EVERYONE dude, even Lalafell. All 3 of the Gridanian Allied Seals chestpieces look pretty amazing. I'm very slowly saving up for that Tank one, when I remember to actually do my weekly hunt.

A shame that most of the Allied Seals weapons don't look cool as the one you get from Serpent Seals highest rank, though. Love the shade of green on a lot of them.

Swiftcast is super useful, instantly casts your next spell.
Vital for healers (rez takes ages to cast normally), useful for dps to squeeze out that last lil bit of damage. Levelling thaumaturge is p.fun as well, the cycles of fire then ice then fire is an interesting playstyle

gladiator, which is shit and boring (shields are for gay boys)
and MARAUDER - axe wielding gofuckyourself nigga who is much more fun both early game mid game and late game

As far as I know, balmung is the most highly populated server in the game, with second being gilgamesh. Since they're always so fucking full the only reasonable way to get in is to make a character on a different server and pay for a server change, since you get priority that way.

Balmungs cities literally always have people in them, and if you play tank, queue pops are almost instant, theres always people on, thats why you cant make new characters there.
Loads of stuff on marketboard, couple of xivg free companies, rp/erp if youre into that, people of all skill levels.

Balmung is the most populated server. You'll get a lot of onscreen chat just hanging around cities, especially Ul'dah.

But yeah level Gladiator to 22 to get provoke, then get Marauder. It's much more fun.

No, you just literally pay for the world transfer service and it happens. It takes a few minutes, five to ten at most. Then you'll get an email saying that you're good to go and you can log in again.

As for logging on to balmung, sometimes you'll get a popup saying the world is full. Just log back in again immediately.

It's part of their recovery process if you don't have your security answers. I had to do the same thing when I recovered my account. They want to make sure you're you, and not some random person. The hope is the name on the ID matches the name on the account and then they use the pic on the ID and the selfie to confirm that it is indeed you and not someone that has your ID and wants your account (I never claimed they were smart).

Personally, 12.99 is fine for me as you can do anything and everything on 1 character.

there's generally not any "unwelcome" classes in the endgame at this point in time, people often prefer melee dps that have more utility (which makes monk slightly undesirable, but they still do great damage)

the raid tier of 3.4 is relatively easy and doesn't require a very strict composition in your raid team, so try not to stress too much at least for this point in time on what's "welcome" in raids
but WARs are generally always wanted, as they are almost universally the Off Tank in every group, Bards/Machinists are both very desirable due their very versatile toolkit that can help other members, DRG and NINs are welcome due to useful debuffs and great utilities (DRG bringing increased crit to the whole party, and NIN bringing just more damage overall through trick attack as well as Goad for other members)

The main story quest is sadly mandatory. Doing it unlocks pretty much everything. One of the wikis also had a things you can unlock via level, there's some side quest stuff you can easily miss that give you things like vanity pets and stuff like the dyeing system.

Do the guildhest roulette and dungeon roulette each day for the bonus exp it gives (once you unlock them)
You tend not to need to grind an awful lot.
What class are you gonna be playing anon?
Tank has fastet queues, then healers, then dps are in last. But on a good server it still shouldnt be too long, and you can do FATES (like mini quests on the open world) while you wait.

I think there's one for level 50-60 content too but I don't know where it is exactly. but that should do you for awhile. You'll hit a wall at 50 where you have to do the main stories for patches 2.1 to 2.55. It's about 100 quests and feels like it takes an eternity. Sadly it is also mandatory to do to reach HW content. When you hit that just take it at your own pace. If need be just remind yourself "I have to suffer through this to get to the expansion."

They're basically events that spawn on timers on the overworld. They're pretty easy to do and usually require you to kill some mobs or collect some items on the ground. They're good exp for the time invested so you should do them when you see them. Just watch out for the "boss fates" which have a single (usually huge) mob. They can't be soloed and aren't worth the time involved to kill them unless theres a fate train going round the zone.

Most people are on Balmung that publicly post in the general. Thats not necessarily a good thing though. Balmung is permanently closed to new characters - the only way to get around that is paying $18 or whatever it is in bong coins to get in. I'm from the UK and I play on Balmung. For what its worth there are plenty of people around but if you intend to be a very serious endgame raider I'd go somewhere else unless you wanna raid at graveyard hours, like 11pm-3am UK time.
