In 8`man content there are 2 tanks, and off and main, 2 healers and 4 DPS.
The offtank usually just beats the shit outta things along witth the DPS unless there are Mechanics that require tank swaps/extra add pick ups.

black mage is kinda weird in that it doesn't really get massive DPS increases over THM until you hit 50. that said, there's not really any reason to not unlock it immediately, especially if you don't have blood for blood or internal release. i think just being a black mage gives you a decent sized base stat boost over THM, anyways.

I just bought the AST Alex weapon over the SCH one thus switching "main" jobs since its a 25 item level difference between the weapons i have (Im a bit of casual scum when it comes to gear progression lately).

And while i was bored of fairy management and spamming bio and feeling useless when i got stuck with another SCH to heal with. On top of having fun leveling AST over the last few weeks i still feel like i sorta betrayed myself since its what i played since i first started playing back in ARR. Dont know if any others here felt that way if they swapped their mains that were in the same side of the trinity.

Anyway. Blogpost over. Just blabbing over class crisis issues since no other friends are on to yell at.

hunting logs or PotD can be done mostly solo. If you have a max level friend you can also grind mobs to 12 or so then get them to help you with hunting log to hit 15. Not sure if just doing potd is faster or not thought. If you're on Balmung I can help you kill mobs though

Honestly all of that shit is kind of a waste on like 90% of the floors. Huton is a pain in the ass to keep up without armor crush in the first 30 and most bosses will die before trick attack can even wear off before like, 60. Using dots in general is utterly pointless unless you're fighting a boss and doton isn't used against single targets if I remember correctly.

I will admit though, there are a massive amount of shitter ninjas in potd. Then again this game in general has a significant amount of people who are just bad. Just bad at all video games.

I ran into a paladin one time. A PALADIN. Someone who had already gotten Gladiator to 30 and done all of the class quests to get it. This man did not know what shield lob was or how the combo system worked. I kept pulling aggro in a dungeon and was wondering what the hell was happening, our healer then had to stop and explain to this dude who was using Savage Blade non-stop, what riot blade was and how to use it to get MP back for flashes and how the combo system worked.
He actually listened and the rest of the run was perfect.

Before, I had one of my hotbars assigned to my numpad (because I have a meme gaming keyboard with programmable keys on the left side)
But suddenly the numpad refuses to work with the hotbar and only moves the camera, and now I can't change it back.

if your very last gcd before he disappears on inception would be a heavy swing it's worth it to fracture, otherwise it's not
if you can keep your combo up for after he appears it's probably best to just do that and fracture him later, you have to remember that damage over time isn't some magic thing that increases your DPS if you have to run away from a target, everything is still it's own potency which is a flat number.
