In Siege, sound is equally as important as sight. Sound is just another kind of sight. By muting the game or playing music on top of the game, it's equivalent to putting a blindfold on. Sound carries an immense layer of information in this game, and if you claim that you're doing 'better' without it, it means you were never good to begin with and your 'increase in success' is more attributable to confirmation bias and placebo effect.

In all the other shooters I play I do just fine with always moving and looking around the map and checking all the corners and hiding places. Raid a place in some small, yet large enough, map for weapons, ammo, gear, etc. Go alone as a Scav, or with a group of players/allies in 1 of 2 groups--USEC or BEARS. Raid the place then escape from the map, hence "Escape from Tarkov". If you make it out you get the loot you retrieved. Rinse and repeat.

Honestly it's just The Division Survival mode with no RPG mechanics, no bullet sponges, and more realism to it.

With this game when you go around a corner or shoot the information is sent from your client, to the server, to the enemy client, back to the server, to your client. All calculations are done server side. This means if there is a delay in that transfer then there is also a delay in the actions you do that is calculated for the enemy. This delay is why you have an advantage with a slower connection. By the time the enemy gets the information from the server a few milliseconds to actual seconds have passed. Whereas with a good connection the information that the person sends is calculated almost instantly. Using this method also prevents a LOT of cheats that could be used but also makes hit detection sub par and ghosting a problem.

With CSGO when you go around a corner or shoot the same thing happens, but the shot registers the moment your information hits the server. It doesn't have to go through the daisy chain to actually complete. This means the better connection you have the higher advantage you receive because the only thing that really matters is your information being sent to the server. This is same for the enemy too, but coming from the opposite end. It's why tick rate is so damn important in CSGO. It's also one of the reasons why cheating is so rampant because the information doesn't go through the daisy chain and as of which only relies on client information and not server information.
