Tried running Aggro blood without storm, but the overwhelming amount of Runememers were punishing me for my lack of board clears.

How's this? I'm iffy about the generals but I could see them helping me on close matches. I'm still not sure about Mastema, she's been kind of a sitting duck whenever I pull her, but I still want to see if I can make her work in this deck

It's not a meme Chino. Sword is filled with great 5 and 4 drops and Blader just sucks by comparison.

Now you have Aurelia, Albert, Floral and Monika who all get far better value than Blader.

Blader has the stats of a 4 drop and the cards arent even that great when you consider all the cards I mentioned except Albert summon units DIRECTLY ONTO THE BOARD.

And Albert is a motherfucking smorc machine.

Avant Blader is not good enough to be included in ANY sword deck.

I've been playing ramp and our match up with tempo rune seems to be horrendous and I'm not even sure how to tweak to tech against it. If I don't ramp into Salamander's breath just right or if they hit too many Oglers / Daria then I just get swarmed by the survivors. Stuff like imprisoned dragon and goblinmount get removed by Levi no problem.

I can't imagine Face has any better of a match up because Rune easily dispatches low statline "unattackable" minions with their spells.

I took out cursebrands but it makes getting that early game lead a little harder sometimes.
Yurius and gobbi mage is so fucking good. Yurius just forces people to kill him or end up killing themselves while gobbi mage can pull vania for bat combos, blood wolf for face damage, or more yurius to annoy the opponent.

You can take out the Leviathan and Wyvern Cavalier for 2 salamander breath (don't have any). Urd is not really needed either, you can swap it out for 2 more Forte. Its good against sword and forest, but not that good against some others.

Also I also realize that if you have the pendant on the board and its the enemy turn its still in effect so if you have a 4/3 ward and they hit with a 5/5 follower it will kill them too.

There's nothing in the fucking game that can cycle through their deck as fast. 3x storms that will be evolved to hit face, 3x piercing, and 3x DoD. Rune can kill you with 0 minions sticking, and they have the fucking biggest boards.

Like any good deck it's a combination of many cards. You can only run three copies of Daria which is less than ten percent of your deck. People love to exaggerate, but it's true. A deck needs many decent cards to truly be strong.

The 2/2 that spellboosts a follower for 2 followed by the 2/3 is the core of the deck. That accounts for 6/40 of the cards and when combined with Levi and Rune makeup most of the deck's fire power.

There is nothing wrong with Ogler and Blade Mage. Those are both really nicely designed cards and a good way to push toward a new archetype.

Clarke is ridiculous though. The 2/2 (Craig?) I can understand maybe, but Clarke and Piercing Rune are absurdly strong. Every single deck in this game would run two to three Piercing Runes if it was a neutral.

That's just a strong Aggro start, they're all hard to deal with if they draw the nuts. Banner or Bats will also fuck you over if they get a strong start too, but if you manage to deal with it, you've usually won. Also you forgot Levi who is way more of a jackass in combination.

Daria is the double up that turns a decent chance of winning into a guarantee even against decks that clear the initial flood. The weakness of Banner and Bats is running out of steam, which is why they need reach options to close out the win. Rune's aggro deck instead of utilizing a bunch of reach(though Crimson Sorcery+Piercing Rune isn't something to sneeze at) uses Daria and completely fills their fucking hand with a pile of spellboosted followers ready to go again.
