Depends on your character, of course, I don't think that Laura even knew how to V-reversal as that situation went on so long. But V-R is a good way to gain a breather.

That Rashid's "string" is not really a string at all but a few careless pokes over and over again and hence full of holes, basically she could have poked back after the lp anytime, V-reversed, EX'd (as she eventually did), even CA'd.

Does this game have a rollback netcode?

I keep having weird little moments during matches where like someone will whiff a throw but then cut to already being in jab active frames or one time I got an EX DP anti-air and heard the KO start but then it showed him not dead and on the ground blocking

if you are crouching (holding down or down back) you can do the following motion:

and get a DP from crouch without standing up for the motion

i had the same problem when i mained ryu. recognizing the jump and inputting the DP motion took me too long so i often didn't get it out in time and ate the jump-in combo.

what i did is go into training, made set up five different action recordings (all doing a jump-in, but with a different amount of walking back and forward before jumping) and set the dummy to cycle through them all randomly.

that way you get a dummy that randomly walks back and forward and jumps at you in unpredictable intervals. then i did literally nothing but try and DP him over and over and over again. after nearly half an hour of doing this, my thumb was beginning to hurt so i stopped, then did the same again later that day for like 20 minutes. and ever since that day, i successfully DP jumps online at least 9 out of 10 times.
when you do this kind of training, it's important to make the dummy jump at unpredictable random intervals. if you make him do the same predictable timing all the time, you will just train yourself to DP in a fixed pattern instead of actually react to the jump when you see it. make it random so you actually have to react. it's very very important.

you can try using axe kick (hold backwards, press heavy kick) to anti air. it comes out a lot faster than his other anti air normals and hits closer than regular heavy kick. also when it hits them in the air, it knocks them down right in front of you so you are in a really nice position afterwards.

DP has the advantage of upper body invincibility, so if you input it in time it will ALWAYS straight up beat their jump-in attack, while your other anti airs can sometimes trade (you both get hit and take damage) or lose out to jump-ins if your timing is slightly off.
