvement is just going to make things worse.

Line Ark was an sovereign state that was made up of just about anyone surviving in the surface who opposes the corporations, and was the largest non-League power capable of doing so. However, their accepting of anyone who wishes to join has apparently led to extreme corruption on the part of their government and probably everything else.

It is, unfortunately, way too easy if you have a decent radar. It was the first mission I was "disappointed" with in AC4 when I was just following the radar, killed a few missiles, then realized... that's it. That was the mission. I didn't even fight an MT.

Can't say I was ever too fond of 'em myself regardless. They were on borrowed time even with White Glint because the League never really gave two shits about them besides very basic periodic negotiations. It's all about oneupping the other corps, baby.
>>
>>164832634
Earlier in the process, more arms forts would have been available for combat. So Old King and Strayed would have likely been cornered by AFs, instead of relying on other AC pilots. It's also likely they wouldn't have taken them quite as serious as a threat without seeing him destroy the AFs first, so they wouldn't throw everything at them at once.

Unilateral coordinated attacks of AFs, which, in FA's universe, were likely weak enough to be destroyed by the two. It would have been a -lot- more devastating for the corporation's plans.

It's likely this would have completely destabilized the closed plan before it went off the ground, and other Orca ACs would have joined Strayed and Old King's "rebellion".

I don't see an outcome of this where line ark survives. Either Old King targets it next, the corporations now enlist white glint to stop strayed and fail, or it tears itself apart from the internal conflict that was brewing already, without the white glint death to unify it. Line Ark is doomed, and so are the arteria facilities, likely.
>>
>>164841974

I am not sure how the AFs work for the craddles, they protect shit on the ground maybe, but maybe some of the proto-ORCA could join Line Ark to pull a twisted version of the plan, using Line Ark as base of sorts.

I feel they were waiting for Line Ark to fall to release ORCA
>>
>>164839670
Line Ark tried to be an isolated closed-border state in a world with global trade and corporate power plays. Bad move.

Corruption is bad, but is necessary to maintain peace, in ACFA.
>>
>>164842095
I mean the AFs would be used after Old King started shooting down the cradles, the corporations would start sending AFs after Old King and Strayed instead of the 5-AC team up.

That would have been a major mistake, since it would give Strayed and Old King plenty of time to tear through their AFs and gain more support, instead of stopping them in a single-all-out-AC-assault without any sympathetic possibility.

ORCA was fully planned by Omer from the get-go. As for personnel, you had your original core of 5 (Max, Nidus, Julius, Shinkai, and Malzel) who were together from the start, and then slowly they recruited more and more NEXT-owning criminals into the fold. Hell, you even see them in the process of recruiting Patch the Good Luck, although his skill-level was not nearly up to ORCA's standard and he died taking Buppa with him.

Seeing that the extreme genocide, probably the league will work alongside Line Ark, even if just to corner and kill the 2, I doubt they will reach friendly terms afterwards, but with Strayed death (If they really could kill him) Linek Ark would survive since White Glint would still be alive, but the league will try to use Oldking and Strayed as a excuse to attack line ark harder since they cant leave such independats groups alone anymore.

because most people dont play it long enough to love.
>>
>>164889941
There's a lot of reasons.

First and foremost is the genre limitation. Mech games, in particular, are one of the genres that are impossible to break out of. The average person will buy an RPG game without "looking" for an RPG. No one buys a mech game unless they are actively seeking a mech game. Even racing sims and sports games manage to sell outside of their niche better than mech games.

The only way to break out of the mech genre limitation is to add "mechs" as a side feature to a game that is mostly a FPS/RPG/steal/puzzle/etc game, like Titanfall or Metal Gear Solid.

The next biggest issue is marketing. Not just advertisements (or lack thereof) but how well a game's design and mechanics lend itself to multiplying it's appeal. Armored Core has almost no clarity in its appeal. You have to play and invest time in order to figure out what is special about it. This is the 'spin' the a marketing campaign is built around. Something like Dark Souls has very obvious appeal: It's a really hard fantasy RPG, and you get punished for dying. That's something it can claim that few games have, and an entire marketing campaign can be easily built around that because the game mechanics demonstrate it well.

AC has tried this before, but the spin was always a lot weaker. PS2 games were heavily sold on the value prop of "TONS OF CUSTOMIZATION" which few games had at that time, but as games got more sophisticated, having "400 weapons" became less of a feature. AC4 probably did it best, because just looking at a few seconds of gameplay immediately shows the appeal: pure speed. AC5's marketing campaign was actually pretty good, as it was built around the "heavy" satisfaction of physically crushing, smashing, and breaking things in multiplayer. VD's marketing was a disaster because they got rid of that and tried to make it more about the AI customization, which was so complicated that it didn't even make sense to most players, much less to people watching ads.
>>
>>164889941
The next major problem with AC is how it is received in reviews. The learning curve makes its value proposition extremely obfuscated. When people see ads for a game but don't understand it, they look at the reviews. So while AC could survive having confusing or vague ads, it can't survive mediocre reviews.

Most reviews happen on "vertical stacks", where a reviewer will play a single level that demonstrates all the values of the game and gives the reviewer an idea how the whole game works.

AC's heavy customization and steep learning curve for skill is a problem. And worse, the more advanced the series got, the higher those skill caps are. To compensate From has made the NPCs and missions of most games comparably easier than the past games, since it's harder to quickly pick up the games when things like quickboost, PA, and KE/TE/CE damage is added, since they require more practice and knowledge to figure out.

In the PS1 demo discs, they used to have the player set up with an already fantastic mech, making it so you can play the demo right away without looking at menus first, and still see how fun it is.

This means that AC requires a lot of investment to get an accurate review of, and that means that most outlets just simply won't review it. It's noted that while many places didn't review AC4 or ACFA, after Dark Souls got some press coverage, AC5 was reviewed by many publications. This probably hurt AC more than it helped, because while they sold lots of copies of AC5, there was a lot of disappointment and poor reviews that lead to no one buying DLC or ACVD and for the online activity to drop off very fast.

So what would From Software have to do, to make the next AC, probably a reboot, a success?
If the rumors about a dark-fantasy souls-like mech game are wrong and it's a classical AC, aren't they totally screwed because the reputation of the franchise is already down the shitter?
>>
>>164902031
Just make it dark souls but scaled up.
Honestly I could see it working. A giant open world with factions fighting each other and just stick the player in middle of it. Extra parts are gained by exploring, with bits of the world being opened up by extra parts like legs that can jump further.

It wouldn't be very good, but it'd sell.

just scale it up and make it match the world of AC

insted of a bunch of bodies, you have big weapons or enemies "bodies" all around, for bigger impact use huge things like those arms fort you see on V and that are everywhere on VD, or more AC remains, like in the first mission of V when you go on a tunnel and see like 6-7 ACs destroyed by Fran's Father.

So, have you ever done a role play save?

I don't mean RP as in tabletop, but picking a certain type of build and sticking with it

I had a cowboy build, which consisted of a shotgun, two pistols and no back weapons with quadlegs.

I think an easy way to make the next Armored Core game successful would be to make the multiplayer portion of the game free to play and grindy as fuck, then sell the single player mode, lots of exclusive AC parts, and a complete removal of the excessive multiplayer grind as one reasonably priced package.

As far as the single player goes I'd like to see a rather high budget and lengthy campaign in a setting that ramps up the post apocalyptic element of armored core with the player pilot just starting out as a random scavenger fixing up some mech, the player would start out using slower, clunkier mechs in a more souls-like open world, and the early gameplay emphasizing melee combat due to ammo scarcity, as the player progresses through the game they'd slowly gain access to more advanced, agile, firearm-heavy machines.

As the player character goes from random idiot to professional pilot the game would go from a more open world format to the classic mission based format due to the player getting hired by various entities, with the scale of missions getting larger and larger, with lots of great boss fights, I'd love for it to eventually end up in space, with unique mechanics and controls related to zero G.

It should have some generic reboot title, either Just call it Armored Core or a completely new series title, don't put off the new audience by implying it's part of a series and confusing them.

I think we can all agree that if it's just a standard AC sequel it's only going to appeal to the fanbase and sell too poorly to get another game for quite a few years.
>>
>>164934282
That could work, add in a segment where the player serves in the infantry for an organization and we're all set.
>>
>>164935997
I was thinking it'd be cool to have some non-mech combat as well as long as it's not the main focus.

Fromsoft pls let us eject from our mecha and keep fighting in powered armor
>>
>>164936180

So, titanfall with better bots?
>>
>>164936451
Nah, this would still play like AC, with massive environments, heavily customized mechs, said mechs being less disposable than titans, and the powered armor not being a huge threat to nexts flying through the sky.
It'd be just a secondary feature to more typical Armored Core gameplay, like how the single player in these games has lots of guys in powered armor and tiny shitbots trying to shoot you it'd be cool if the multiplayer had a mode with tons of players that made players who got their best machine destroyed respawn in powered armor or whatever, maybe with AI across the map, something with a much larger scale than Titanfall or the typical AC multiplayer, though a 1v1 mode should also be included.
>>
>>164936180
>eject

>>
>>164936997
Chromehounds let you come back as an infantryman when you died in a match. It was kind of like when you come back as a pilot in V/VD, only it was actually useful. In V you just go straight to spectator mode or maybe take some screenshots since you can't do anything useful. In Chromehounds, information was actually really crucial, so it was common for dead players to run across the map as infantry and set up a spotting position on the hills somewhere and relay info to the other players. If they added more in depth infantry controls and weapons, and maybe the ability to commandeer the allied NPC MTs, it would basically be exactly what you're suggesting.
>>
>>164902031
1. They would have to build a more obvious mechanical appeal for marketing and first impressions. Whether this is speed like ACFA or kicking like ACV, it needs to be obvious at a glance what makes it different from something like Titanfall, in a way that seems better.

2. They need a outside-genre appeal, beyond just the 'Mech' genre. I think Titanfall is a good example of using the shooter genre to sell a mech game. I think AC could do the same with RPGs, using more of a traditional RPG mechanic (with leveling up, items, as well as upgrades). It would change some of the things that make AC unique, but it would let it break out of the genre limitation.

3. They need a much more progressive learning curve, closer to what AC3 had. Start off with fighting easier enemies, with a weaker mech, introduce more complex mechanics later on. The first few missions should just be about how to lock on, how to walk about, etc.

I don't think the reputation of the series is bad, I think it's seen fondly, but that doesn't translate well to sales.
>>
>>164902219
>>164903994
I don't think it would have to follow dark souls.

AC3, SL, and AC4 had mission, atmosphere, and level design on-par with Dark Souls, but that was dropped for ACFA, ACV, and ACVD.

Swarm of Red Eyes is probably the best example. It's an early mission where you focus on a single mechanic, basic targeting, Follow that up with a timed mission where you have to boost across a large distance, so players understand how to move faster. It's the equivalent of Dark Soul's Undead Asylum, where they give you an enemy and your items one at a time to focus on one mechanic without being locked into a 'tutorial'.'
>>
>>164934282
>would be to make the multiplayer portion of the game free to play and grindy as fuck

These are the type of ideas that cause franchises to die.

AC just needs a compelling single player with an online arena mode with actual matchmaking systems instead of manually having to seek out lobbies.

There needs to be a single option for "looking for Co-Op" or "Looking for Vs" that matches you up with someone else online currently waiting, and it should stay active while you are in the garage customizing your AC.

You should be able to matched up with a lobby while the lobby is still currently in combat, and just join them after the match is over.

There should be single player missions allow for multiplayer co-op or vs by replacing NPC ACs with player characters.

Have a "number of players online" counter, too.
These are simple multiplayer mechanics that other companies figured out 15 years ago but From hasn't.

From what I know, it's a phenomenon known as "zoning."
You subconsciously slip into the zone and then you're on fire, but once you realize you're zoning, you fall out hard.
Funny enough, there's actually some statistical data taken from various sports, basketball was the prime example when I was listening to the report, which shows that the moment you think you're hottest is actually when you're playing at your worst. I'll go dig it up.
>>
>>164928078
Okay, so the people I've played DDR with call it zoning, but in the sports world it's called "hot hand." If you've got about an hour, here's the entire episode.

This would probably add a lot of unnecessary development complexity, and probably take resources away from things that really need fixed, first.

I'd rather they scaled back and focused on making a simple but fun game than try to keep pushing this whole big multiplayer clusterfuck that V and VD were, because that's how you end up with bad reviews and low sales.

Let them experiment after they've reformulated the games to something simple and high quality and easy to develop for.

FA felt fast but was really slow gameplay. It was floaty and enemies didn't move around much, and you 'hung' in the air a lot. Enemies also had lots of HP so you spent most of the game (and online) doing the same thing over and over again.

Good for first timers, but going back it feels really gimmicky and poorly designed, to me.

V/VD was a lot faster combat with tighter controls, even though you were close to the ground and didn't have insane overboost, because you were smaller and also able to kill enemies faster.

Why does this idea trigger you two?
Did you even read the rest of that post?

The grind would be removed by simply buying the rest of the game at the same price you'd get it for anyway, except this way the multiplayer wouldn't die months after release, a lot more people would know the game exists, and it'd sell better than any previous AC game, thus getting us more AC games and more post release patches and DLCs to improve the game.

Selling an AC game to the incredibly small fanbase while not making any attempt to bring in new fans is what makes a franchise die, the whole twenty fucking people who actually care about this series are not enough to keep Fromsoft afloat.

Because anytime a game goes free to play, quality drops significantly. Sure, your game "lives" but that's only assuming the casual masses will stick with it.

Now imagine this remaining on consoles, where you cant make private custom servers, and so you have absolutely no way to filter out children and BRs and F2P who have no idea how to play.

Not with those fucking damage resistances.
>>
>>164981325
VD damage / defense ratios are lower than FA, but there's a damage penalty for being below defenses. Most arm weapons can one-shot-kill enemies in VD as long as you don't

Enemy ACs can also be killed in under 20 seconds in VD by abusing the damage distributions. You also have UWs and tons of instant kill melee options.

In FA, you need heavy grenades or laser cannons to kill anything in one hit, or get lucky with kojima weapons to have that kind of speed.
>>

ACVD DLC remixes are probably the best in the franchise though
>>
>>164976219
Re-read the original post you fucking retard.

It wouldn't be pay to win, it'd be pay to progress at a faster rate, along with the single player and some exclusive parts.

There would be a balancing system so players don't get put in extremely unfair matches of shitbots vs gundamus, 90% of all parts in the game would be unlockable for free, it'd just take longer to get them, thus giving F2P players a reason to buy the full game with its excellent singleplayer, exclusive parts, and completely reasonable progression speed.

If you think such a system would be anything out of the ordinary and cause a huge controversy, you clearly haven't payed any attention to video games outside of AC for quite a few years.

Games like War Thunder have absurdly slow grinds, and even if you literally pay hundreds of fucking dollars, it's still virtually impossible to get everything because the progression is just that slow.
Yet that game is still successful, even with it's absurdly grindy, extremely anti-consumer business model, filled with microtransactions requiring you shovel out fifty dollars for one fucking tank, and an overpowered one at that, it has a massive player base.

THE SYSTEM PROPOSED IN THE ORIGINAL POST IS NOT THAT, IT'S MUCH MORE REASONABLE THAN THAT.

The grind even in free to play mode wouldn't be as brutal, just slow enough to be annoying, and the payed version would have players progressing at a perfectly reasonable rate.

The game wouldn't be pay to win as almost all the parts would be available to free players, and the ones that can be obtained by buying the game would hopefully be neither overpowered or underpowered, just decent parts, perhaps with some unique gimmicks.

Instead of a microtransaction system the only purchase possible would be to go from the free to play multiplayer with annoying grind, to multiplayer with no excessive grind, some neat extra parts, and the entire huge singleplayer mode described in the original post.
>>
>>164983681
>>164976219
>>164976219
Only other thing to buy would perhaps be DLC expansion packs, which are probably gonna happen regardless of whether it has any F2P elements.
In the modern gaming industry full of much more bullshit business models, I think that would be a perfectly reasonable and profitable way of handling it.
The people who pay 60 dollars for it would get a perfectly good experience that isn't impacted at all by the business model, and the ones who play it for free have a good time but feel compelled to buy the full version to make it even better.

WHY WOULD THIS BE A BAD THING?
IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR EVERYONE.
>>
>>164983681
Have you played Ace Combat: Infinity?
>>
>>164961861

>Armored Core is thoroughly fucked if it doesn't get popular with the next game.

Being -popular- is not as important as being -profitable-. Free to Play is a great way to make your game popular without making any money, especially on consoles.

You know how Hawken was able to go F2P? Because the devs (a much, much, much smaller and cheaper dev team using Unreal engine for cheap) ran out of money and got bought out by someone else. They also relied on Unreal to keep costs low, instead of a dedicated graphics engine, which made it very homogenous and FPS-oriented experience, expected of a indie game. They released on PC, which is still niche in Japan.

You would not increase awareness by making it F2P. The multiplayer might be more "active" but each player is going to play for a less time and have less reason to buy the main game, and the company is going to lose money on all the development just to get the game started. F2P is also known for being extremely prone to cheat exploitation, requiring more patches and constant upkeep.

From has shareholders. They have a dedicated singe player console fanbase. They have expectations and an expensive dev team. They have their own game engines. They -cannot- afford to develop a half-assed F2P beta and release it on a niche platform just to make their franchise more 'popular'. The press fallout would be insane.

You had a fun idea. "What if the next AC game got popular like Hawken?" except reality just doesn't work like that.
>>
>>164983970
Dude you have to factor in how many people are just going to stay with the F2P aspect, sure the game would live a little but if there's nothing stopping the majority of people sticking with not paying a dime. Which would hurt Fromsoft and future AC prospects, they would lose more money than gain it.
Also those War Thunder games pale in comparison to AC, why would you ever want to use the same system considering from your idea, people don't have to pay and still get more than War Thunder.
>>
>>164984821
On top of this, a vast majority of From's customers are console gamers. Most F2P players are those who would not pay for a full priced game, and if you have purchased a $500 next-gen console, the chances of you not being willing to pay for a full priced game are pretty low. This means you're not adding fans to the fanbase, you're just trading long-time profitable fans for short-term unprofitable fans.
>>

Also those War Thunder games pale in comparison to AC, and it's not better for everyone, I don't want to grind hundreds of hours just to get the one booster or LA I want.
I'm sure most AC fans don't want to either, the traditional way to unlock parts in AC has worked for years.

F2P:
Revenue per user ~$0.50 (for a moderate MMO. Over $1 puts you in the top 10 with games like LoL or World of Tanks)
Profit Margin: ranges from 0 to 5%

Pay to Play
Revenue per user: ~$60
Profit Margin: ranges from 0 to 30%

That means 1 paying user represents ~60-360 F2P users.

Most AC games sell ~200,000 copies and probably have a thin margin. Do you really think that a F2P AC game would attract 12,000,000 users?

The AC/FromSoft fans who buy it on release or buy it after playing free for a while will probably vastly outnumber the AC/FromSoft fans who never buy it.
The free to play people mostly don't buy it but the ones who do more than make up for the few people in the series currently niche audience who don't buy it.
The player base is more active and it makes about as much money as it would have anyways.
>>
>>164987132

People will buy assassin's creed, play for a week, and then stop. But they'll go on and buy the next game anyway without having to be reminded it exists. Not true for AC, most people have only played one game in the franchise or wait until long after release to pick it up again, if ever.

>>
>>165056287
>Reddit
May heaven have mercy.
>>
Oldking did nothing wrong
>>
>>165056436
The interface is pretty easy, it's forum + link sharing, each post is a link, each comment section is a forum. Each board (like Armored Core) has their own section to post links. Links are ordered by the number of upvotes/downvotes.

but you don't have anonymity, you're pseudonymous, which pisses some 4channers off since they are accountable for what they say and people can have baggage/egos. That's where the whole "4chan hates reddit" meme got started. Some people tend to not like the whole upvote/downvote thing since it can favor memes and repetitive content rather than giving everyone an 'equal' chance like 4chan, but I think that's a bit bullshit since 4chan is just as susceptible to groupthink and memes.

To each their own, but as long as AC fans know how to find each other and keep each other interested in the game, that's what matters.
>>
>>165056436

>>
>>165058454
he died for our sins
>>
>>165058506
It's no meme my friend, Reddit is one of the worst websites as the vast majority of its userbase is narcissistic and uses this facade of "fun fun fun XD." Other than niche subs most are unlike the r/title, where rules are changed and mods instructed to follow site rhetoric and ideology. Just look at what happened when they wanted to rematch /v/ when they destroyed them at Tribes.
>>
>>165058506

>>

The legs and arms ingame are a lot thinner, which makes the complete frame look weak and goofy.

This: >>165062560

and a lot of little things.

The head angle is tilted up, so it doesn't look intimidating as the "low" angled head in most fan art.

The core tapers in tight and the legs square out, giving it this less "muscular" look as in fan art.

So instead of an Evangelion it looks more like an alien from a 90s video game.

40K's shtick is that it's ridiculously over the top and if /tg/ has taught me anything, it's that there's always some wacky bullcrap each faction can pull out of somewhere that's basically an "I win" button.
So Tau, I guess.
>>
>>165094318
Basically this, 40k is so over the top that you will need to go on purpose more over the top to beat it
>>
>>165093075
Man this design would be great if it weren't for those fucking feet.
>>
>>165092458
The Tau can keep up with the IoM or Eldar, who are technologically so advanced that they have become the embodiment of the saying "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
>>
>>165092458
Huge tech differential there. I mean, the Tau are a few thousand years ahead of AC Humanity in recorded history, and they've had to keep up with the joneses with all the other assholes that exist in the galaxy once they reached space, spurring their tech development (aka drive to exist) hardcore.

But if you give an AC equivalent technology then yeah, they could probably wreck and step all over battlesuits. Not even gonna mention arming NEXTS with them.
>>
>>165089256
I got into AC because AC2AA was available at blockbuster, and was the first thing I rented for my PS2 before I could afford to buy my own games. I ended up buying that exact copy of AC2AA about 2 years later when the store went out of business, sun-bleached cover and all.

Arena
>>
>>165102754
Depends on the Titan but most likely if the NEXT is equipped with 40k tech and if it's a damn good pilot at the helm. That's assuming we're at a close range Spirit of Motherwill-esque battle engagement range though. Closing the distance between the two might be a huge pain in the ass since we don't really know details about Titan weapon ranges or velocity so replicating the initial VOB charge from the Motherwill mission might not be a good idea.

Well, the NEXT pilot could always just try to close in while it's heavily distracted. I remember hearing Titans are capable of supersonic craft tracking but lightweight NEXTS constantly shift vectors every half second regardless so I dunno.
>>
>>165107815
Also dont forget NEXT's can overcharge their PA, that combined with W40k tech would be devastating.
>>
>>165108756
Yeah, I'm pretty sure combining the two would produce a spawn worse than satan. Don't forget Void Shields, Melta, (maybe) Plasma. That's just Imperium, too. Imagine if they could ramshackle a mixture of tech from Necrons, Eldar, and Tau while they're at it. Hell, imagine a Kult of Speed Ork in a lightweight NEXT. Maybe DAoT-era Humanity had a bunch of fucking NEXT-equivalents that used chrono weapons.

I haven't been keeping up with my lore, though. It's been about five years since I was actually invested into 40k, and some of the shit that they retconned and replaced with sounds stupid as fuck.

>>
>>165109420
My imagination was that if a NEXT could mount a Void Shield Generator, it would ideally work as an outer layer for the Primal Armor itself. Shields for yo shields, if you will. So, in theory, the Primal Armor could be impenetrable in the loosest sense in that nothing would ever get past the Void Shield in the first place lest the reactor run out of juice for a bit. You could probably weaponize the damn field too by charging at enemies full speed Overed Boost and bam, they're either teleported to the Warp or missing damn near half of their components/body.

Ahabu-dono, I just DL'ed Knight of Sidonia. What should I expect?

This weekend I'm hopefully starting Another Age (i'm super close to beat that faggpt Mathias). Is it so much better than AC2? I quite liked AC2. Gameplay wasn't as slow as I expected (arena battles with OB are super hectic), good customization, quite balanced. Solid story and characters, the only bug I encountered was sometimes a sound glitch that looped endlessy, and slowdowns only occured when you went full Itano Circus. 8/10
>>
>>165148427
Knights of Sidona is pretty good, great artwork as the artist was an architect. I recommend Blame! as well.

>>165148427
Another Age almost entirely guts the story and there's no real arena, just some fag you fight twice.
But it has a ton of missions and is just as fast as 2, if not a little more so. It's pretty good.

Sidonia's all right. I can't speak for season 2 yet. The premise is good and the mechs are neat, but a lot of it hangs on whether or not you're down with the CG. Oh, and just accept that the bear can talk, because as far as I know it's never explained.
Izana best kishi.
And man, the OP and ED of Pailsen Files really fall short compared to the others.
>>165110276
Nurgle wants KP for the super cancer.
Khorne wants KP for its combat applications.
Tzeentch wants KP for some kind of "terraforming" project that takes four centuries.
Slaanesh wants to smoke that crap. And inject it.

Not bad. What were those ATs called, Bloodsuckers? Those were pretty cool.
>Big Battle
It's like they took one really, really, really good episode of VOTOMs and stretched it out to an hour. Hot dang.
>Shining Heresy
Pretty cool. Wish they'd explained a little more about Marteal and why they call Chirico the Untouchable. Fyana dying felt really forced.
Alegium ATs are super sick.
>Alone Again
Holy crap, Vanilla and Coconna got BUSY.
Pretty cool, but it feels kind of rushed. They probably should've just stuck to the Black Lightning Brigade and not bothered with that preacher guy. He's just kind of there. It's like:
>whoa, I'm clearly a villain
>and here's my motive
>and now it's time for the power play
but there's no real substance to him.
Those Black Lightning ATs, though.

So now I'm working on Pailsen Files.

I got to like Initial D charater design. It actually pissed me off that it got milder and milder with the seasons. Season 1, best season.

And yeah, I've watched Elfen Lied when I was younger. At that time I didn't notice, but I dl'ed it again for nostalgia purposes and SHEEEIIT,

>>165173142
>Chirico the Untouchable
Ultimate survivalist, not only because of Wiseman's meddling I love the Rambo vs Terminator dynamic between Chirico and Teitania.

Also, Teitania best girl, her final death in AG made me weep

>Alone again rushed
Maybe that's a bit of my fault, since I recommended you to avoid the Phantom Chapter. I didn't like it overall and the ending was all kinds of awful. But in general all Votoms OVAs are super rushed because of how short they are.

You still need to go through Finder and Case:Irvine

What are your guy's opinions on Titanfall 2?

I never tried it because it seemed to be using EA/Ubisoft's shitty class-perk customization system like CoD, but I hear Titanfall 2 has some actual gameplay customization?

Also, what about Warframe?
>>
>>165202642
TF2 I heard is excellent.

Warframe is a fantastic game but slow at the start and somewhat grindy. You can also never spend a dime on it because you can get the premium currency through trading.
>>
>>165202642
Both Titanfall 1 and 2 are fantastic, however they have the AC treatment where only a niche group plays a lot. Which is a shame, we need more money going to people who make good stuff. Also Warframe is fun, SUPER grindy to begin with but even you pick your starting frame it's cool to be a bio-ninja.
>>
>>165203147
>>165203745
What's the customization like for TF2? Is it still more FPS-like or can you actually build and optimize your own titans like AC lets you?

I might give warframe a look, since it's F2P. Not sure if I want to commit dollars to titanfall to hold me over until the next AC is out. Seems like Dark souls 3 would be a better choice for some AC-like customization and pvp.

Titanfall 1 lets you customize to a basic extent. You can customize which powers the mech has, whether it's light/medium/heavy, their main power (portable shield, electric smoke, vortex shield to catch gunfire and throw it back, etc). Then you have the missile ordanance that you can pick what kind of salvo it does, and finally of course your main armament that the mech carrys. The game was made in the Source Engine and wall running and certain pilot powers can help you do crazy stuff. In short, Titanfall 1 and 2 are Call of Duty but waaaay better with a jump pack, wall-running, and ultra fast gameplay. I recommend both, but I play the first a lot more.
>>
>>165204268
Titanfall 2 is pretty much you pick the missile ordanance and titan aux power but that's it, you pick from a roster of named pilots and mechs which I didnt like. More customization the better. Otherwise its a real good game, has a great single-player too. Some multiplayer changes might put you off if you come from the first one, but it's still a damn good FPS.

Sup nigga, I've been hooked on Titanfall 2 and I have an unhealthy amount of time spent on Warframe.

>Titanfall 2

>The roight stuff

>Fucking fun FPS gameplay, Titan and Pilot action both blend together surprisingly well
>Movement system is absolute godtier with wallrunning and slide hopping for sustaining momentum, it isn't as fast as Tribes but it's pretty damn fast for a game of its type
>Very well paced but short singleplayer with great interactions with your Titan buddy BT along with neat mechanics and AC-like banter with hostile pilots and aces (See Viper)
>Muh free DLC, they should have a content roadmap coming soon

>The questionable

>Multiplayer balance is all over the fucking place right now and a lot of people are bitching about it, some cancer mildly varies on platform
>MP player skill levels vary incredibly, slowniggers gonna slownigger, and fasties gonna fast, the most important thing is to know when to slownigger and when to fast
>Game could have been marketed a lot fucking better (seriously it was wedged together between BF1 and Infinite Warfare) but many believe it's EA's fault and that it was probably intentional sabotage on their part because they don't own the IP, Respawn does

More on Warframe on the next post, it's a decent game but man do the devs do a lot of fucking stupid shit. I know it's hard trying to appease the community of your video game but there's been a lot of retarded changes that I've witnessed, speaking as a bitter vet. I gotta get my tiddyfall happy hour bonus though.

For Warframe

>Good stuff

>Gameplay is fun but co-op centric, solo is viable but with games like these, you'll be acquiring things more efficiently if you had a few friends/lackeys since it's a game based on getting cool shit and killing things with said cool shit
>Decent graphics for a free to play game, art style is pretty unique
>Pretty fleshed out customization in the form of applying mods to equipment to gain attributes like making your gun shoot more bullets, but a lot of mods are still pretty useless however that may just be inevitable when it comes to this sort of design
>It's easy to get plat if you're dedicated by just farming for things that people want and selling them, game doesn't have an auction house or a market so taking advantage of some people's ignorance on prices and simple googling can be viable
>Platinum is pretty much used for making life easier or making yourself look cooler, but if you're a collector and want every single weapon in your arsenal, you'll have to buy dem slots with your plat.

>Bad/questionable stuff

>You'll have to grind a fucking ton (unless you want to use plat) but that's probably a good thing for some of you
>The devs are sometimes fucking brainless and completely shit on things that people like or just leave bugs unfixed for months, they own up to their faults every now and then but it's still a shitty experience for everyone
>A lot of new systems and ideas put into the game are half-baked and balance for a number of systems and warframes is fucked

However despite that I'm perfectly willing to admit it is a damn decent and fun game, it's just hampered by a lot of poor decisions and management in its history. If you like the idea of mindlessly killing a lot of shit and grinding, then by all means check it out. I'm willing to help anyone new (although I haven't played in a month) assuming you're on PC.
>>
>>165235860

Depends on the game.

I generally prefer ballistic weapons, but EN weapons are way more powerful in AC1-AC2 era.

AC3 is probably more ballistics heavy, plus I love the bazookas and grenades in that game.

AC4 era? Energy all the way. PA sucks, and they get a boost from EN weapon skill. Acrux is love, Acrux is life. Plus, most ballistic weapons have to basically be trigger spammed to hit because of the low velocity and maneuverability.

AC5 is a mixed bag, but I prefer KE with a TE backup for shield breaking or lightweights, most of the time.

AC6 is confirmed to be in "early development". Nothing else has been announced. We probably won't hear anything until E3, since that's when From likes to announce new games.

There's also a fan patch for Armored Core Last Raven Portable in the works, which now has its own multiplayer server for PC now:

>>
>>165304283
It's been very hush-hush. They haven't even announced anything for Dark Souls since the last DLC came out. It's actually a little worrying how little press coverage they're getting, given that they're planning to release another DLC soon but haven't even given anyone a release date.

Bloodborne staff / SIE Japan gave an interview where they said they are focusing on PS4 hardware, and are still working on 'another release' after bloodborne, specifically "ambitious" games. http://www.dualshockers.com/2016/12/27/sony-producer-teases-new-ambitious-games-shuhei-yoshida-aims-2017-playstation-software/

There is a Nintendo Switch press conference tomorrow they are supposedly attending, which is rumored to feature a Switch port of Dark Souls. https://www.vg247.com/2016/12/07/from-soft-already-has-dark-souls-3-running-on-nintendo-switch-trilogy-re-release-in-consideration-report/

So your guess is as good as mine. A PSVR Armored Core is just as likely as a complete PC reboot of the franchise. It's just as likely that we will get a half-assed game released in 2020 as it is that we'll get a AAA game released in 2017.

What AC type, would be the easiest to pilot?
>>
>>165333847
There is no one AC that is easiest, each archetype you can make has it's own advantages and disadvantages so I imagine that every pilot has to make up for some of those disadvantages.
>>
>>165334343

>t. wonderful body, pilot of both normal and lynx
>>
>>165333847
Because of the high level of customization, it seems the "hardest" AC to pilot is always the one most unfamiliar to you.

In most of the games the lower-tier enemies use ACs that are similar to MTs (your basic rifle+missile/rocket mid biped) with slight variations.

There's some lore behind this with ACFA, because of "AMS Compatibility" determining how well a pilot can interact with their AC. It seems like bulkier, more defense-oriented builds with high powered ballistic weapons are used by the pilots with low AMS compatibility. This could also be because of GA having the best systems for low-compatibility pilots.
>>

On the Japanese versions, there is some unused lines for Hari, that they were connected to the mission were the Aretha appears, but FROM decide to kill Hari early, is mentioned in the second secret metting of ORCA IIRC, in the end, the Aretha is a autonomous weapon.

They tend to announce new games at E3. We have no idea what order they're going to release the next 3 games in, but they are all being worked on simultaneously. An optimist would say a late 2017 early 2018 release for something that is fairly rushed/small. mid 2018 to late 2018 for something that is large scale like DS3 / BB was.

in earlier gens, heavyweights were more "beginner friendly" (not easier, per se) to pilot due to how they were more forgiving when it came to getting hit.
in later gens, midweights with rifles seem to be a pretty good all-around build that's easy on newcomers (omer build in for answer, for instance) due to their ease of control. capable of both dodging and [reasonably] taking hits but not unwieldy.
and in VD midweights were generally OK because it allowed you to carry multiple damage type weapons along with the capability of blocking out a lot of weapons. though in conquest mode that kind of setup didn't really contribute much, your role was always in a grey area and you ended up bottlenecking your own abilities due to not excelling at anything in particular (both defensively AND offensively).
eg. if somebody was weaker and faster they could run away no issue and flank you effortlessly and if someone was stronger and slower they would win the trigger holding battle no problem.
so it's far from the "best" but it MIGHT be the "easiest" to pilot.

FROM doesn't have anything announced (3 ~~mystery~~ games), and the DSIII anniversary is slowly creeping up.
there are reasons to be hype

How would you make arms fort fights better?

Hard Mode: No upping their health or de-mobilizing NEXTs.
>>
>>165382943
Other NEXTs fight you at the same time, apso they are a critical objective. Also sandstorm, rain, or a blizzard to mess with your vision.

You can't damage them just by hitting them anywhere, you have to hit them in weak points or do special things to damage them, such as with Motherwill or Great Wall. Answerer is close to being good since it has the PA and assault armor gimmicks, but it's still too easy since you can just blade through it. Sol Dios was also pretty decent since you have to deal with all the cannons.
>>
>>165386910
>>165387887

Definitely echoing this.

Make the arms forts the levels. Give them multiple ways to be taken down, but none of which just involve destroying a single thing without first going through a series of processes. Give some idea that these things could destroy NEXTs easily, but that YOU can defeat them because you figured out their weaknesses.

Motherwill and Great Wall are alright.

Basically, make them like ACV/VD's online bosses.

-Make every Arms Fort similar to Mother Will, where damaging it directly doesn't kill it. You have to disassemble it piece by piece.
-give them more health. Screw your hard mode.
-more minions. Think Cabracan's guys popping up while his main weapons are still active.
-I'm a sucker for final forms. Have some of them be given the ability to shed most of their armor and weapons and become a slightly larger AC. Think Hexaped Mother Will AC.
-environment. Let me ambush the arms forts on the ground with rocky blockades. Think of the giant tank fight from Valkyria Chronicles.
-remove all cheesing. Make blades do very little damage unless on a weak spot.

It's concept art for pilot gear, the one in the photo is a female so I don't think it's the protag for 4/4A.
>>
>>165396661
i strongly agree with everything, as long as the minions aren't too annoying and serve the purpose of making you feel more badass as opposed to pissing you off by taking away your ability to feel badass
minions done right can make or break a battle (i'm thinking silent avalanche where if you eat a single bullet it stuns you and throws off your momentum, it just feels silly)
also final forms are great but it's best not to overuse the idea. take platinumgames' bosses for example, they all have a final form to the point where everything up to it becomes busywork. it's like, if you can tell the boss is not in its final form yet, you're not going to be surprised when it actually does TRRRRAAANNSFOOOOORM. it's a tool that should be used sparingly and effectively.

honestly the arms fort fights can be made incredible challenges if you try it. Next time youre on 4a try and fight the answerer from underneath it with just two rifles. on 1.4 you have enough ammo with almost any rifle pair to kill it from underneath, you just have to shoot off the spikes. If you cant then desu youre shit and probably cant second stage either
>>
>>165448935
>Answerer can be made hard if you use dual rifles
>if you can't beat it then you're shit

Dual rifle builds are the most overpowered FA build that doesn't use blades/cannons.

Answerer is never hard. I could see you 'making' it hard by using only AA. Or Kojima weapons. Or a tank from the ground (without grenades).

But dual rifles? You're still cheesing that shit.

It's been 4 years since the last game. This is the year. You ready boys?
>>
>>165455605
Hell yeah, I have a lot of confidence that it'll come out this year. Even though we've been waiting for years I think From will deliver finally, if not then we'll crawl back to /acg/ in disappointment.
>>
>>165455468
We're talking about arms forts, not players.

Blades can be overpowered against players if you have enough network lag, though. Client side hit detection is a bitch. Remember all the JP sobrero meta builds using blade jousting back in the day?

>>165453182
They're the highest DPS weapons that can penetrate PA and/or don't have a major range limitation. "Baby's first PvP build" is a dual rifle latona with some choice of cannon on the back. Get an AP lead and then purge the cannons and use rifles to maintain it for 5 minutes. If they have beefed up PA/Ballistic defense, swap one rifle out for the light omer laser rifle.
>>
>>165456094

We've never gone longer than 4 years. Titanfall 2 fills the gap a bit. But it just isn't the same.
>>
>>165456094
>>165455605
Even if it doesn't come out, we're at least going to get concept images / announcements / leaks.
>>
>>165456094
>>165458259

stop building the hype, the less the better, if we get something is great surprise, if we get nothing we suffer less.
>>
>>165456869
ACV was supposed to come out in 2010 but got delayed for Dark Souls 1.

If Bloodborne had not been made, then AC6 would have come out in 2015.

These are the only two times since 1997 that Form Software has not been working on an AC game. Now that they have a larger team and can work on more than 1-2 games at a time, if the next AC game sells well and is favorable
>>
>>165458736
I'm not building the hype, just saying that something -is- being worked on.

Unless you're worried they are going to cancel the project? I suppose if you think that's a concern then building expectations up might be bad.
>>
>>165458736
Well it's every year with no AC at this point.
>>
>>165456579
Lag can be countered easy, blade tricks specifically generate lag and are still piss easy to beat. If somebody really has enough network lag anything they use is impossible to beat. Besides, the biggest issues with blades is people make bladers with white lock which increases you lag, Kyocus tested and proved it back in the day. They barely lag if you dont have white lock on your blades. And it was only hard to fight bladers if you were bad and didnt understand how to dodge them.

Bet you couldnt beat blub blub and thats why youre salty over rifles. Learn to go forward instead of being so scared
>>
>>165459556

I dont think we they are going to cancel the project, is just that I dont think we are getting something this year, at least on E3 or similar events, maybe some leaks like a AC6 website being made someday during the year, but no much.
