Should a noob who just has one 57 and started in the last three weeks be cooking on a main or do that on an alt that can sit around the same town making beer/crates?

Is there a benefit to doing cooking on your high level characters? Does it generate xp doing turn ins for the little character?

I get that gathering is beneficial on your geared characters since you can harvest golems or run around wherever you are getting wood or w/e.

With your AP, try grinding at the mansha forest for a while until you can get your stuff to +15 at least. After that, go to helms/manes and then begin PRI'ing your weapons/armour which should let you do Sausans easily.

at that low yea, with the calph city and calph outskirts you should be able to get multiple points a day off those alone.
There are some in the quest log repeat tab for killing manshas/catfishmen/rhutums that give 200 contrib. The ones in Mediah region give a bit more than the calph ones as well.

I stayed at L50 for a long time, so I don't know much about the higher level repeats.

The weapon is greyed out and can't be added to enhance. I can add my already pri awakening weapon or my +15 offhand.

It's the only way you'll ever pick up any loot at endgame grind spots.
Put the food on your hotbar and either click them or smash the button, it's a lot faster than using from your inventory if you're using the cheapo 6 satiety food

Honestly I like the Ranger awakening a lot, it fulfills my suppressed legolas fantasies perfectly. I find it more fun than non-awakened Ranger which only uses like three skills... but replaces it with seven skills that have almost no interaction or combos. It's just so simplistic it hurts. I like it regardless though. Melee for bosses sucks shit though.

i started recently as well, and i feel the best way to go about setting up your shit is the following:

Heidel should be your main town, due to the best fishing spot in the game being there (exhausted river for ancient relic shards), and the town being small and easy to navigate. also heidel is kind of in the middle of the map so i feel it's a good choice as "home"town - better access in all directions.
have an alt sitting in Heidel that does all your life skills: fishing, cooking, alchemy, whatever else you want to pick up.

then get another alt to level 50 and just sit him at Calpheon to do the daily 15 mins quest route for CP. getting a character to 50 shouldn't take more than a day at most i think
do everything else you feel like doing with your main
