I buy an awful lot of sentries too. Too many really, I could get away with less if I read the game better. Pic related.

I recommend you carry *dust* and sentries, and save sentries for dewarding, tower pushes, high-traffic areas like runespots/rosh, or when a teamfight breaks out. Stay near your team, and if the enemy invis hero initiates on you, dust ASAP and your team should be able to kill them. There's nothing worse than getting killed, and then the invis hero gets off scott free because your allies have 0 detection. 2 people with dust minimum, buy it for them and drag it onto them/into their inventory if you have to.

Only get gem if you're a support that's tough to kill (mainly STR supports) or already have some defensive items if an invis hero goes on you. Don't get it if you're an underfarmed Rubick and there's decently farmed slark on the enemy team. Make sure you spam

I really fucking hate how some invis heroes can go like right up under you and unleash all their shit. Like shadow blade shadowfiend. Invis just seems very hard to counter properly and relies on the enemy miss playing. I hate relying on the enemy to miss play.

Sentries suck too. You can't really hide them and their range isn't that large, they give no vision of their own and they cost 200 and you can't buy them in singles. Why you can't buy single sentries I have no idea. So what are good timings to defend yourself from sentries?

Slardar is a solo offlane with pretty good mobility.
Slark and weaver are easy, pretty strong and mobile carries.
Queen of pain has a blink and is a strong mid. Storm spirit and timbersaw are also strong midlaners, but the latter is not as mobile.
Kotl is a support with high move speed, but without any Mobile skill

Literally the ONLY patches ive ever complained about since I started playing in 2012 are 6.83 and 7.00 and my only real issue with 6.83 was the fact that I didnt play or like any of the meta heroes and again was purely because of gameplay issues.
