I forgot to mention stuff like Lisa. These cards all have absurdly high value that people ignore because the stats are normal, but they completely fail to realize that that is why those cards are so broken. Siegfried being a 3/3 for 4 is why it is so broken. In comparison, the 4 drop evolve cards are a 3/4. For a whopping single stat less you get the absolute best effect for board dominance, all without spending an evolve point. When you do spend one, you get a 5/5 instead of a 4/5. You end up actually having better stats.

And Yurius isn't even invincible by any means. If he was a 2/2 you'd use your overly efficient 2pp (or 1pp because Dragon XD) removal spell that also adds tempo and additional effects for some reason and he'd be dead. Now, you do the same thing but also trade a follower into him. The follower will live too unless it is a 1/1 in which case who cares.

Every class can do that. Blood and Haven can instant kill Yurius for 2pp (the same cost as him and without triggering his effect), Rune can bounce him back and get a free card draw off of it, and the other classes spend a removal spell that has a secondary effect anyway.

There's nothing wrong here.

Dude aggro blood is hard to play. Dropping followers and going face every turn while mulliganing for Yurius to drop on turn 2 to prevent other classes from doing the same to you requires a good amount of game knowledge.

Elena requires you to lose a bit of tempo setting up Elana. Normally you just Themis then heal off the damage you took in the optimal scenario. Otherwise you stall with healing followers until Seraph.

Pure Seraph does away with most healing followers and instead focuses on heavy removal. Sledgehammer, Cudgels, Lions, Tribunals, Collectors.

Aria into Dogma is one of the best starting plays ever no matter the plan so always include Aria.

Oh that's the only Control decks people run this meta. It isn't even that reliable against Aggro Blood. In all the times I've fought Earth as Aggro Blood this expansion, I've only lost once. I couldn't care less about your ward cards. By the time you can pump them out reliably, you're already dead or I already transitioned to solely doing burn combos and spells.

No. At least last patch it had to play around angelic barrage, but nowadays there's really nothing stopping you from just continuously flooding the board.

Slutcraft should never have a good card because their best deck ignores their own fucking mechanics. It deserves to be deleted from this game along with daria and clarke. I can see control blood being the thinking man's class, but aggro blood being hard to pilot is a meme perpetuated by eternally salty bloodcucks butthurt that their meme class hasn't been T1 for awhile.

I have a lot of match experience as Aggro Blood. Many of the matches I win I won because I traded. Going face the whole time works well in some matchups, but not all of them. You can often create a much more powerful play by trading, especially with classes like Forest. Forest, Sword, and Rune right now can all out damage you if you aren't careful.

Trading to stop Ancient Elf from being strong (now a single razory claw deals with her) is Forest vs Aggro Blood matchup knowledge 101 imo. If I can stop that card from having value I almost never lose the matchup.

Not playing into removal is really important too. Rune never runs AOE anymore so cards like summon bloodkin are way better than say Blood Wolf.

Knowing when to use bat cards is crucial. Most of them don't have much value unless combo'd. I often end up only using some of my PP and holding onto those cards waiting for Vania or Castles.

The modern Aggro Blood deck has a lot of outs and feels much more solid and less gimmicky than it did in DE. Yurius is key to all of this, as is dropping cards like Killer Devil. I don't even run Demonic Strike because in this meta your opponents can create massive boardstates if you ever slow down even a little bit.

The people that just fill the deck with burn and go face the whole time are the same people I always see whining about terrible hands and overrelying on topdecks. You can make the deck more reliable if you pilot it in a way such that you're always thinking about the long term potential. Many of the cards aren't good on curve. Hell, I find Blood Wolf to be the best evolve card for the deck, but a lot of people waste it early when you could instead be creating a resilient board.

Aside from tribunal being an actual upgrade to its removal seraph still face the same old problem of early game. Tried running snake priestess doesn't really help either since there are so many 2/2 followers right now.

Also unlike elana pure seraphs really don't have much space for self healing since it will focus more on board clear which make it really awkward about when to drop seraph since even with clear board the opponent may very well hit that last 2-3 hp off your face.

Eidolon in theory should have helped solidify it but after testing that shit is so slow most of them it just got removed even before getting any effect off. And fuck you to whoever told me earlier here that guardian sun can make it lockdown opponent,because it fucking doesn't. Opponent just fucking bypass it to hit face.

Whether the decks are good buys depends on what you want to play.

For example, the Sword deck is great if you want to start a midsword deck and don't have any of the Legendary's. So is the Elf deck.

These will all do massive burst damage out of nowhere against you. Now your self damage cards start to look a lot worse. This is mine, but i just played 4 games with it and lost 3. Played against dirtrune, control blood, Guardian Sun/Satan Haven and Discard Dragon (which i actually won because he misplayed and left my Bahamut alive).

Because it's hard to balance and it's boring. I never want this game to be like Hearthstone with two Reno decks taking half an hour or more to win because all that matters is who runs out of reactionary cards first. Or Warrior just armoring up and going to fatigue.

I never want this game to actually get to the point to where people stop playing cycle cards because they are afraid of drawing through their whole deck. It's also inherently bad design because of the class differences.

Like with this meta, you can't have a control meta because that's literally just a Dragon meta. It's an inherent flaw to that class' design.

I've had a lot of situations where I recently played Seraph into Seraph and people just didn't have the second Odin or petrification available.

This guy actually used 2 petrifications earlier so he was pretty much frantically searching out his last one I think.

That has always been the case. So long as these games don't let you meaningfully interact with your opponent, midrange is the best deck style because it means the deck is going to have cycle, trading, removal, buffing, etc...

Its why I always laugh when people complain about Elana. At least that deck does things. Same with Forest. Those decks can make meaningful decisions.

Control decks and aggro decks don't. Control decks will almost always trade and remove opponent cards until they draw what they need or exhaust the opponent. Aggro will almost always go face unless they are afraid of dying. Midrange is less rigid and so it makes the game more interesting.

The fact that Seraph was actually a thing in the last meta just showed why a midrange meta is better than aggro or control.
