Maybe its because I'm easily amused, but I find it pretty funny that despite Yvenn being, in theory, a superpowered bloodsucking predator, he's still more or less the same frail, stamina-less nerd he was back before he turned, since he has to be awake during the day and at home at night due to his job. So anyone who sees him on a regular basis would notice he couldn't jog down a city block without having to stop to take a breather (because you know, sunlight penalties.)

Not that anon, but the performance and stability improvements are actually pretty significant. That said, I consider it unconscionable that they're trying to sell what is basically a glorified patch as a separate product on PC.

On console they can do whatever, since it's perfectly within norms in that space for someone to have to pay again due to a lack of backwards compatibility and has been for quite some time.

And Windows 10 may have it's problems but the objectionable features can all be disabled, windows 7 is eventually going to run out of security updates, and there's a lot of hardware that straight up isn't supported on 7 these days (for the record I'm still on 7.) DX12 is probably going to force my hand soon though. Fucking Microsoft.

Not him but the only time that would be useful is when you're playing a mod that utilizes the full features that SSE has (the "more actors on screen being able to act out their AI")

Chances are, it's not gonna happen because most modders don't use a lot of NPCs in towns. And if someone does place tons of NPCs within towns and settlements, they won't have much voice acting because it takes quite a bit of work. The only thing I can see this being useful is having TONS of unique followers travel Skyrim and meeting them along the way. Especially when you come across towns and settlements.

Personally, I never saw the hype of SSE. Probably because I've been giving remasters that were slightly better than this (yet still sucked)

Any mod involving lots of NPCs in combat, of which there are many, already benefits on SSE. In terms of business practices SSE is shitty, sure, but it's an objectively superior product. It utilizes system resources better (ram, vram, multithreading), because of that it's more stable, it has a better native lighting engine, it can handle more NPC AI concurrently without shitting itself or tanking your FPS, etc. It's not going to come into its own until SKSE64 comes out but it's going to be the overall better platform, although probably not the prettier one.

Excuse you, I'm trying to have a serious conversation here. It's unfortunate that you can't run SSE, but the fact of the matter is that's because they made the minimum requirements unnecessarily high with shoddily upscaled textures and stuff like that. I don't know how they managed to optimize it worse than Oldrim but they did. Look, I'm not pulling this stuff out of my ass. It is a fact that SSE imposes unnecessary limits on textures and meshes, has bugs with meshes that don't upscale hitboxes, has an extremely slim mod library, and severely limits ENB capabilities.

You may or may not remember me, but I'm back after a bit of a hiatus since my computer screwed up, but I guess the good news is that I get to start fresh! Maybe the game will be more stable now that I'm determined to use less mods that I no longer feel I need.

Was enjoying playing this Orc character so I've decided to re-make her (with some tweaks here and there) based mostly on what I remember, and I guess it's going alright -- though I'd really appreciate any opinions I can get from people that have clearly been doing this a lot longer than I have (I only recently moved on to Skyrim from New Vegas).

Things I Know I Need To Work On -- Trying to blend out that neckseam some more and toning down the sweat on the body to match up with the face a bit better.

Screenshots taken without ENB as I figure that if I can them to look alright without one it'll look just fine with one.

Any thoughts or advice?

I'm doing an Academic-type playthrough since Spell Research really gets me into it, what's a good mod for hiring randomized meat-shie- I mean personal guards for exploring? My combat set-up is pretty brutal, and I kind of like the idea of feeding has-beens and wannabes to the meat grinder in pursuit of knowledge and power, so just a randomized bunch of mooks would be ideal.

I'm saving followers for specific scenarios/RP elements, and will rarely, if ever, drag them into dungeons. The weak ones, that is, I'm sure my morally ambiguous mage would have no problem setting Bhruce loose on a crypt full of Draugr.

1. Morrowind
2. Skyrim
3. Oblivion

Oblivion had arguably better and more immersive quests than Skyrim did but Cyrodiil got turned into a generic european fantasyland instead of the awesome jungle environment it was portrayed as in Morrowind. Also all of the dungeons in Oblivion are literally just copy + pasted from one another. It made me want to vomit and I constantly got deja vu.

Morrowind's my favorite setting for reasons that should be obvious to anyone who played the game. It's far from generic in any way, shape or form.
