The staff pretty much becomes useless after you get your awakening weapon. A few of the support spells might still be helpful. Ultimate Blizzard is maybe still good depending on your staff. But every other offensive spell is unneeded. The awakening spells have higher damage, larger radius, and lower cooldowns.

Make dummies to test it first before using the name you want. I spent a couple of hours on my waifu this morning and checked every lighting option in the creator, then as soon as I hit complete I lost a day of my free trial because the character creator is a separate spinoff title with its own unique graphics that don't look like the overworld of the MMO game.

They pulled a bait and switch technically, people got upset that they got invested into the game when whales could not earn in game money through RMT, the purchased founder packs worth hundreds, and also had been butt fucked by korean updates changing the meta quickly.

So out of nowhere new cash whales could get hundreds of millions a week just swiping their card. People who joined after that realize that it's not so bad, and it's actually kinda cool being able to get expensive outfits with in game money, but not everyone thinks that way.

Also the PRI to PEN upgrades were added around that time, which made a bunch of semi popular streamers quit because they felt they could no longer be competitive unless they became cash whales.

I wasn't here at that point in time, I played on release, and just came back recently, but that's kinda what I picked from forums, but I think I'm not far from the truth.

They're pretty fucking strong right now, they're "a bit" slow compared to other classes, but not really bad, arguably they'll be the best to farm future harder content where people actually can't just one shot everything and run, since their pet can tank the highest elites without a sweat that other classes struggle or need a group to deal with.

Depends on what level you are and what skills you have points in. Combat tends to feel floaty when the enemies resist your CCs though, at least in my opinion.
Practically everything Valkyrie has can end with Sword of Judgement or Celestial Spear (which can be followed up with SoJ)

So I stopped playing this game a few months after it came out. I remember world bosses would just one shot all melee due to being scaled to overgeared koreans and there was no hope of getting any good drops because the reward system was based on doing the most damage and your damage done would reset on your death. There's not much demand for complex controls in MMOs in the West, so everyone just winds up rolling ranged and mashing buttons instead of gitin gud at melee when games like this come out here. It's all RNG, sometimes you'll save a fuckton of millions, sometimes you could end up losing quite a bit. It's mostly about your materials and how you distribute your fails.

If there was certainty in the upgrading system people could easily buy shit, upgrade and resell, this isn't very profitable and it's too risky, it's only somewhat good for boss gear if you really know what you are doing and have a steady supply of mem frags and artisans memory.

Literally the best way to earn anything in this game is getting like 240+ CP, get a fuckton of artisan slaves, make them gather all the shit in the world, process for selling it and turn your profits into gear, boring AF but that's reality aside from exploits or market manipulation that might be unknown to the community.

Combat is fun and satisfying, hopefully the sandbox elements are also good.

Awakening weapons are stronger than your basic weapons by merit of inheriting AP from whatever base weapon you have equipped. So yes, you will be using the awakened weapon more and to better effect.
Some classes have useful CC or buffs in their basic line, but most of them want to stay with the awakened weapon 99% of the time.

Everyone recommends grunil for the free AP, but I doubt it matters much since it's all placeholder until boss armor anyway and pve grinding isn't hard enough to matter as long as your stats are fine for the mobs.

I personally use talis/hercules for 4move/5crit/5aspd and the bonus 150 carry weight.
