Thanks a lot for the help Anon. I've decided to invest my effort into the beginner weapon that has 50 Upgrade Max. So I will have to use Plate scroll on it.

Yep. As soon as you get more levels for your weapon / shield by using it, and getting that number next to the item icon on the menu, you will get more rune count slots into your weapon. You have to be careful when fusing ability-infused weapons with smaller level ones, because if you fuse it with a weapon of a lower rune count, all the abilities don't carry over. I don't know how the game decides which abilities it leaves out, but I wouldn't risk anything when doing it, just to be sure not to lose any important abilities.

Yup, Shallie+ LE probably was the last ever KT game to have physical Vita release in west. IFI is actually pretty good publisher these days, they have physical for every region with an LE and normal version. I'm going to get the normal version for MS, mostly because I don't really do much with the stuff they give with the LEs. But with Gust series I always go for the LE.

I think there were some ways to break the basic rule of having to synthesize only the same kind of items to combine their properties. I believe it was somehow related to the Mixer enemy, as in it was the only one with which it was possible. Using Synthesizing Pot requires the items to be the same type, otherwise they won't mix at all. I guess it is one another way of finding out by doing, if you don't want to resort to online guides, which I personally wouldn't recommend, since it takes out some of the fun when trying to find out about things on your own. If the items you try to mix with weapons or shields aren't compatible, they are dropped by the Mixer after you defeat it after feeding it stuff.

Quite a good game for me.

I think the settings/story and characters are pretty well done. The art is really gorgeous in particular and OST is quite good as well. However it can get a little gory and disturbing at times since it involves quite a bit of blood and violence along with some weird stuff.

Battle system was alright but didn't impress me too much. I should add that the 3D modeling and animation are pretty great though, so it's still quite enjoyable.

Dungeon exploration is kinda nice with the gimmicks and stuff, along with things like nightmare chasing you and disabling automap, but some parts felt a little too unnecessarily huge and without direction.

Demon Gaze is among the shortest to finish, plus the amount of party adjustment is not too high. It also has level adjustment in case you have problems. For these reasons I think it's quite suitable to begin with it.

Moero Chronicle is a lot simpler, plus has a ton of fanservice if that's what you like, but you kinda have to import it so it's probably not cheap.

Dungeon Travelers 2 is more highly regarded here, but it's a bit heavier to begin with and the post game is very tedious (not that you need to do it). There's no difficulty adjustment, so it's relatively harder. There's a demo for this one though.

I heard that Stranger of Sword City is quite cheap now. You can think of it as harder than Demon Gaze, but not too much.

MeiQ feels more like an in between of regular RPG and DRPG. It's pretty straightforward, with levels being the main mechanism to overcome obstacles.

I kinda liked it. But still I recommend it people for 20-30, not full price. The max mode thing was a bit stupid, though I guess that makes it better for people like that PS lifestyle critic who said S;G 0 didn't have enough interactivity or shit like that.

Root Letter was a fine VN somewhere around 6 or 7/10, maybe stronger 6. It was nice to have some older characters as the main group, but the translation felt a little stiff. Mystery around Aya wasn't bad, but maybe there could have been a little more.

This, this so much. I've grown tired of JRPGs that don't have any meaningful romance stuff in them, so getting a game like Hearts R with that element in it, along with everything else the game had, it's one of the best JRPG experiences I've had in a while. Any Tales game after Xillia 2 and Hearts R hasn't resonated with me at all, and I used to be a really big Tales nut back when they brought the localizations back on track.

I'd recommend just going through the Fortune Tower before giving any of the extra dungeons a shot. That way you can get the story bits out of the way, probably meet some new allies while you're at it, and are then ready to tackle everything else the game has to offer.

And also, the dungeon center dungeons tend to be way harsher than the main one, so getting every possible bit of familiarity with the mechanics in the main tower dungeon is recommended.

At first I sucked so much you wouldn't believe (failing songs on easy etc.), but I pushed on and by the second game I got good enough to clear extreme songs and perfect some on hard.
It felt really rewarding and I ended up loving Vocaloids enough for them to become one of my distractions from suicide thoughts.
Diva F games have demos on PSN, you should check them out. Don't get scared if you fail your first attempts, I don't even remember how many times I replayed Weekender Girl before I cleared it on normal.

I like the game and Raid mode is fun, but they stopped patching the Vita version and the performance ranges from okay to horrible depending on the stage.
I'd suggest you get it on any other platform, even PS3 or 360 if that version exists over the Vita version. And even if you want to give the Vita version a try out of morbid curiosity, that price is way, way too high.
