What is the appeal of /vg/? I've been following the thread for months and it's mostly cryo/chem autism, waifus, eng/atmos autism and people shilling themselves. Why would anyone play here over servers like TG/Paradise/Bay for Low/Med/High RP? /vg/ hardly has any features, Bay has a multi-z spaceship map and TG has tons of gameplay content. What does /vg/ have?

With git magic, the paths don't have to change.
The idea is to make the job of tracking changes easier for git, and to make it easier for people to edit or add sprites.

There's already a bot doing change logs anyway, why not just stick an extra script to compile DMIs?

It assumes the .png/.gif files would be stored in the folder "iconsrc" in the main repo and that the compiled DMI repo would be called "vgcontent"

Since the "dmic" program doesn't exist, we can assume it would be able to produce multiple DMIs. Plus, different sprite sizes wouldn't be able to coexist in one .dmi file.

If I were to make the DMI compiler, I would make it so that parameters are set by the file path.
For example, if someone wanted to add an AI panel called "clock" using this method, it would be a matter of putting a .gif in

or a bunch of .pngs in
