Okay, hear me out.
What if a hero could not kill, be killed, or receive gold, but could gain experience?
Now what if that hero didn't exist as a unit, but more like a "god" type role, like an RTS, with global range?
What if this hero could give your team more gold, strong buffs, brief vision in a small area, and new abilities to be able to use in combat on their own accord to account for the fact they're essentially 4v5?
Like, you can interact with your team but nothing else, except gain experience as your team gains experience.

This idea could probably be used to grief, though. This is what happens when I think about stuff.

Its a waste of an item slot. For every 4 targets, you will deal ~30 damage to the entire group of units. With a wave and a few heroes, itll be about 45 damage average. That is less than a single second of radiance burn. Actually its worse than that because radiance gives a lot of raw damage itself .

They aren't the same cost but that isn't the point. Its a pointless "detour" item that doesn't give you much more damage, and is ass later in the game. It is literally burning gold for no other reason than because technically it has a magic damage component for veil to amplify (about 20 damage average over time with veil active)
