I really wanted to make a Nuro's raider build based around those frenzy rings and a quiver. Seems like it has a lot of synergy with Raider, too.

Unfortunately, Essence of Horror is 20c each and you'd have to go through dozens before you got a set of rings which would be acceptable (IE, have flat cold damage and life as well).

Maybe I'll try it in standard when the league ends.

Berserking is shit damage. A Jewel socket beats it easily. You needed your mana issue fixed, so mana leech was grabbed. Don't waste gear affixes with that shit. Evasion is a shit dice roll defense, Life Leech is consistent and strong. Especially with access to the Duelist's Leech Ring.

Get a Vinktar to boost your Boss dps. Vaal Lightning Trap will do until you get one. If you aren't comfortable with Vaal Pact you'll hate running lab. If you want stronger flasks grab a Bloodgrip. I highly recommend it for any Life build.

Pathfinder with Dying Sun would be best, but most expensive.

The tree has 210% life with like 250 Strength. It should reach 5.5k to 6.5k, which is good, but not great for T13+ as a true melee build. It's 1h+Shield so Kaom's is out. Next best option I could think of was the combined mitigation of Insta-Leech, Fortify, Block, Dodge, Spell Dodge to make getting one-shot or getting unlucky as fuck the build's only fear.

Well yea, you can't really rely on evasion alone, you also need to stack not-life to actually make it anywhere without getting one-shot every 5 seconds
I don't think the damage is too bad, my issue is that I've never made a crit build so I don't know how much I'd need to keep charges up via crits alone.
Also, there are almost no leech nodes near shadow and I don't know if I can keep ES up via GR with a single measly node alone

What about using the new Uul Netol boots, they're life-based boots, but what ES you lose from the boots slot, you can easily gain back and more from the shield slot you forfeit by using a 2-hander. The synergy with Flicker is obvious, frenzy on hit while bleeding, 10% phys reduction while "stationary" so always when flickering, and you can use a crit 1-hander for better scaling and damage. Or you know, go Raider.

Bleed is based on the hit's physical damage. It doesn't stack, so only the strongest bleed at a time is applied. This makes it a relatively non-issue debuff most of the time and a removable one when necessary. As a life build with high armour and high life regen, I don't even bother with my bleed removal flask anymore even in breaches where you have those a4 spikers that bleed on hit, I only use it for corrupting blood.

Bleed does threatening damage while moving. Flicker Strike puts you in a semi-permanent "stationary" position so you're never really degening for much even on a big hit you're supposed to outleech with VP anyway. CI builds also use a basalt 99% of the time, which reduces both the initial hit by 20% and the resulting bleeding degen by another 20%. As I said, the synergy with Flicker Strike is obvious, it would not exist for other skills requiring you to move.

Both have their advantages and disadvantages, elementalist gets extra golem + extra penetration for using a cold skill in the last 10 seconds and full screen aoe for 40% of the time you play, raider has status ailment immunity and frenzy charges which have a more multiplier and extra attack speed. They're both good enough to do everything in the game, it's entirely up to you which you want to do

Question: why don't CI builds use a 50+ INT ring for breach maps? Wouldn't 100+ INT (= 20% ES) plus average stats doubledbe better than anything they usually wear? This is the low-case scenario too, technically rings can roll up to 70 INT (= 28% ES in breach)

I strongly disagree with ever picking US post 2.2 when stibnite flasks were introduced, yes you can salvage the pathing cost with STR2INT jewels, but that's just that: salvaging

5% chance to being hit in worst case scenario, 52.5% with stibnite up

The Ranger stun avoidance cluster is naturally close to VP and you probably get much more value out of jewel sockets you can get now that you don't sacrifice a dozen points, on top of getting 10 INT, 30 DEX; 100% stun avoidance is achievable with essences although that is entirely overkill most of the time coupled with ES's natural 50% chance to ignore stuns

It might make sense for a WI build, but not for HoWaA since DEX is equally important than just getting INT and nothing else

TL;DR: stun is not an issue with proper itemization or flasks, why are you spending 12 points to get hit all the time?
