I've got a 5 year old junker and I run on a customized ultra.
Depends on what GPU you have. Try fiddling around. I would suggest stuff like turning shaders/lighting etc down one level as they're computationally heavy. Texture quality depends on your VRAM but I've found OW underestimates and you can try turning it up.

If you play with VSync enabled, be sure to also turn on Triple buffering.

I've actually been giving a campaign some thought and how that would go.

The first idea I had was that each character that their own short storyline, maybe an hour each of gameplay/cutscenes, and each one would be more or less independent of each other. This would easily allow new characters to be added, but it wouldn't help too much with a larger storyline.

The second one I came up with is that you would start with five or so characters to choose from, and as you proceeded in each campaign it would open up other characters. So say you get half way through Tracer's campaign and Wintson's opens up, continuing off from that point in her story. You could build a much bigger story off of this, but it would be harder to add new characters because of this structure.

You usually have to update everything manually, at least the first go around. Since you have a 1070, you can just download nVIDIA GeForce Experience and that will download the drivers for you.

Their ults prevent dying in the first place. You can start fights with them and also turn around a losing fight. You don't have to worry about the team dying just like you want them to. Rezing and losing the fight afterwards staggers the team very hard. Some mercy players hide before the fight to guarantee a good rez and die during it. Two 5v6 fights when ults are equal are actually pretty hard. Zen Ana Lucio's toolkits are also very useful and benefit the team very well. Mercy doesn't scale well past helping just one player at a time.

I can't think of a good situation where I'd rather have a Mercy ult, but then again I'm not too creative. Hide while rest of team is getting graviton+dragon+ana grenade?

Bastion needs to be buffed to better do his job as an area denial hero and make recon mode not "free ult for enemy" mode

- self heal is now alt-fire instead an ability

- recon mode can move at 60% speed while self healing, also healing is not interrupted by damage, only reduced to 20 HP/s until sustaining 1 second without taking damage

- new passive: recon scan. Can see non-player objects within 40 meters while in recon mode (traps, turrets, mines, sentries, active shields like rein, Symmetra's, or Winston's.

Supposedly, Blizz is working on an Overwatch animated movie and/or TV (probably Netflix) series and is exploring more StarCraft and Diablo-related media after the financial success of the WarCraft movie. They appear to be pretty invested in Overwatch as a transmedia IP. Right now, the only actual appeal of Overwatch outside of the gameplay is its ensemble of colorful characters. I doubt Blizzard is deluded enough to think they can carry a long-term IP with just characters and only a vague context of what brings them together. As much as I think a campaign mode would be cool, the mechanics for the characters seem to be too grounded in multiplayer arena combat. Since you can't really switch out weapons or get upgrades like a lot of popular FPSs, I don't think we'll be seeing an Overwatch campaign mode to establish the story. It just wouldn't be fun running through levels with your static kit.
So if anything, the story of Overwatch will unfold outside of the video game.

Gotta love the Symmetra changes.

Not because they make her good/strong/viable or anything, but just because people seem to accept her for close quarters maps like KotH.

Also the shield is really what makes her great for combat IMO. Lets her close the gap in a 1v1, and that's what makes her a better fighter against every non-tank. People keep wasting the shield by throwing it down a main chokepoint but never use it in actual fights because of tunnel vision forcing them to hold that M1 even when they're not in range.

I think she's just barely viable, and only because most pubs in comp can't aim for shit. I'm going to be sad when they inevitably nerf her because pubs hate having to learn to aim.

My only goal in life is to kill the Mercy and Lucio so that my retard pussy teammates have a chance at getting past the main chokepoint they stream into 1 by 1. It's working really well in gold, especially when you basically never hear a Mercy res all game because she's always late to the party from respawning. Maybe things'll change when I rank up again.

Anyone willing to give me some advice about purchasing? I'm on xbox one and Overwatch is on sale, it looks pretty fun but I don't wanna drop $50 CAD just to end up playing it for an hour.

I used to play TF2 on PC a lot and really enjoyed the modes as well as the achievements which made me more likely to try the different classes. The not incredibly fast-paced gameplay is also nice, I'm a filthy casual.

Which brings me to my next point, teams. I'm used to the bigger teams of TF2 where you're relied on much less than you would be on a tam of 6. Is there some kind of system that matches you with people of the same skill level? I don't really feel like getting blasted for trying to learn the game.

Console poor fag here. Playing with K&M thanks to a XIM4. Any recommended settings? Currently at 1500dpi and max in game sensitivity. Great for quick turns, not so much for precision aiming with Ana or Widowow

I've been on a losing streak for a long time fans. I'm at 1283 right now (got to 1527 and losing streak began). I just want to get to ~2000.
