Atago, Kutuzov, or buying premium time?

What should I get?

I would only be buying premium time to lessen grind times, I'm rolling in cash.

I'm mainly looking for fun factor and dominating matches / winning is also fun. Also, the Takao is essentially an Atago, is there enough of a difference to warrant buying it though?

An honorable mention is the Saipan, I'm not particularly a CV player, but the major turnoff for me about CVs is losing squadrons of planes at a time and completely shitting on t5-7 games sounds pretty fun.

Depends what you play.
Do you play a lot of IJN and are ok with the climb without premium? Get Atago.
Do you play a lot Russian ships and are ok with the climb without premium? Get Kutuzov.
These because you can train captains on them without paying anything.
If the answer is no to both of these, then get the premium time. You'll have more freedom to play the ships you want and the grind will be less exhausting.

Well, fun is the most important factor for me. If I'm having fun, everything else falls into place. I play a lot of different ships, I like variation. This also means I really really like unique ships with unique playstyles.

I'm pretty close to getting all the ships I want, although I'm entering t8 play with some of them. There's a few t10 ships I want. The grind from t8-t10 seems pretty arduous without premium time.

Since Takao is essentially Atago, I guess my choices are Saipan, Premium time, or MK.

It really is hard for me to choose. T8 premium ship income is really good and while I'm swimming in credits now, the price of t10 ships is extremely high. I have the blys / scharn / dunkek / prinz eugen to grind with premium time, though.

Saipan is only enjoyable if you know how to play carriers, and have a 15 pt captain. The latter bit might change with the upcoming captain skill changes, but I haven't really looked at those so far.

Prem time is only valuable for the t9 - t10 grind, but my only advice for that is to never treat it as a race to t10.

MK is a sure bet, extremely versatile, one of the best (possibly THE best) cruisers in the game.

What other bb could it be? The Scharn is always in the store, as is the Ishz. The Arizona was in the store multiple times this month, Texas is always in the store/super easy to get for free for christ sake. There is literally only ONE other BB Premium that's ever been on sale (and it says expressly, returning), and that's the Nik.

WGing never expressly said they would never sell it again, only that it was unlikely due to balance issues, but with literally thousands more on the servers from Super Crates and Santa Boxes, it's kinda silly to not cash in on it come January, when those who were desperate for it and unlucky still have an urge for it. Scharnhorst doesn't make sense, as it's always in the prem store. It can't "return" if it's always there. It could be the Mikasa, but considering the event is for BB's IV and up, that wouldn't make much sense. Likewise the Mikasa is offered in the store semi-regularly. Arizona is the only one other than the Nik that could be called "special" as it hasn't been offered in the store with any form of regularity. That said, it HAS been offered for the past month on and off, and is in fact in the store right now. So returning makes little sense. The Nik is the only prem BB ever released the fits all the criteria of being released, some form of "special," a BB, and not being featured with any regularity in the store.

As far as DD's are concerned, the Kamikaze and Fujin could fit, but aren't that special, Ashan is offered regularly and the Lo Yang is always in the store as is the Blys. Leningrad could be it but its on sale now so it can't return.

I think people are putting too much stock in the whole "NEVER TO BE SOLD AGAIN" Thing that btw, they never said. They just said it was unlikely, but that's not the same thing as a no. If they turly felt it was off limits, it would not have been offered in Super Crates, nor featured prominently as a special reward in the Santa Crates. Obviously they view it as not something that has to be blacklisted, and a potential cash cow. After doing the event they just did it would make ALOT of sense to sell it by itself. Put it like this, I didn't get it from $20 worth of crates and I would gladly buy it directly now.

The main issue with CV's is how badly balanced the are against each other and the huge powercreep AA has gotten over them.

That said noone want's to go back to the days of CV's being able to ignore AA even against multiple BB/CA's and then one shotting someone with a dead drop either.
